First timer manicure review... I walked in without an appoint in the afternoon, they seemed busy but was quickly greeted and seated when told I wanted a simple gel manicure. I was given these nail color sample swatches to choose from, so many colors to choose from. I quickly figured out what I wanted and they got to work on me as soon as they were available. Took about 30 minutes and was out very happy! It was actually the first time I had my nails done at a nail salon ever in my life and I was nervous(I didn't tell them though). I wish I knew the name of the lovely lady who did my nails, she was great. She cut, shaped, and filed my nails to my natural nail shape quickly yet very gently. I had a bunch of uneven cuticles and hangnails and she cleaned them up real good. After she painted my nails and it dried, she massaged my hands. Very a nice first experience and I would come back again. Also, I noticed they have a "under new management" sign and I hope the best of luck to this business and the people here. :)

New customer and definitely will be a returning one. I drove up and I must've blinked and passed it up. Parking is in the rear and driveway in between them and bigger building. Not very big but 4/5 massaging chairs and 2 tables. They did a great job my my pedicure. Best I've had in awhile. Prices are pretty good as well. $20 pedicure! I don't get paint or any treatments so that is a great deal. I was the last appointment(5pm) and there was one customer there when I got there. I will definitely com back.

I made an appointment with Quang for full set acrylic. He definitely had the most interesting technique I've ever seen but he shaped my nails perfectly. Usually at other salons, my nails would come out looking really chubby and fat but Quang made my nails look normal. One complain would be that he took off my previous set by sticking another nail underneath my nail but overall, I would go back to him. He's very friendly and a pretty good nail technician. The price was $42 for gel. UPDATE: For some reason, full set is $42 while my fill costed $41. One complaint would be that I got cut but it's all good because Quang put medicine on it. I love his work. He's very detailed oriented and always makes my nails look very thin and nice.

I would have given it a 5 star if the location weren't so cramped and a little nicer. But the gals in here are very sweet and did a fantastic job! They were late getting my in (I made an appointment) but super apologetic and kind. I've been to a number of other nail salons in the area and have walked away with bleeding fingers, toes, super thick- lumpy acrylic nails, colors I didn't want and or argued with when I wanted a certain color/simple design‍. These gals truly aim to have you coming back and I will be very soon read more

No clue how this place has perfect stars... 35 min after my appt they finally saw me. 2 coats of paint that didn't even cover my entire nails, the chair was uncomfortable with little cushion. My spine was killing me after sitting in it for 2 hours. I counted the massage. 20 -30 seconds each hand and foot. My friend had polish over her fingers and hands... it was a horrible experience and I will not be back. Base pedicure was also $7 more than the other places I've been to.. so disappointed read more

Wow. If you were a woman I'd understand defending yourself. But being a nail tech, and pointing out wht supposedly was wrong with my nails, n u didn't fix. Aren't u admitting you didn't fix them so I only wrote review because it was asked if me. I wasn't gonna do it. If u see I waited 4days to do so! But, I stand by wht I said. Mai and her lovely ladies have watched me grow up over the years....awww. I am serious. I always came with my mom and sat in the chair reading my Highlights magazine waiting for my turn to get my favorite polish "Princess Pink". Flash forward 25 years and a few things have changed. I have traded the Highlights magazine for Cosmo, Princess Pink is now Linkin Park After Dark and I don't need to get my mom's approval to put my painted fingers in the quick dry machine. One thing that remains the same is the service. The girls are sweet and do good work. This place is tiny but there is ample parking behind the building. You have to get buzzed in which isn't an issue. I do cheat on Artistic Nails because they're not open on Sundays. Shh don't tell Mai. Walk In's welcome but appointment encouraged due to the small staff size. read more

Quang did such a great job on my nails. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he was able to replicate the look. He might have actually done it better then the photo I showed him. I was looking for a local nail salon to have my acrylic nails removed and get a gel manicure and after searching I found this place and felt very lucky from all the places I looked up and went to I feel like I hit the super lotto. The owner, Quang, was excellent. He answered me right away when I messaged through the app and gave me a next day appointment. The shop is small and I was greeted as soon as I walked in. Quang worked on me himself and made sure he gave me exactly what I asked for and kept checking that I liked the length and shape as he gave me a full set of gel nails. Plus, when I realized that regular polish would take too long to dry, they applied gel color for no extra charge. I know where I'll be coming from now on. read more

I went to artistic yesterday needing to get a full set removed and get a gel manicure. I was sat immediately and the lady began to soak my nails to remove them. She did not even try to talk to me and left me sitting by myself. By the time my nails were done soaking the man was done with his other client so he took over. He was decent. I wasn't very happy with how my nails turned out but what are you gonna do? I'm only writing this review because my gel nail polish color completely changed in one days time. I'm disappointed because for what I paid I shouldn't be given a cheap nail polish that changes color. I won't be returning. read more

I went for the first time to this nail place yesterday i had given a call and left a message and quang gave me a call back as soon as he could he was the sweetest person he took really good care of my previously messed up nails from another salon. My wonderful daughter-in-law treated me to a pedi here at the new salon and oh what a treat it was. The salon was absolutely beautiful. It had soft music playing and was sooooo clean! My feet got massaged and nails trimmed and painted to perfection. She massaged my lower legs then we went over to the easy chairs where she put a scented, weighted neck wrap on my shoulders and put my feet up, lotioned my legs and had me rest until I wanted to leave. I would recommend the Artistic Nails & Spa to anyone and for sure will go back. What an amazing experience! It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. read more

Quang gave me the BEST pedicure i've ever received in my entire life!! not only that but he was incredibly kind and welcoming, has the best playlists, his salon is extremely clean, there's seriously like a million different colors (gel and polish, he has matching sets so you can do gel mani and regular pedi without trying to match the colors!) I have been looking for a decent salon in the arcadia/monrovia area and have had such bad luck at multiple places. i've been there over the years until i moved away, before such time, I had been very happy with their service. usually w/o appt will be little wait but their warmth of services are always nice and thorough. This is one place I have no hesitation return to in regarding to tip them well because they are very humble and happy with their work with customers and genuine caring thoughts for their customers. it's always a smile to see them when i walked in the door. read more

So there is lots of free parking available and cute shops, restaurants to go to nearby.

Mind you, I've been a nail bitter since I was 5 so if my cuticles are fucked, they didn't say a word and went right to work. That said, the nails turned out nice. No pain except a bit on the left pinky but again, habitual nail biter so not their fault. I paid 65 total for the set and manicure. + 9 tip (1 dollar extra for credit card) so 75 total. I had to get this for a conference but hey if I needed to get this done, this place seems solid! Again I know nothing bout nails so.... Place was pretty clean, she pulled out a whole bunch of new supplies which was nice. would come again if needed! I'll figure out how this works somehow haha

I never asked for my nails to be cut and did not give permission for that service. I only wanted the uneven shaping and dents corrected. The handling felt rough and uncomfortable, and I was shocked that my nails were cut without my consent. When I told her that wasn't what I wanted, she simply told me to pay for the pedicure only. By then, my nails had already been cut much shorter than I wanted, and the situation could not be undone. Such lack of communication and respect for what I had actually requested. Customers should be listened to and asked before any significant changes are made to their nails like grabbing a hand and cutting off the nails. And based on this experience, I would not return.

At the very beginning, when she was removing the old gel design, she used the bur tool so aggressively that I felt a burning sensation from the friction. One of my nail beds is now bruised because of this, which should never happen during a professional manicure. The gel application that followed was no better -- the cure buildup was crooked and uneven, with bulky, thick spots on several nails. She was not clean in her technique, and the overall finish looked sloppy and unpolished. Although she was personable, the combination of poor technique, lack of attention to detail, dismissive attitude, and physical discomfort made this a very unsatisfactory and unpleasant experience. I would not return and cannot recommend her services. Mind you that i was the very first client of the day!

For gel mani + regular pedi I think I've paid around 65 both times? So very good pricing! My gel mani has lasted over 3 weeks both times with 0 chips (and with glitter polish no less!). All the employees are super nice. They have a really good selection of gel polish. Their massage chairs actually work and are some of the best I've ever sat in at a nail salon. zero stars!!!!…read more absolutely furious. absolutely outraged. absolutely disgusted. my sweet, respectful, polite, shy young daughter went into this salon expecting a peaceful, relaxing nail appointment. instead, she was completely ignored, bulldozed, pressured, overcharged, and treated with a shocking level of disrespect. we called ahead and specifically made an appointment for dip nails with tips. we knew exactly what we wanted. we requested dip nails with tips multiple times. there was no confusion. after putting on the tips, the technician proceeded to apply gel x instead. we immediately spoke up and corrected her. not once. multiple times. we said dip nails. we called for dip nails. my daughter asked for dip nails. instead of listening to the paying customer, this woman looked us in the eyes with her beyond evil bad energy and argued with us and tried to tell us what we should want. she acted as if our opinion didn't matter and as if she had the right to override the service we specifically booked and were paying for. how dare you look us into the eyes with your beyond evil eyes,bad energy eyes and soul and ignore a customer's request over and over again? how dare you decide you know better than the person paying for the service? as if that wasn't enough, the technician also made my daughter's nails much longer than she asked for. my daughter specifically requested a shorter length, but her request was completely ignored. when we asked for them to be shortened, the technician refused. what makes this even more infuriating is that this happened to a sweet, shy, respectful young girl. her kindness was taken for weakness. her politeness was taken as permission to steamroll right over her. she was completely disregarded while an adult continued doing whatever she wanted. we should have walked out the second she ignored our requests. the only reason we stayed was because she had already glued the tips on my daughter's nails and we felt put in a position where we had no choice but to continue. looking back, i regret not getting up and leaving right then and there, even if the job wasn't finished. no customer should ever be made to feel trapped into a service they did not want simply because the technician decided to proceed against their wishes. we clearly stated what we wanted multiple times, yet our requests were completely dismissed. once the tips were already applied, it felt like the decision had been taken out of our hands. that is not how paying customers should be treated. then to add insult to injury, we were charged even more, $60 instead of the $50 we were told over the phone when we made the appointment for dip with tips! we were charged extra for a service we did not want, did not request, and tried to stop multiple times. and the part that makes me even angrier? we actually left a tip. we should not have. after being completely disrespected, overridden, violated, robbed, and ripped off, we still left a tip out of decency, a decency that was never shown to us in return. a nail appointment is supposed to be relaxing. it is supposed to be a treat. instead, this experience left us feeling violated, robbed, manipulated, and completely disrespected as paying customers. please do not spend your hard earned money here unless you want your requests ignored, your voice dismissed, violated, robbed, and your wallet emptied for services you never asked for. i have never been so angry after a nail appointment in my life. watching my sweet, respectful, polite, shy daughter be treated this way filled me with a level of rage that words can barely express. this was completely unprofessional, completely unacceptable, and absolutely disgraceful. shame on this salon.

My feet have been through it the last couple of years (sports) and I wanted to get serious about caring for them properly, not just getting them painted. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!
