Like other Manhattan working girls, I am not one of those girls that wants to spend hours picking flowers or color schemes for the tables, I have better things to do. James helped us from step one, picking the venue (he flew out to L.A. with us a year before the wedding to tour all of the venues we had contemplated), to everything else. Every single aspect of the wedding was taken care of, from picking the chairs, minister, etc. to getting heel liners for my bridesmaids during the wedding because their shoes hurt them. The morning of the wedding I was freaking out about the lenght of my dress, so he took me to a store where I found a new dress THAT morning. (I wore them both....oh he also gave me input on the dress.) He found the cake person, the lights person, got us an INSANE discount on an AMAZING, famous photographer that delivered 10,000 photos. The value of his contacts and knowledge is, well, invaluable. I know what you are thinking, oh he probably changes insane rates, but NO. He charges 10% of the total cost of YOUR wedding, so whatever you are paying for your wedding, he will charge 10%, you CAN afford that, and most importantly, he pays for HIMSELF. The money he saved us in the photographs, the venue, the save the dates and the dress discounts easily just paid his fee. I will be forever and ever grateful and happy me and my husband found the most amazing wedding planner out there. I am telling you we interviewed DOZENS of wedding planners. They were either inexperienced, too expensive, too intense, etc. James is the one.

As soon as we hit July, Sarah was all over the coordination of the vendors, decorative details, timelines, tipping, you name it. But the real magic comes on the wedding day, where the Daughter of Design team ensures a seamless transition from planning into reality. Some of my favorite details from their service: a timeline down to the minute by minute breakdown for both the rehearsal and the wedding, managing of the tips for all of the vendors, being the liaison between us and the venue, and of course, directing all the traffic from wedding party to the guests and the event. Their attitude and service always put me at ease, and made me feel dangerously relaxed for the wedding :) Unless you want to be the bride running around with a clipboard on your big day, I would recommend signing up with Annie/Sarah now. I will say the ball like centerpiece and my table cascading flowers were beautiful but it stops there. Yes she is sweet but she is also very busy. Very hard to get a timely appointment, but i guess that's understandable. Regarding my wedding , she provided me fake flowers when i was greeting each guest table i noticed real flowers were mixed with fake, when i paid for REAL. No where on my contract does it state fake flowers will be used, but on my wedding day at mother in-law table once i got close up it looked so thick so I leaned in close, and I touched it just to make sure it was fake because I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I was in a state of total disbelief. Now during my mock up she did use a mix of fake flowers but she told me that she didn't have enough fresh flowers in the store to finish the mock up, and I thought that was the reason she used fake flowers during the mock up. Keep in mind I'm near sighted I didn't have my glasses on so I had to get close up of everything. At the venue a lot of the the center peices looked like they were thrown together very sloppy it didn't even look like my vision or what she showed me in the store for my mock up it was sooo sloppy. Some of the centerpieces even leaned to the side the halo centerpieces had gaps it looked flowers was missing like it wasn't enough flowers. At the top of some of my centerpieces they wasn't even finish even underneath them. I have a picture actually a video that I took of the centerpieces. My bridesmaid bouquets seems rushed and whatever dye that was use dripped on the girls dress and had pink stains all on their dress. It was like it needed more time to dry or something. Now The size was totally off the bouquets she delivered were nice but very small it was not the size bouquets I paid for or the Bouquet I showed her in the pictures the size was totally off it looked like junior bridesmaid Bouquets . Michele was patient and helpful when we weren't able to book everything right away since it was too far in advance for some of the vendors but Michele kept on top of it to make sure we got all of our first choices of venue and vendors as soon as their books opened for our desired date! Michele answered all of our questions and was a very good communicator as well as SUPER organized which was comforting to a type A person like myself. We did use a day of coordinator through Pop the Knot as well and Mike was amazing!! We only met him in person day of but his energy was great and everything went off without a hitch. He helped set up the space the way we wanted, made sure our guests were where they needed to be, helped with my entrance, and controlled the music. He also made sure he came out to introduce himself before I made my entrance so I wouldn't be meeting him in person when I walked into the space which I thought was a nice touch. Overall I had a great experience with Pop the Knot and would recommend their services!
