I went through Thumbtack to find someone to do my lawn for this season. I received quotes on 4/22. I selected Lawn Love. They scheduled to do my lawn on 4/25. They did not show up. I received message that some other customer had reschuled and that they were having a family emergency, so won't come until 4/30., " I promise". I was not happy. The grass needed mowing. So 6 more days and rain did not help the situation. Thursday, I waited. No call, no text. I sent a message at 4pm. No response. Checked their site before bedtime. They wanted to charge $250+ to do yard because grass was overgrown. Neighbor's called that evening to say that they saw the lawn service in front of my drive way. Left 3 minutes after they got there. No call, no text, no knock on door. My advice? Stay far away. read more

I would do no star, scheduled lawn service for my 84 yr old mother and they cancelled so many times I had to find a new company.

Do not give them an email address you care about. Super shady. I supplied my email address during an initial online estimate request for cleaning up leaves in Baltimore. They sell your email address to someone, because I immediately got DESTROYED with spam. Their quote was outrageous and they required payment up front by credit card, so I didn't go with them. Thank God. But I can tell you with 100% certainly they sold my address to some company that pays for valid email addresses because I've been getting about 500 emails per day for the last couple of days from companies thanking me for signing up with them. Jeremy Yamaguchi is as shady as you will find in the dark gutters of the Internet. Best stay away. At the very least, give them a temporary email address you don't care about, because the follow-on spam you will get will shut down your account. read more

I started the last week of June 2025 and I signed up for the every 2 week. my pro decided to skip my week and I wasn't notified of the decision. it has now been 4 weeks since my grass has been cut. I was also changed pros 5 times not due to me but due to the pros/company. I just finally had a pro come cut my grass today and I received a message I would be charged an extra 47.00 due to the height of my grass. But this is not my fault this is due to the changes in pros and skipping of my yard. instead of this being an easy transition, it has been stressful because I have to keep reaching out to this company with my complaint. We had a biweekly service scheduled with this company every Saturday. 4 weeks ago they had not been able to do our lawn. My roommates and I thought, "2 weeks we can hold out. "We got an email stating that our "old lawn love crew won't be able to service our property any longer, but would still have our service between Thursday, July 27th, and Friday, July 28th." At this point, our lawn is very long since they neglected us for a WHOLE MONTH. When those dates came around, we got a new email from them saying, "Lawn Love could not mow our grass due to long grass that requires an additional clean up" They then quoted us an additional $100 for additional cleanup when the long grass was their fault entirely. We are now putting money together for our own lawnmower. Safe to say, "Lawn Love" is not a good company whatsoever, and is not professional whatsoever when it comes to their customers. Lawn Love quoted me a price for lawn service but stated I had to schedule 3 visits to get the quoted price. I agreed and they came out and my husband walked around the yard with the man and showed him what we needed. He then cut my grass and left without coming back to door. Within the hour I got a note asking for me to rate his service and asking for a tip. I gave him a tip and rated his service with 5 stars. Well, the next day I get a text saying they were going to double my quoted price because of long grass. WHAT?? I immediately protested and cancelled any future service with them. Imagine that you planned a trip and you book an Uber to take you to the airport. Then, your Uber never shows and you miss your flight. Uber calls, apologies profusely, and tells you to rebook your flight tomorrow and we'll be there right one time. So you do. And... your Uber never shows and you miss your flight again. You say, to hell with this - so you rebook your flight and have a friend take you to the airport. Four days later, in the middle of your vacation, you get a call from your Uber saying "I'm here to take you to the airport, I know it's not the day we discussed, nor have I let you know why I missed our appointments or that I was going to just show up randomly one day, but are you ready?" Lawn love rescheduled my service over 6 times in one month, and then tried to charge me a $240 long grass fee when the FINALLY showed up. While this was the worst, this is a company that fails to make its appointments all the time. I finally had enough and decided to go with someone else. I had this service for the past 3 years. Last year my regular guy was no longer available, it went down hill fast they rescheduled my appt 3 times in 1 week and when they did send someone they charged me for long grass service. WTHeck! You all rescheduled and Iam being made to pay for it. The past few months the guy that came stayed on his phone more than he was cutting the grass and he would go up one strip and muss the next strip, edging was put of the question. I asked if he could do edging which my service covered, I get an email saying he's no longer available. Then they send 3 guys at once not one of them though to do the edging. I was charged a long grass fee two weeks straight. I contacted them via email to inquire why this fee was billed, still have not received a response. Iam done with them. read more

My lawn pro canceled on me three times and one time didn't bother to show up. I called and practically begged them to send someone out. Eventually I got someone to mow my lawn. He did an incredibly sloppy job but I was so happy that it finally got mowed that I didn't complain. The company charged me a long grass fee and wouldn't reverse it even though it was their fault that it was so long. Don't bother with this company. They don't care about their customers. read more

If you want the entire story, ready my review on Residential Lawn first. Having gone through misery trying to get them to come out and cut my grass, I finally gave up and signed up for service with Lawn Love. Huge mistake. Huge. Right off the bat, they failed to deliver what I signed up for. They were supposed to come cut my grass on either Wednesday or Thursday. Didn't happen and I received no phone call or any type of message. They have you sign up for their portal so you can send messages to your "crew", see status of jobs, etc. I only found out they WEREN'T coming when I went onto the site and saw a note that the service had been "paused", which I did not do. I finally found a phone number to call and was told, "the person that was scheduled to cut your grass said they came by and it didn't need cut, that it had already been cut". Not true. I believe they either lied or went to the wrong address. Either way, the "customer service" person said they would reschedule them for Friday (today, Sept 2, 2022). I went to the portal and sent 3 messages to my "crew" (KD Lawn Services if you're interested....apparently Lawn Love just has vendors do all the work) and received no response. I looked at the status today and discovered a note that said, "still trying to contact your crew". At 2:00 PM on a Friday. So, I called Lawn Love again and was told the soonest they could have someone out here was tomorrow. After being told the same thing yesterday? I think not, so I canceled the service and had to purchase my own equipment and will do it myself, even though I'm still not sure where I'm going to store it, hence having a service provider in the first place. I am seriously over the lack of service delivery by companies, and I think many businesses continue to use COVID as an excuse for just doing a bad job. That might have worked in 2020, and maybe even in 2021. But it's 2022 and, if you are going to run a business, then you need to run it effectively and with better service delivery. read more

Do not use this company! They are terrible! I have been trying to give them the benefit of the doubt for over a year, and they constantly fail me. They are late -- never showing up on the date they say they're coming, if they even show up at all! I've had pros lie about completing my service and then charge my account for services never rendered. When I told customer service my grass was never cut, they offered me a 'credit' which really wasn't a credit at all, and I had to force them to issue me a refund. On the rare occurrences the pros do show up, the pros often do a bad job. Once my next scheduled service is completed (was supposed to be completed on the 12th, it is now the 17th and it's still not done), I am never using them again. Don't give yourself the headache! read more

Love the service. Prices are fair and my lawn looks great. Bruce does a wonderful job and is very dependable. I can count on him. I had other services who rescheduled my services while my lawn grew tall. I don't have to worry about that with Lawn Love. Highly recommended! read more

Kenny did a drive by massacre on my shrubs. The service was trimming, weeding and debris removal. They offered to mow and do the back as well but our HOA takes care of it. So the job was just trimming, weeding and debris removal and it looks worse than before he came by. read more

I'm done with this company after 4-5 years. They will reschedule your appointments and then charge you a "long grass" fee, and charge an additional $20. In previous years, this would happen once in a while, lately it happens every time. Update: Unfortunately we had to cancel our service after a month. While the techs did a good job on our lawns when they were here, they kept canceling our bookings THE DAY OF due to "inclement weather". I totally understand if it's rainy or even too hot, but each time they canceled it was a gorgeous sunny day! Absolutely ridiculous. We chose the lawn service because it was simple and convenient to upkeep our property. However waiting weeks on end for someone to finally show up is not going to work for us. Even cancelling was difficult because I couldn't get anyone on the phone or to answer my email. We will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

Ruben has done a great job on my lawn 2 times so far. I get a message when he is on his way. He walks the yard and cuts it the way that I like. My yard is fairly big and they are in and out in 30-45 mins. They even trimmed my uncontrollable weeds. read more

They cancelled via email again and rescheduled for today (Sunday). It is 4 pm and someone finally showed up after we waited all day. I was looking for a lawn service to cut my mom's lawn and after seeing the other positive reviews about Lawn Love I decided to contact them, They responded quickly and the price given me was very reasonable. Mom's lawn was very overgrown but Lance, the lawn cutting professional, did a great job and mom was cery satisfied and requested he return for her next scheduled cutting. Contracted Lawn Love for snow removal in March, 2016. The snow pro claimed he showed up since he was supposed to call me when he had arrived and was outside but my phone never rang. He later claimed he had dialed the wrong number and left since he didn't know he needed rock salt. I told him I had a 50 lb. bag of rock salt but he had already left but said he'd be back the next day, and never showed up. When I called the office, they wouldn't pick up either; recording kept referring me to their webpage. I will never hire this company for anything else nor recommend them to any of my relatives, friends or neighbors. read more
