I've been using this company for all my towing needs for years. Yesterday I had a flat tire. I got upset with the operator because she kept asking to keep repeating what I said. When towing operator showed up. He if I didn't agree on nit to get mad over the phone, they would refuse service and tell other towing companies in the area not to help me. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! DO NOT USE. This company is very unprofessional. They just show up to the wrong place to drop cars without providing notice. They do not follow directions. The staff is very rude and will hang up on you. The drivers are unprofessional as well and do not follow directions. I called in to complain and the woman who answered would not provide her name. Was 8n accident just a couple weeks ago. I am going to fix my car but the bumper is missing! The bumper left with my car so i know it is there. The police officer even loaded it on the tow truck. I had the Buick Rendevous that wrecked just up the road on. Sunday Jan 10th around 8 or 9 at night. 8/23/19: my car won't start. My husband didn't put emergency road side service on our insurance when he switched carriers. (Aaaargh!) I remembered seeing a neighbor having a car towed by Lawrence Towing. Called and hoped for the best (my few contacts with towing services were not happy memories). Pleasant surprise! The tow truck arrived promptly. The driver was pleasant and efficient. The office called when my car was in the process of being dropped off at the repair shop and asked if I would like to have the invoice placed in the glove compartment. I asked if the driver could do that and if the office could also email a copy to me. The car arrived safely, the invoice was emailed quickly and legibly. I was in a car accident on the highway a few weeks ago. It was pretty bad, and while I wasn't seriously injured I was very shaken and out of it. My car was unsafe to drive, so the police officer asked if I needed to have my car towed. I wasn't thinking clearly and didn't think about calling my insurance or roadside assistance, so I told him yes. They called Lawrence Towing to pick up my car, and they towed it to their tow yard where it began accruing charges of $25 a day for storage while I figured things out with my insurance and the police report. By the time I was able to pick up my car, the storage charges were $675. They charged me $20 a mile for towing for a total amount of $120. They charged me $45 for accident cleanup, although there was no debris and nothing to clean up since both cars were pulled to the shoulder and traffic had resumed. Finally, they charged me an $85 administration fee because they filed a mechanics lien against me three days after the accident. At no point in time did they make me aware of their policies, their three day grace period, or the cost of their services. Neither in person or on the phone was I told him how much I would have to pay in order to release my car, and was never given an invoice until I demanded a copy. They only told me that I would need proof of insurance to have my car released, not that I would also have to pay the balance in full. It wasn't until I received the lien letter that I was made aware of what I owed. I had to pay a total of $925 to be able to get my car out of storage and get my things out of it. If I had called roadside assistance or any other tow company, the total charges probably would've been two dollars a mile at best, maybe slightly more. I can't imagine that being towed 6 miles would've cost more than $50. These people will lie to your face and then blame you because you didn't ask the right questions, and tell you they are under no obligation to inform you of anything or to give you any notice before they file a lien. Whether or not this is actually illegal, it's really shady predatory behavior that takes advantage of people who have just been in a major wreck. If you are ever in an accident, be sure to call your insurance company first, your roadside assistance, anyone but these people. You may end up owing them more than what your car is worth. read more

If you have your car towed here for any reason, be sure to ask them exactly how much it costs for every single service they provide. In my experience they will go out of their way to make sure you don't know their fees, then hit you with a huge bill shortly after. If you go in to dispute their outrageous fees, you'll be essentially told you "didn't ask the right questions." Maybe they're great for a tow from A to B, who knows. But if your car has to stored there be sure to ask them about every single thing you can, as if you don't they will quickly become predatory and hit you with everything they can, as apparently it is your job to ask them about every single one of their policies. read more

My daughter broke down 6 hours from home and they reacted quickly to ensure her vehicle was removed quickly from the interstate and provided storage for the vehicle until we could retrieve it. Lawrence towing charged over $200 to tow a car about 6 miles. They never gave any information regarding the charge per day for keeping the car on their lot. Their practices seem predatory in that they prey on people who are in a bad situation and use it for their advantage. I wouldn't use them and I hope that the police department quits referring cars to them. I give them a big zero because it's very unkind to treat people the way they do. read more

I was out running errands one morning when the tyrod broke on my car. The first 2 towing companys I called sent drivers that DID NOT know how to hook my car from where it was parked. On my 3rd attempt to call a tow truck I called Lawrence Towing. Talk about saving the BEST for last!!! Dennis was the driver that showed up very quickly and had my car out and hooked up in 5 minutes!!! .... 5 minutes.. !!! WOW!!! He was very courteous, and VERY knowlodgable of my situation.....
