But Katie's eyelash magic is just too amazing not to share, and I'd be selfish if I didn't give her the praise that she very much deserves. So far I have only done a lash removal (for lashes done by another salon) by Katie and her customer service and genuine care for my lashes has ABSOLUTELY SUPERSEDED any other person/ salon I have ever experienced. Not only did she just fly in from another state the morning of our appointment, but she squeezed me in for an appointment in Morgan Hill, between her San Jose appointments at the last second because she simply wanted to save my lashes. Katie truly was concerned about the health of my lashes and was willing to do anything she could to help. My eyes were in pain from multiple lashes being glued to together and way too much glue had been used on my previous set. To say the least my eyes were in pain from where one lash was being pulled on by other lashes and my right eye especially was sore to the touch. I was willing to wait until my removal and new set next week but thankfully Katie convinced me I needed my old lashes off ASAP. She quickly removed the old, clumped lashes and balls of glue. Go to Katie. Not only did she educate me throughout the whole process, telling me everything she was doing, but she basically gave me an entire lesson on the cycle of lashes. Also, before I went to her, you could see that I had damaged lashes (from an eyelash perm). Some were long, thin, and bent, while others were extremely short with the tips burnt off. She managed to customize my lashes to make them all around the same length, extending the lashes, and making the damage very much less apparent. I'm actually pretty lucky that I went to Katie, because she was very careful with my damaged lashes and made sure she didn't give them something they couldn't handle. Lastly, just minutes after my appointment, I walked into cheer practice and multiple people asked me WHO did my lashes, rather than where did I get my lashes done, which I think really shows how talented Katie is. read more

Ok....I'm going to write this. But like Nicole P, I don't want everybody to know my secret! Here's what I have learned in my "lash journey." There are three price tiers. The first tier are lashes for under about $100. They are usually administered at day spas or nail salons. But these people are not specialists and they are usually not very skilled. Instead of gluing one fake lash to one natural lash, they'll clump them together. You'll get glue all over your eyes and it feels crunchy and uncomfortable. They use cheap supplies. The lashes look fake and conspicuously thick. They start falling out on day 1. So after two experiences like this, I decided that I love having eyelash extensions, but that I should go to someone who ONLY does lashes. That's when I discovered that there are other tiers (both in price and in value). Lash SPECIALISTS. They cost more (get prepared to pay up to $175 for a new set and probably close to $100 for fills..maybe every 3 weeks). But they are gorgeous and natural, last a very long time and are comfortable to wear. No more crunchy glue. No more shedding of dozens of lashes from day one. (There is another tier--the over $300 tier. This is way outta my league. :-) ) But the middle tier was within reach. A lash specialist who really knew her stuff, used high quality lashes, and took the time to really DESIGN your look...for you and your personality (with your input). And then I found Katie! I loved that she accepts text messages. She requires a deposit when you book your time slot (you can pay online), because she's very busy and often booked way in advance. And she's charming and adorable. I clicked with her right away. She works out of her home...but it feels cozy--like you're at a friend's place. Katie is the real deal. She may charge middle tier prices, but she delivers top-tier service. She is a lash ARTIST. She customizes my look for me, and my lashes look great. It is AWESOME to wake up and look good...it's like you have your eye makeup on and you just naturally look beautiful in the morning. Ha ha. My eyelashes are so blonde they're practically invisible, so this is a great change (I wake up looking like the living dead without my lashes). Anyway, I love Katie. I love my lashes. After she was done she even took the time to examine her work to make sure I was happy and to make sure she was proud of her work. I was very surprised because usually if someone has another client waiting for them they try to rush the client they're working on to start their next appointment. Nope, Katie took her time to see if any lashes were sticking out funky and she combed and adjusted my lashes accordingly. She did a beautiful job and I am in love with them. They are exactly what I wanted. My boyfriend hates my fake lashes because they poke him when we get close, he can see glue, sometimes they pop off and look weird, etc. He LOVES my lash extensions.
