This place works miracles on repairing coats. Last year I took my broken zipper to be replaced with a new zipper PERFECT ... this winter my Stone Island down jacket had a whole in it from last season... today I picked up the jacket... it was absolutely perfect, you can not tell there is even was a whole ... They said they could dry clean my suit within 24 hours for an added fee. I picked it up the next day as promised, but didn't realize until I opened it at my friend's wedding that the suit wasn't cleaned at all! See pic below. They told me over the phone they'd give me a refund and clean the suit, but when I showed up in-person, the lady said she wasn't authorized to offer the refund, asked me to come back the next morning to talk to 'Kenny.' When I showed up at the requested time, the lady told me that 'Kenny' wasn't in, and wouldn't be offering me a refund since they were cleaning the suit. When I pressed her, she claimed that Kenny was at a funeral, which is absurd as she hadn't breathed a word of that before. The lady ultimately gave me cash back, but this was by and far the most unprofessional experience I've ever had with a dry cleaner. read more

I have never posted a review but i am so apalled by the repeated abuse of this business. They charge outrageous prices and often force you to pay a steep rush fee cause their normal timeline is 1-2 weeks, which is unheard of. There is also clearly something sketchy going on because for more than a year they have only been taking cash "because of wifi" issues. What a sham. Do not go here no matter what. I loved and have used Sullivan cleaners for a while now, however my last 3ish times using their wash & fold service my clothes came back very tight & shrunk in the wash. I also have a few pairs of Lululemon leggings, which although they don't need to be dry cleaned do need to be cold washed, were coming back with increased pilling which is a sign of being improperly washed. I wasn't sure if it was just me, but both my flatmate & partner used Sullivan cleaners as well and all 3 of us had the same issues of shrinkage. Unfortunately, because it seemed to be consistently happening, I ended up switching my wash & fold location to a different competitor in the area. I think Sullivans has great customer service, are competitively priced, & their free pick-up delivery is super fast and consistent! But I'd definitely be wary of the shrinkage problem, and perhaps when scheduling your pickup perhaps specifying you would like your clothes cold washed would help (or if skrinkage isnt an issue for the clothes you're getting done). read more

I came in on a Monday morning at 745 to see the tailor. She got in at about 805 AM. She promised she could have a hem done before the next weekend (my sister only picked my MOH dress the weekend before the wedding!), and it was ready before 2:30 on Thursday. Wash the whites with the darks, lose my shirts then get all defensive about it. But if you're trying to save a few bucks and want your laundry done and work shirts washed and pressed, is what it is all the places around here pull the same crap unless you want to pay up. *** UPDATED*** So I have since moved on from Sullivan... Every neighborhood has cleaners so you have options. I do love the personal service, but they have consistently ruined several of mine and my girl friend's items. Shirts have come back missing buttons, stains have been added to my shirts (and I get crap when I return them to be redone), down jackets have come back with ruined fir trim and I've missed a few items in the past. I've explained that I've been a good customer but if they continue to ruin items I'll be leaving... nothing changed so I did.... *** OLD REVIEW *** They are very receptive, good counter service and reasonable prices, although I can pay less, I know they'll take care of my gear. I've taken stained shirts back to them and they do there best to work on it for 2nd round if you're not happy. 5 star for service Free pick up and drop off, but I prefer to drop off to make sure all my instructions are explained. Pressed shirts are $2.00, d/c they are $4, "Tops", Skirts, Sweaters and Polos for dry cleaning are about $5 - $5.50, pants are $5.75 and suits are $12. Everything is well pressed and organized. 4 star dry cleaning I've tried their wash n fold, which I know they just send across the street. They're stingy with the soap there and I didn't like the fold. Priced at scale and around $1 a pound if I remember. 2 star for wash n fold I've used them for tailoring and although the stitching is good, they weren't very receptive to my instructions. For instance, on a suit I asked twice to have pockets taken out and they didn't - twice because I had to go back because the hem was too short the first time. This is the WORST wash and fold and dry cleaning place I have been to in New York (I've lived here for 6+ years). I've given them wash and fold several times to have to return completely unwashed. My dry cleaning came back smelling like cheap febreze, covered in hair and completely unwashed...deodorant marks still in place, . In short: they don't actually wash clothes here, they just refold it your dirty clothes and charge you money for it. read more

I created a yelp account specifically for the purpose of writing this review. I dropped off 4 dresses to be cleaned over the weekend. One of the dresses had tassels on it. When I picked up my order, the tassels had been cut off of that dress and sewn onto one of the other dresses. So essentially both of those dresses are ruined now. The dress that they incorrectly sewed the tassels onto has also been shrunk two sizes and i can no longer wear it. I wish there was a rating less than one star that I could give this company. I will be returning to this store only to get a refund of my $66 that I WASTED having these clothes cleaned. DO NOT use this company. You will regret it when you cannot wear your clothes anymore and you've spent an obscene amount of money. read more

Love these guys! I recently bought a couple of new suit items. I took a pair of pants there to be taken up, it cost $20 (I think that was cheap!) - they did an excellent job and did it within in 2 days, very fast. I also got a pair of pants taken in and that was only $20.... very impressed again with the sewing job. Definitely going to be using these guys for my sewing alterations. They are one of cheapest places (especially being located in SoHo) to get professionally done alterations. Highly recommend them! read more

The other reviews here seem mixed, but I haven't had a problem yet. I brought some beautiful super-wide-leg Theory pants here to be lengthened, and the woman did a great job - she even pointed out that the pants were originally a bit uneven and she fixed that for me. I also wanted to make the pants longer than the extra inside-seam fabric allowed, so she added some piping on the inside and made them as long as humanly possible. Everything took less than a week and cost me $25. I brought my boyfriend here too to get a shirt taken in and it looked great - very professional. I also am a fan of their presentation when they clean my knits. I get my sweaters back in a sealed plastic bag that says "Your Sweater" - it's like a present! read more
