Beautiful hotel in an excellent location close to the subway and MTA buses. Our room on the fifth floor was tidy and comfortable for our two night stay. Little things that could've been improved: - There are three elevators, but one of the elevators' indicator lights doesn't work or make a sound, so there were a few times we almost missed it. - There was some kind of event one night, so sound traveled up to our room lasting until after midnight - We're more than capable of opening doors by ourselves, but for a 5-star hotel with doormen, there were a number of times when we approached/reached for the door and they either just watched us struggle with the heavy door, or reached for it belatedly. Maybe it's because we don't look like what they expect a Beekman guest to look like, but I would've appreciated 5-star service for such an establishment. Pros: - Check-in was easy and the front desk employees were friendly and helpful. My partner asked for a toothbrush and razor because he forgot his at home, and they brought a dental kit and a shaving kit up shortly after. - Their free turn down service was a nice touch. After coming back on our first night, room service tidied up our room and supplied us with fresh water bottles. - Easy to store our bags after checkout and before our evening train back home. Overall I enjoyed our stay in such a convenient location and would definitely return.

Amazing ambiance and amazing espresso martinis in The Bar Room! The decor and overall aesthetic of the bar room reminds me of the Rijksmuseum Library. The service is super quick and friendly.

I honestly have no idea why anyone would give this hotel less than five stars. We stay here at least once a year, and it is consistently amazing. I recently saw a review complaining about an elevator light not working and almost missing it like are you kidding me ? things happen. Instead, people should be talking about the outstanding service, the beautiful rooms, the incredibly comfortable beds, and the fantastic restaurants and food attached to the building. Everything and everyone here is so well organized. This place is truly exceptional, and we will absolutely continue coming back every year. Everyone--and I mean everyone--has been amazing!

Reserved for a drink and nibbles at the bar room. I wish I knew to ask for an atrium seat but we were close enough to enjoy the view. The cocktails and IPA were excellent and the ambience felt historical and cosy. Definitely recommend for a drink, especially with visitors- probably not for dinner though as it is very loud.

Chose this hotel for a staycation for my partner and my anniversary this year. It was dog friendly (35lb and below) so we were able to bring one of our pup which was nice. We love the old school vintage style. The staff were all very friendly and professional. The check in and check out was quick and efficient. Used the AMEX Plat to book so we got a free room upgrade along with $100 towards dinner and $60 towards breakfast. We went to Temple Court for dinner and The Bar Room for breakfast. The room amenities were good. Best of all their shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and body cream were from BOWMAKERS. They smelled SO GOOD. I love it so much. The scent was very fitting for the hotel. The hotel is also super convenient from other attractions. I'm a native New Yorker so I know the area pretty well. If you are a tourist, this is the spot! Joe's Pizza is also a block and a half away. The Oculus is also around 6min away. There are many attractions and great eats around the area.

Probably my favorite category six hyatt property in nyc. Don't expect sweeping skyline views but you'll get pretty much everything else. Both the hard and soft product are superior and it's the attentiveness to detail that makes this place shine. From housekeeping, to the floral arrangement, to the house car, the breakfast is also excellent. Sure the location is not the closest to all the touristy attractions but Fulton street is close and you can pretty much get anywhere you need to be. This had to be one of my favorite adaptive reuse projects.

Love the ambiance! My espresso martini was so delicious. Nice server with quick service, clean establishment, music was just right & not loud or overwhelming. Can't wait to be back!

I had a great experience at The Bar Room at Beekman. First, I want to highlight the charming qualities of the entire property. Upon entering the lobby, you are greeted by a kind and polite doorman who directs you to the front desk. Whether you're staying at the hotel or just joining The Bar Room for drinks at the bar or a snack at the tables, or even dining at Chef Daniel's restaurant, La Gratin, you are in the right place. The ambiance is absolutely stunning. With high ceilings, dim lighting, and sophisticated music, it creates a relaxing atmosphere to unwind after a long day. We were seated by a friendly and professional hostess. Our server was a young lady who seemed to be one of the lead servers, as she managed several tables. Her knowledge of the food and beverage menu was impressive. Since we were looking for a snack after a late lunch, she provided excellent recommendations. The drinks were good; my cocktail was slightly sweeter than usual for a gimlet, but it was still well made. The wine selection is also impressive. For food, we ordered a cheese board, which came with crostini, honey, and nuts. I must admit that the presentation could be improved. Given the variety of cheeses, it would have been better to serve them on a board rather than a regular plate, with the additional components in ramekins for better preservation. We also enjoyed a spicy dip that was excellent. Overall, it was a great snack in a much better ambiance. Best, Srdan Dokovic

This is a cool old hotel in FiDi. Its like stepping back 100 years. Old world ambiance. Dont know if its choreographed or not! Ghosts and spirits should anound but i didnt encounter any! For architectural types and people looking for a unique lodging!

Come for the jazz, stay for the ambiance and food. The Beekman is such a classic and quintessential NYC spot for old world architecture and charm. The Bar Room inside allows reservations for Sunday jazz brunch so that's what I did. The service was a little slow honestly but the food was delicious though expensive (but it's like hotel lobby food so to be expected). I ordered a passion fruit Bellini cocktail and then the ancient grain and eggs which was delicious. The jazz band was also great. And bonus: when you're done you can walk up the stairs or take the elevator and get some photos of the beautiful art deco interior.

Beautiful hotel with old school charm. No wonder we encountered so many couples who come to the Beekman to have their photos taken. I wouldn't say the hotel it is the most ideal if you have small children but service was top notch including from all the doormen. Our room was lovely and was a nice retreat after a long day. We had a comfy king sized bed in a relatively spacious (for NYC standards) room. The bathroom (also spacious) was clean with good pressured and consistently hot showers. Room service was turned quickly in about 15-20 minutes. I absolutely would stay here again.

NYC near Wall Street. We stayed at this beautiful hotel For a work function. I'm Glad. We did as this place is gorgeous The room was big and the bed was comfy. Across the street was construction. I did get an email that they would put place me on the other side. They did not but I was on the 8th floor and the construction didn't bother me. They had coffee in the lobby in the morning I will definitely stay again

I'm very sensitive to salt and am known for undersalting my own cooking, so I rarely think food is under-seasoned. But it genuinely felt like no salt was used in the kitchen here. We came for my birthday, and my partner only selected "birthday" on the reservation because the reservation app specifically asked whether we were celebrating an occasion. We were not requesting a birthday dessert or any special treatment. Then, when we arrived, our server asked if we were celebrating anything, and we simply answered, "Yes." A little later, the server brought out a scoop of ice cream that we never ordered, requested, or even hinted that we wanted. To our surprise, we were then charged $12 for it. At no point did anyone mention that the dessert was an item we would be paying for. Had we known it wasn't complimentary, we never would have indicated it was my birthday on the reservation or answered the server's question. We didn't even eat the ice cream because we hadn't wanted dessert in the first place. Rather than make a scene, we paid the charge, but it left a very negative impression. It's frustrating to be billed for something you never ordered, especially when the only reason your birthday was mentioned at all was because the reservation app and the server asked. A birthday shouldn't result in an unexpected charge for an unsolicited dessert.

It's a sleek but interesting space - the overall building was built as a townhouse in the 1840's but has housed a General Store, family business, and a chorizo factory over the years before housing the first cast of MTV's Real World. The ground floor is very nice, shiny dark wood flooring, interesting furnishings, and a small garden in the back. In the basement there is a tiny speakeasy bar furnished with various period curios as well as restrooms and a small kitchen. Both floors are fairly long and narrow, maybe 2000 sq feet combined? Convenient and chic location and I think the space would work for a variety of purposes.

She was warm during our initial tour, but once the contract was signed, communication became inconsistent and every conversation felt combative and unnecessarily rude. From the beginning, our timeline was a 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM open bar, using the Triplex until 11:00 PM and the Speakeasy from 11:00 PM to 1:00 AM, which we'd rented for an additional $2,500. It was the timeline we developed with 632's own preferred caterer, and everything else, including catering, music, late-night food, and vendor schedules, was built around it. Then, less than a month before the wedding, Karen said she had decided she wasn't okay with eight hours of bar service anymore. Nothing had changed except her mind. We were suddenly forced to either cut cocktails during cocktail hour or shorten our after-party, despite already paying for both. We tried to find a compromise. Every suggestion was shut down. In the end, we spent thousands more booking a separate after-party venue, while also eating the cost of vendors like our DJ and photographer, whose hours had already been scheduled and paid for based on the original timeline. By the end of it all, we were so mentally drained that we didn't even do our rehearsal at the venue because we couldn't deal with another interaction. Then it took seven weeks and multiple follow-up emails just to get our security deposit back. If you value being treated with respect during one of the most important events of your life, look elsewhere. The venue is gorgeous. The owner is not someone you want to deal with.
