He apologized and said he would fix it. I have called him several times in the last two months and he said he would fix it every time. He hasn't responded since. The fact that he damaged the walls without saying anything and his subsequent lies about fixing the problem show a lack of integrity. On the fair side, he came and fixed our refrigerator quickly and it has been working ever since. Which makes it all the more disappointing that he chose not to say anything about the damage, then lied about coming to fix it.

He arrived in less than his stated ETA -- and of course (smile) he was wearing a face mask -- just as I was. He arrived two days later with the necessary equipment/parts and within less than two hours he took apart both machines and replaced the broken parts and moldy washer gasket and also vacuumed out the dryer since so much lint had accumulated around the burner that it could eventually cause a fire. We received a run down on how the machine works, learned how to thread the machine and how to fill the bobbins. Then we made a denim tote bag. This was super easy and really fast. After lunch break is the 2nd project. If you don't have your fabric, the school can sell you fabric directly inside for $16 a yard. I bought my fabric elsewhere and brought it in. I honestly recommend doing this instead of buying it from them. Because you have to wash your fabric like how you wash your laundry regularly since it shrinks naturally. We picked our patterns and I made a skirt since a skirt is faster than pants. They recommended not to make pockets or else I'll run out of time. But I HAD to add pockets. Women's clothing have little or no pockets regularly. The instructors are extremely helpful and friendly. and they immediately notice if someone is struggling or stuck. This really impressed me. For example, when I was threading the bobbin, the spool of thread was running out. The teacher was immediately behind me with a brand new spool of the same color so I can swap it out when it was finished. That was a great eye for detail! Overall, highly recommend. Just bring in your own 3 yards of cotton fabric, already washed and dried, for the 2nd project!

They have various types of machines thta you cna come in to try out and see what might work for you. The prices of their fabrics are reasonable. I did purchase some shears that I was able to find for less money elsewhere, and I was able to return them in exchange for store credit. This policy did not bother me because I plan to return for more fabric, as our cosplay is quickly becoming an annual tradition, but be advised that you will get store credit in lieu of a full refund. Owners, Clarissa and Nadine, are very knowledgeable and a wealth of tips and suggestions. If you're just starting our, they are perfect to answer any questions you may have. I'm fairly new and went in not know what I could do. I basically just explained my dilemma and was directed to the best fabric for what I wanted to construct. It was the first time I ever made pants, two-toned no less, and they came out amazing. When I visited, I had my kiddo with me and she was gifted with some scrap fabric and an elastic band, and a quick tutorial to construct a simple scrunchie. She was super ecstatic and I hope she takes to sewing as I have. I will definitely be regularly visiting for my cosplay construction needs.

My oven started giving off burning electrical fumes. I was told by owner it was because the oven needed to be "deep cleaned" which I did. When I heat oven to 400 degrees it still has that burning electrical smell. Very disappointed. Also, the ring device that was installed is now flickering and no longer fully lit. Simple snake job, quoted triple what I expected. Call the office and they knock money the price with a 30 minute time limit. The tech says he should finish in 15 minutes. So I let him do the job. Can't gain access to the pipe. Problem not getting fixed and we are at the 45 minute mark. They notice I have a leak in a pipe for the tub. Quote me a price for that. I figured it was total for the job to fix my tub. No, it is in addition to the first charge. At this point I don't trust them and tell them to forget it. I still have to pay the original amount that they quoted to fix my problem which they couldn't do. So now I am out a few hundred dollars for them to come and I have to now call someone else. I reach out to the office. Very rude! Well condescending is a better word. I explain that I did not receive a receipt. Instead of saying "I'm sorry, let me send it again", he says " well we sent it. I keep a record of everything we send and the time so you must have gotten it". Not professional. Very happy with the other company who came and was able to solve my problem. Nice, polite. Worked quickly. Reasonably priced. Way less than this quote! Now my tub is running as it should.

After weeks of warm drinks, rock-less cocktails, and an inability to put ice on sore muscles, I contacted Mike. He got back to me quickly and sent a technician here right away. Unlike a New York public school teacher during covid, the technician got to work. He removed the ice maker assembly and suggested it might need to be replaced. I began mental preparations for taking out a second mortgage, as Viking parts are absurdly expensive. In short order, he determined that the assembly worked fine (pretty impressive for a 20-year old fridge). A piece of food had gotten into it and blocked the water flow. He fixed it, put it back, and I was back in the ice-making business in no time. He could have totally fleeced me, but did not -- restoring my faith in humanity, but not New York's teachers' unions.

Alex, the technician came during that time window and also gave me a call 20 minutes before his arrival to give me a heads up. I love how communicative the entire NY Viking Team is. When he arrived, he made sure to cover his shoes with blue covers and he was able to quickly diagnose that my oven door needed new hinges and gave me the price, which I agreed to before he then promptly fixed everything.
