Went to Lawn Club on a Sunday morning for a fitness event. It is located in the Seaport and it's not too far of a walk from the subway. The venue is very large, and everything with seemed new and barely used, and when you walk in there were several staff members working the coat check (and I imagine during regular business hours they are also welcoming guests and helping with payment). The venue has many different areas with various games like cornhole and giant beer pong, along with a few bars, couches, and multiple spaces for mingling. Our event took place in the huge green area, which had a DJ and lots of TVs. Although the event was during the colder months, part of the space has a view of the water, and I imagine in warmer weather there is outdoor seating or that doors/windows can be opened. It was a great space for the event. Following the workout class, there was a reception with protein shakes and non-alcoholic beer, which was a nice touch. What a cool spot in New York, especially when it's about 14 degrees Fahrenheit outside. The place is large, with private areas for parties, which include a bunch of lawn games. Ranging from miniature golf, Cornhole, trash bin pong, and frisbee. You can have 3 games setup at a time, and they have plenty of assistant's to help switch any of them out. It's pretty chill, no strict rules on how long you can play said game. The drinks were delicious, usually come in a pitcher. Not sure if this place has food as we didn't order any. They have plenty of spots to place your drink down so you don't spill all over the place trying to score the next point. Service was friendly and very attentive. They make it easy to get the night started, only taking a few minutes from the register to the green. I would recommend this place for anyone wanting to try new lawn games, competitive in nature, or for holiday parties. Randomly stopped by last night with my friend because we needed to use the bathroom and were in the mood for a nightcap. The place is so spacious and cute. It gives tennis and country club vibes. I found myself at Lawn Club for an after work team building event with my colleagues. I seldom make my way to the South St Seaport, but know that there are several restaurants, shops, and activities to partake in there. Lawn Club seemed like it would fit in well here, and lawn games sounded like a lot of fun so I was looking forward to checking it out. As the name suggests, Lawn Club is a large, indoor space that offers groups the chance to partake in different games usually played on a...lawn. They have a variety of games including bocce, lawn pong (like beer pong but with garbage cans and a basketball), cornhole, croquet, and shuffleboard. The space is done up really nicely - it's extremely spacious with lounge areas, a bar, tables/seats to socialize, and a lot of lawns to play games. We played two games over the course of an hour: bocce and ladders. Both games were fun - one of the staff members walked us through the rules and stayed close by in case we had questions. Additionally, they had a server who took drink orders while they played; drinking is allowed/encouraged while on the lawns, they just don't allow certain drinks that can badly stain the turf like red wine. After the games, we ordered some food; nothing too out of the ordinary here, lots of finger and bar foods such as chicken tenders, chips and guac, mac and cheese balls, and hummus with pita. Service was great - there are a lot of staff members working everywhere, and they all did a great job making sure we were taken care of. Service for the food and drinks were prompt as well, I was impressed. Overall, I had a really fun experience at Lawn Club - it's a unique indoor experience, the vibes were in check, and was a great way to connect with my colleagues outside the office. Lawn Club is really committed to the bit. Walking into this place feels like you're actually at some waspy golf club with staff members decked out in white polos. We were a few minutes early for our 4 pm reservation, but thankfully the staff let us get the party started early. Ambiance is giving golf club without the boring golf part. You get a dedicated lawn attendant that helps switch out any games you want to play once you're done, plus a waiter to order drinks and food with throughout the experience. We started off with giant beer pong which was incredibly challenging, then moved on to cornhole where we learned we'd been playing this game wrong our whole adult lives, thanks to our trusty lawn game attendant who explained the rules to us. We ordered a pitcher of drinks for around $100, and the four of us each got about 2 1/2 glasses out of (to be fair, there was a lot of ice which melted to help contribute to this but still). Our attendant let us know when we had about 15 minutes left, and we were able to squeeze in a round of CanJam right before we were given the boot. Something to note (at least in my experience) - these guys time your hour of play down to the minute. We paid $100 for an hour on a weekday, but prices are a little higher on weekends. Overall this was pricey, but a fun thing to do if you have friends in town. read more

I want to preface this by saying I and my partner arrived an hour late to our 4 p.m. reservation, and fully expected to be turned away. But we arrived despite this fact, having a sliver of hope that we could be accommodated. And to our surprise, the employees graciously allowed us to be fit in for a 5:30 p.m. slot. Nicole, a woman who checked us in, was super kind and let us know that she would work her magic. And indeed she did. After she told us that she could fit us in for 5:30, she introduced us to a game of "subsoccer," which was incredibly fun and made the 30 minutes fly by. At around 5:30, Kieran, another kind employee brought us over to the lawns and introduced us to all of the games that were available. During our one hour, we played bean bag toss, the frisbee toss game, and a variation of beer pong with trash cans. We had so much fun and the employees were so interactive, constantly cheering me and my partner on. There was another amazing employee who stood by our lawn, but I unfortunately forgot their name. Nonetheless, the experience at the Lawn Club was so amazing and we are truly grateful for the accommodation. I recommend this to any and everyone! read more
