I'll start this off with how picky I am with my nails. I started seeing Nathan a few months back and he has done a fantastic job. I get gel x nails each time and he has been so consistent and always does it exactly how I like. The service here is great and they are always making sure I'm comfortable and happy. Chelsea is also so gracious and helpful every time. I've been in this neighborhood a little over a year now and I'm so happy I found this place - I'm now a loyal customer!

I love this place. Whenever I feel like treating myself or just getting a nice manicure, this is the place I come to. This time I wanted to treat myself for some summer nails and sent them a design idea. I was able to get an appointment the next day and it came out so awesome. The staff was so accommodating. Have to give props though, Quinny is an artist. She was able to replicate the design so beautifully. I will definitely be coming back again.

Always love going to this place, as you can see with all my reviews. owner is very nice, she will see how you're doing. Peter did my manicure twice already and I really like it so far, I just get French tip now cos it's easier to maintain and he does so perfectly :) Theresa did my pedicure, and she's so gentle, and when she removed my ingrown, it didn't hurt at all.

I really appreciate that Diana encouraged me to grow out my natural nails so that I'd experience less damage. My nails grew out & she's been able to help me maintain my natural nails with gel and whichever shape I'm in the mood for. I chose almond shape with a pretty red shade for 4th of July & Disneyland. It's so nice not needing to worry about extensions or potential damage to my nails. Thank you, Diana! On top of that, she's so sweet! Book with her!

I came by to get my nails done for Valentine's Day and Lunar New Year. Mia did an excellent job. While not the most friendly or talkative, she was skillful. Chelsea, the owner is always friendly and nice. The inside is clean, modern and spacious. The is a free parking lot in the back.

Loved the clean and very calming feel this place had the fishies water fountain are cute. Lady sitting at the front desk very sweet made me feel so good. Obsessed with my gel x nail design Quinny made them look even better than the inspo pic! They went perfect for my trip to Mexico.

I was in Monrovia and needed a last minute nail appointment on a Sunday, which is not easy since most salons are closed. I decided to take a chance on this newer spot after seeing some decent Yelp reviews and I'm so glad I did. Fiona did my nails and absolutely nailed it. I told her I wanted something Easter inspired and she quickly gave me great options. My nails came out beautiful. I had a different technician for my pedicure and she did a phenomenal job too. I'm a little picky with my toes and she did not disappoint. Great experience all around and I will definitely be back.

I came in on a night where I was already in the area for dinner. I chose this place because it was opened late, after our dinner, I typically have a usual spot. The place looks dirty when you walk in, the nail samples thrown everywhere and messy. No organization or attempt to keep them clean or organized. I asked for gel mani, and if you know nails, these are more expensive because they are meant to last longer than regular polish. Mine started chipping two days after. It wasn't the nail techs fault, she was AMAZING. It was the products used. Normally for gel you need multiple layers to seal it In. My nail felt soft like if it was regular polish. I won't mention the technician by name because she was amazing . Friendly, knew her art and took good care of me. Not her fault the product supplied to her wasn't good. They did offer to fix it, but I have a disability that prohibits me from driving. That's a $60 uber drive. Might as well go to my usual spot to get it fixed for less than that.

After calling many salons, I decided to settle with Urbane Nail Care because it seemed to be the cheapest gel manicure in the Monrovia area ($30). Since it is situated north of Myrtle, there is limited parking and you may have to park at vons. It's safe to say you'll find a color you'll like because they had so many options to choose from. My tech was Thu and she was so sweet! She was patient with my nails as she filed and painted them. I was so happy with how they turned out especially because there were no bumps at all.

Gel X sets by MIA! Love my nails every time I come here. It was my first time getting gel X and I love how long they last. A full month with no lifting or cracking. Just have to go in for a fill.

Love this place because it is clean and they are open late to accommodate clients who need later appointments . The owners / managers are so kind to accommodate & are very hospitable. I love they are open late until 10P.M. Between late work days & traffic .this salon allows me to get the nail care I need efficiently & in a very relaxing setting. My Nail tech for my manicure was Diana& she he was amazing and made sure she cleaned all my cuticles and prepped my nails as I requested before adding on the gelx. She was so patient with me to get the detailed look I needed for an event I needed to attend Sat She was so kind to pay attention to every detail and made sure to achieve the look I wanted with my nails. She is super professional & talented! MIMI, was the nail tech who did my pedicure ,she was so thorough on making sure she got my feet not just looking great , But feeling great & healthy. I work 12 hr shifts on my feet , Mimi, made sure to truly exfoliate my calloused heels & get all in growns fixed Nail wise.My feet were transformed into soft &smooth & feeling great again. She made sure the color & length for my nails were also achieved in the details I expressed.. My feet felt brand new after this pedicure. But all the ladies were so kind and accommodating. Their customer service is definitely 5 stars .their venue has street parking spaces in the front . But I absolutely love how they can accommodate for people with busy schedules. They also offer a wide variety of nail services. Everyone here was just so sweet & talented . The decor itself is very whimsical, clean and relaxing. They have beautiful plants & a lil mini pond in the middle of the salon. Transforming and relaxing the ambiance of the space! I highly recommend this Nail Salon. read more

This experience was a -100/10. I made an appointment and was assured a PEDICURE service would be provided. When I got there, the PEDICURE technician was hostile reeking of HUMAN-TRAFFICKING, working up to 13/ day with NO pay in over a month. She was very rude. She was slamming things down. Visibly hostile in tears. Someone needs to investigate this matter right away. In addition, she was biased and RACIST! This is the second time she refused a scheduled service. I left with no PEDICURE & minister left with a partial PEDICURE. Very unacceptable. Very weird. read more

I absolutely hate leaving yelp reviews but ... ??? what was that service? I'm still appalled. service - non-existent, complete trash.. not a single worker in that store looked happy to be there. why did everyone look so miserable working there? its 90+ degrees weather outside and they had no AC, no fan, no open door or window for ventilation. I was sweating... paid over $130 for a at best mediocre to below average full set / pedicure service. $130!????? and to top it off she glued my skin to the acrylic on multiple fingers. i almost want to go to another store and get them removed but you know, i paid over $90 for a full set. outrageous. I religiously get my nails done every three week'ish.. It's my one thing I look forward to but this place totally ruined it. My original nail salon that I've been going to for the past three years moved quite far from me so now I am left to find a new place. I am a loyal cliental. I honestly don't mind at all paying for a good service but paying $130 + tip + a credit card transaction fee for a below average service I could have received at another shop for $70-$80 blows my mind. do not waste your time. I have no idea how this place has over 4 stars. I will never come back nor recommend this place to anyone. Jesus. read more

I'm only giving it three stars because I've gone other times and it was amazing. This time my nail tech over cut my toe nail and left it bleeding, then added gel polish on it and now I have a nasty infection. I got my nails done for a wedding and now I can't even wear my heels! so disappointed this time, I probably will not be returning, I'm going to stick to my Russian manicures because this never happens when I go elsewhere. read more

I wanted to love this place because of their extended hours, but unfortunately I will not be returning. Walking in I had an appointment at 8:30, the owner mentioned to arrive at 8:15, so I did.. the team was running a little behind, so was taken in at nearly 9:30. No big deal. Understandable, people run behind. However, the straw that broke the camel's back here is being charged extra (not previously discussed ) for the "Cat Eye" nail polish selection. I came in for regular gel manicure, which was supposed to cost $30 based on my phone conversation with the owner which is the average price in the area, to later pay $50 just for a gel manicure, nothing fancy. 1 day later the nail polish started chipping and has broke one of my nails read more

Chelsey at the front desk is always so helpful and friendly. I'm very picky about my nails and have had Monique, Emily, Lynn and now Tammy work on me. Tammy suggested I try out hard gel and I am extremely pleased! I always get acrylic done as that's what I'm used to. I've never had my natural nails this long before and truly appreciate when nail techs genuinely care about your nail health. She was gentle, kind and informative. Lynn always does my pedicure and I only go to her! She is so sweet, bubbly and very gentle. 10/10 recommend this nail salon! read more

This is hands down the best nail shop I have ever been to. The girls here provide top-tier nail care and truly care about their clients. Diana and Lynn are amazing--they take their time, pay attention to every detail, and make sure you are 100% satisfied with the final result. Mia does it again! I can in wanting to try a French tip, as I wanted to see what it would look like on me. I wanted this beautiful French tip set with the dotted flowers on two of the nails that I saw online for springtime. She was very thorough in making sure it was what I wanted and made any adjustments necessary. Mia is kind, efficient, and always makes sure you leave with amazing nails! I went in for a walk-in pedicure a couple months ago. I had fresh nails as I hadn't had a pedicure in months. Service was mid at best. Tech didn't seem happy, vibe was not friendly in general. I brought my work laptop in so I could get through emails during the pedicure so I wasn't really paying attention to what was happening. I chose a pearly white color. It was streaky and didn't appear to be carefully applied. The worst part was that weeks later when I removed them at home, I noticed 8/10 toe nails were discolored/ white and yellow. Pretty sure I got a nail fungus. Hard to give this place even 1 star. Very ghetto. Would not recommend. read more

Greatly quality nails. I love the shape and quality of the extensions that they use. Very quick application I had a French mani and pedi and was out within 45 min. Chelsea, the lady at the front desk is HORRIBLE. I got my nails done and noticed I got contact dermatitis from the gel polish touching my skin. I called and let them know about it and Chelsea asked me to come back so they can take a look at it. They only wanted to give me a refund if they remove my nails and not because of what they caused. She was so rude about it. I didn't have the time to remove them right then and there and said I was coming back. She then said that if I don't do it right now she wasn't going to refund me later only give me store credit. She was beyond rude. And you can clearly see the contact dermatitis on my skin. read more

They are nice when you first come in but if you have any issues with your nails DO NOT expect good customer service. They will also ask you to write a review as soon as you're done with the service... so I wouldn't fall for all the great reviews.. just fyi. Run from this place. There are a lot of great nail salons near by that will treat you well. read more

The Pros: It was super easy to get the desired appointment day/time that I needed. The price was incredible, $30 for a gel mani and $25 for a basic pedi. WOW! They offer a wide selection of nail polish options, both gel and regular. It was FAST! I was in/out in 45-minutes. The Cons: They do not do a massage. It's more of just lightly (and quickly) rubbing on some lotion, not even fully rubbing it in. (Although I only requested a basic gel mani/basic pedi.) The pedicure water was lukewarm at best. The overall mani/pedi was just OK. There wasn't anything that stood out. It was just fast and done. The place could use a good scrubbing. The tools were taken out of autoclaved bags, and the pedicure tub was lined with a plastic insert, so it was clean enough, but the floors/baseboard and store itself was not the cleanest. Overall: I would probably come back to give them another try in the future if I really needed a fast appointment. Maybe with a different technician. All in all, it wasn't bad. It just wasn't anything super exciting either. For the price, I really cannot complain, but I wanted to leave an honest review. read more

Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

RACIST MANAGER ! INCONSIDERATE STAFF! PAINFUL WORK! READ THIS Asked for a gel mani and basic pedi at 9:30am. Burning hot water for pedi and didn't ask if it was a good temperature. I was the lady's first customer ever (new employee) and she is so unorganized and kept leaving to get supplies. *No foot scrub, *used nail clippers instead of correct tool, *no clipping dead skin, and *no foot massage. Tony did my nails and I asked for Gel. He used the dremel directly on my nail. he used dip powder but said it was powder gel. He filed the corners of my nails down to the skin and it was so PAINFUL. Nails did not fit and were crooked. I left at 12:30pm. I came back the next day for a full refund and the manager said "yes, and I can repaint your toes for complimentary for the complaint" Still a bad paint job, doesn't paint entire nail. Also I got my dip powder nails removed. It was PAINFUL and it never should be. The Filipino lady tried prying them off with nail clippers but I kept telling her they are not ready and I need to soak them more. She didn't even file them nicely after and my nails are SCRATCHED UP. I was being surrounded by every single worker. They would come up to me and stare and me then stare at my nails but never say anything. I ended up getting only a $17 refund for a $53 service. 2 weeks later I come back to tell the manager how painful it is to function with my damaged nails and she said to me, "I'm sorry you had a bad experience but I don't know why when my other customers like us. It's not Tony's fault that your nails are bad because you have different skin so that means you have different nails." What the hell does that mean "different skin" ?!! RACISTS I went to another nail salon and asked how badly my nails are and they said "it will take at least 6 months to grow back because they filed them down to the nail bed" also 2 past employees from Urbane work at this place -romantic nail read more

I have been going to Urbane exclusively for ten years and can't say enough to shine the bright light on it that is deserves. Sylvia provides my manicure and Jacqueline my pedicure. Both women are very talented at massage. Their work is impeccable and always consistent. They are truly kind human beings - thoughtful, sensitive and careful. I tell Sylvia often that she is an artist and magician. My hands frequently arrive in a really challenging condition. Thanks to her skills I depart with elegance ! Additionally, I get the callous removal treatment for my feet for an extra ten dollars. It is really worth it if you find your feet in such a condition. Jacqueline works really hard to send you off with nice smooth feet. Overall Urbane is such a pleasant environment. The owner Tony and his wife are really nice people. The salon is odorless and the massage chairs included with the "Signature Care" mani/pedi really feels good with a variety of settings. The chair is an extra component in the overall relaxing experience at Urbane. This salon is my go-to oasis and sanctuary not only because I enjoy looking polished; but as somewhere I relax and rejuvenate. It was my lucky day when a friend gave me a gift certificate to Urbane for Christmas, which began my relationship. It truly was the gift that kept giving ! Nice Salon, But Had Some Issues with Gel Removal and Longevity I recently visited this nail salon, and overall, it's a nice spot with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The staff is very kind, and they really seem to put effort into their work. However, I did experience a few issues that I feel are worth mentioning. First, there's a persistent cricket noise in the background, which was a bit distracting during my visit. It's a minor detail, but it did affect the overall ambiance, especially since it was quite noticeable at times. More concerning, however, was the gel removal process. I was accidentally burned by the gel remover, which caused intense pain in my finger. It was a pretty unpleasant experience, and I ended up having to remove the nails myself a day or two later. As for the nails themselves, they didn't last as long as I had hoped. The gel didn't seem to hold up well, and they started chipping sooner than expected, which was disappointing given the effort they put into applying them. That being said, I do appreciate the hard work the staff puts into their services. Despite these issues, I think they have potential, and I'd be willing to give them another chance, hoping that they can improve on the gel removal technique and enhance the durability of the nails moving forward. read more

I have lived in Monrovia for many years. I've driven by Urbane for years but I never stopped in. That was a huge mistake on my part!!! All these years and I'd been missing out on the wonderful nail stylists that work there... Well not anymore! I was in a pinch to find a fresh new place to have my nails and feet done in the evening after work. Urbane is open later than most salons. I thought, why not call Urbane and give them a try.. I'm so glad I did! The salon is bright, clean and fully stocked with the latest nail colors, gems and sticker art! The massage chairs are all in working order and very well kept! The receptionist will place you with a nail stylist that is best suited for the nail style your requesting. The prices are very very reasonable and consistent. First time today, so easy to book on line. I was a little nervous to try somewhere new but couldn't get an appointment with my regular before vacation. So happy I got exactly what I asked for at Urbane. I requested no acetone removal of my hard gel overlay and even though that was their normal process the Owner/Manager agreed, no problem. I asked for tools/machine only removal, short short nails for 3 weeks of vacation, and I chose the checker design from a picture on their monitor. Large variety of colors and had the 2 OPI shades I wanted for Hawaii vacation, Aloha from OPI (Monique for hard gel overlay) and Cajun Shrimp (Lynn for gel pedi). Both super sweet, made sure everything was what I wanted. Parking easy, salon is spacious, and the hours are super flexible! I will definitely be back. read more

This place is adorable, plants and lights everywhere. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures but I assure you it's lovely! The nail techs were friendly and professional. My cuticles are pretty sensitive and usually bleed when trimmed during a manicure but that wasn't the case here, so I appreciate how gentle the nail tech was. I got a regular polish manicure which typically chip very quickly but the color has lasted with little to no chipping for almost 2 weeks, which is very impressive for me because Im definitely not careful at all with my nails and often use them as tools. I would definitely return next time I'm looking to get my nails done. My friends and I had a great time getting manicures here. read more

I can't say enough great things about this salon. Everyone is so welcoming, the place is clean, they use new files and clippers on every customer so there's no chance of cross contamination and line the foot baths. I called earlier in the day and booked an appointment for the same day. Was seated almost immediately and got right to work. They even offered me a bottle of water. My friend finished before I did but they were very accomodating and pulled up a chair next to me so we could continue chatting. Silvia did my nails and I absolutely love them! Although the whole process took a while - an hour and a half - it did not feel like it. Silvia was very efficient and super nice. read more

Came here early December with my sister in law. This was her first time getting a pedi and she was hesitant about getting a fulls set of acrylics, but she did and left a happy customer. The team is nice and social. We went today for a fill and toe nail color change. We are just as happy as we were the first time. Kara and Ana worked on my nails the last time. I adore Ana and her work has been flawless! I'll be back in 2-3 weeks. PS they are clean and gentle , which is especially important to us. I actually called for an appointment and was running a little late but the staff called to confirm and I like that. Great service! I had my nails pretty outgrown (acrylic)from my last service at a different location, and was quite hard to come off. However, the lady who assisted me was asked if it was too painful to let her know (since the acrylic were so glued to the nail). She did an excellent job! The whole process was smooth and effective. It's really hard to come across a really good nail salon , and this is it! At any other location they snap your fingers in half to file them down! Not here, they care! read more

Found this place on yelp but did some thorough research first to make sure they did good gel acrylics. I am so glad I made my way out there because it was 10000% worth it! Winnie did an amazing job with my toes and I would totally recommend her for a pedicure. Here's the fun part! Tammy did my acrylic full sets and I am overjoyed with how they turned out! I trust my experts when they tell me what they think is best so when she advised again my first design because it wasn't meant for my coffin nails I went with it. i'm not sure what magic this place is holding but every nail tech I've been to here so far has been AMAZING. They're all so sweet, they really listen to what you want, they're GOOD at their job, and very detailed. I've been about 5 times now and every time I've gotten someone different, but every single one has been SO GOOD. I get almond and they always shape is so perfectly! Im used to Urbane to get nail done for many years. i recently needed to find a lash technician and i met MoniqueThe location is right by where I work and I was able to get an appointment the same day that I called. The place is clean and the atmosphere is relaxing. Most importantly the staff is so sweet and professional and Monique is talented beyond words. My lashes look way better than they have in a while. She was very patient with me showing him pictures and he exceeded my expectations!! I did get lashes and they feel silky and look super full. I love the job she did. read more

This place is absolutely beautiful and everyone there is so amazing at both making you feel welcomed and helping you choose out your. Color. I had made an appointment to get a fill to fix my terrible nails from a previous nail salon and they made them amazing again! Tony even gave a free design on both of my ring fingers for free!! It's important to know that new customers also get 20% off and the receptionist even gave me a $5 gift card! My nails were amazing and I felt so relaxed. I loved my experience here. The staff were so attentive and courteous. It's been so long since I've had a full set that I absolutely loved. The technician took his time and was very detailed. He made sure that I left feeling great. The prices are extremely reasonable and they use the best quality products. I most definitely recommend their services and have them five stars for their customer service, quality product, price, cleanliness and all over experience. Beautiful coffin nails (acrylic) done by Tony. This is my first time here, and I LOVE IT. The color is amazing and Tony did a fantastic job.Definitely will be coming back! They had a lot of loyal customers, and I really liked the atmosphere (was laughing and chatting with them). I should've tipped more! Highly recommend! My coffin nails were shaped beautifully and even, he really took his time! OMG!! Donna is the BEST!! I always come here because Donna is my real beautition!! I started with waxing here i stopped going elsewhere.. Her facials are amazing!!! I'm more relaxed, awake, refreshed, and not dried up... As a tense person i still rather not resort to acupuncture because of scary things i have heard and read, Thank GOD I found Donna's best talent for messaging and relaxing faces during facials with the best skin products!!! I really enjoyed my experience. I have to mention their hours are very flexible, as I am usually out of work at around 8pm which is pretty late to go to any other salon since they are usually closed by 6pm of before, but thankfully after a long day at work I was welcomed by Chelsy who was very nice and welcoming . I was able to get a pedicure which did not disappoint. Tiffany was really sweet we had a great conversation and she was very gentle when doing my pedicure. I came in on a Sunday afternoon to get a gel manicure and was seated immediately. The nail salon has a nice variety of cute gel nail polish colors. I got my old gel manicure soaked off and got glittery pink french tips. The nail technician was able to easily replicate the nail design I wanted based off the picture I showed her. The service I received was quick and efficient. The manicure was decently priced and also included a massage at the end. All people working here so friendly too. I love all. read more

Love this place ! This was my first time going . I love to feel pampered when I go to a salon because I hardly ever go . I really like a relaxing and beautiful atmosphere . The service is 5 stars ! The staff is amazing . They listen to you , make you laugh , and have genuine friendly conversations with you . I felt like I've known them for years and we were old friends . the price was affordable and I loved the service and really liked my gel mani . I got polish and got glittery yellow .
