LAX is one of the major hubs in United States. Looks like they're done with most construction. I've been here so many times I could say It was a pretty decent experience as always watch out for the dodo bird traveling. They act like it is there first time they ever traveled and you know they know better, unfortunately, there will always be dodo birds so get your dodo, bird repellent, spray, and take care of them. There's lots of good food and beverage options. A lot of good people watching behave yourself and don't do silly stuff. read more

There was a lot of vehicular (bus and car) traffic at terminal 2 during my visit to pickup passengers. There's also an overhead pedestrian bridge. PASSENGER PICKUP TIP Security in high-visibility neon reflective jackets on bikes blew their whistles for cars to not park or wait in passenger pickup areas unless passengers are already there waiting - security will fine cars if needed. PARKING Parking in the garage is $9 for the first hour and $7/half hour thereafter. AUTOMATED PEOPLE MOVER There should be an elevated electric train called the automated people mover (APM) linking light rail, terminals, and parking and rental cars for use this year, pending successful testing. Hope to see this soon, as it's very much needed to alleviate traffic on roads. read more

I haven't flown out of terminal 2 in a while as my regular airline is American Airlines. Recently, I had bought a ticket with Delta Airlines which brought me out to this terminal. It was good to see all of the renovations that they had done over the years. It looked like a proper airport terminal for a large metropolitan city such as Los Angeles. read more

LAX terminal 2 is primarily housing delta. Unlike Terminal 7, this terminal has a lot more places to eat. The vibe is much more happening. Given all the restaurants and retail, this terminal can be feel tight. The lighting is a bit dark in this area as well. The security funnels are not the best design. The are is too tight. This security can take a bit so be prepared during peak time and holidays. read more

4/21/2025 - The experience on DELTA AIRBUS (A350-900 Range 8,437 miles) flight from Los Angeles (LAX) to Japan (HND) This flight was on time to start taxing at 10:25 AM PST. The lunch (Western or Japanese food) was first served (wines free of charge); a few hours later, a snack time was served (sparking wine also free). Breakfast was served before landing. During the entire flight, a flight attendant regularly walked through aisle to offer waters to anyone as needed. I feel comfortable for an 11 hour and 9 minutes flight traveling 5,641 miles at the ground speed about 550 mph at the altitude 44,000 most of time (A350-900 has a range of 8,437 miles capacity.) - thanks the DELTA economy class seat that has the largest leg space, which has more room than China Eastern Airlines' I boarded in 2024, American Airlines' in 3/2025 and United Airlines' (Boeing Dreamline 9) I boarded in the past. DELTA leads other airlines by only offering paper cups for the purpose of a cleaner and greener planet as well as offering free WiFi access during an in-flight period if you have a T-Mobile subscription. Soon, DELTA will offer a free in-flight WiFi for all international flights, although it has completely offered to most domestic flights in 4/2025 for free of charges. read more

Just checked and everything went pretty smooth. I have a twit card, so I buy a pass the Big line and going to the TSA pre check. Trust me, if you travel. It's worth having it. The lines are way shorter and it makes it easier. I'm at the bar having a drink before my flight. I have half an hour to kill. Terminal 2 at LAX is used by Virgin Atlantic for their check-in and baggage handling (even though their flights operate out of Tom Bradley, Terminal B). Because Delta checkin isn't there anymore, Virgin Atlantic takes up a lot of the check-in space. The process was easy (and necessary since international flights require a passport check, and unless you want to be called by name once you arrive at the gate, you should checkin before going through security, even if not checking bags). Both terminal 2 and 3 use the same TSA security stations. I've heard that LAX is going to consolidate this mish-mash of terminals, and instead combine Terminal 2 and 3 into just Terminal 2. Curious how Yelp will combine these different entities (and the corresponding tied reviews) when that happens. read more

This terminal houses Delta and Westjet. It's pretty clean and contains the Delta Lounge. Since we were flying on Westjet, the gate area is not as big as the other Terminals. There are restaurants in this area and a water filtration system right outside of the restrooms. I don't like how there were 4 gates bunched up next to each other. When we flew out, all 4 were flying out at the same time and cause a little bit of confusion due to the PA announcements. It was kind of hard to hear with all 4 gate agents making their announcements one right after the other. I wished they would have staggered their boarding times to make it less congested. read more

TSA staff extremely rude. Online it stays that tsa precheck is touchless with facial recognition. Not so!!!!! I went to the monitor to clear check-in & immediately the agent was like , get back in line. It's likely to depart here in terminal 2 if flying with Delta domestically. The terminal is not too far once passing the security check point. It has the standard setup in LAX, few restaurants and coffee shops before reaching to the gates. read more

I flew on Delta Airlines, leaving from LAX Terminal 2 to ATL. Prior to going to Terminal 2, I had to drop off my rental car, then take a shuttle, which dropped me off at the terminal. Since it was (way too) early in the morning, no travelers were able to check in due to all kiosks not operating yet, and no Delta employees available. However, when the kiosks came online and, later, the agents arrived, everybody was moving rather quickly through the check in lines. A quick escalator ride up to the second level brought us to the (insert sarcasm here) cheerful TSA agents who gleefully greeted us as only TSA agents could. Good thing that there were multiple lines, making this phase rather quick. From the security check area, I made a right turn, walked down the wide hallway which had a big mural on one of the wall sections, then made a left turn and kept walking past all of the closed stores and food vendors. I was surprised that none of the food places were open for breakfast. I walked to my gate to see that a lot of seats were available in the waiting area, which was pretty spacious. Knowing that I had about an hour more to wait, I walked around the waiting area looking for an available electrical outlet along the walls. All of them except for one were taken by people who arrived earlier than me. I plugged my charger in, only to find that the holes where the prongs go into were so loose that the charger kept falling out. It was then that I saw at least two nearby charging stations with multiple electrical outlets and various types of other connections, and there were a few stations available and not taken yet. I helped myself and charged three electronic items at the same time, smiling at others who later walked by looking at me with envy because they needed an electrical outlet to use. :-D During my wait time, I decided to take pics of some of the nice light fixtures that were above the waiting areas near me. The seats in the waiting area were well maintained. Overall, even though the terminal looked clean and well lit and with the addition of modern looking light fixtures, the terminal itself looks so outdated. When it was finally time to board, I could easily hear everything said over the PA system, and gladly got into a short line and boarded my plane. Goodbye LAX Terminal 2! read more

Boring. LAX has always been boring. lackluster amenities. TSA quick but for some reason they left the snaking line control barriers up and I became seasick from the swerving in and out of the lines for imaginary people. I wish for some innovative exciting ways to spend my captive dollars when waiting to climb into a metal cigar tube into the air. read more

What is going on with this terminal?!! It looks freshly remodeled however there's more gates than there is space for passengers. If you bring a water bottle to fill after TSA be prepared to wait in line for the one (and only one) water fountain that's motion activated... but not always motion activated. So frustrating, just adds to the chaotic atmosphere of a unreasonably crowded terminal. Look for extra seating up the stairs, and additional bathrooms. read more

I never realized how good the airport in Atlanta is until I flew out of LAX. We used to fly out of LAX frequently when we lived in California. We were told that our Delta flight was departing out of terminal 2. After we checked our bags, they told us that we would have to take a shuttle bus to get to terminal B. I guess the airport has grown so much that they created a terminal B between terminals 2 and 3. You have to take a shuttle bus to get there. It's completely disorganized. If we had not arrived 2+ hours before our flight, we probably would have missed our flight. This is a joke! It reflects negatively upon LAX and Delta. I guess the lesson might be to not fly Delta to Los Angeles. We'll fly out of Orange County next time. read more

LAX isn't perfect... it has a lot of issues that any other busy international airport has... but since I fly out at least once a month between Cali and NYC, none of those issues bother me much. I pack food if I know there's none to be had (I usually take the red eye both ways so it's easier to pack my own food/snacks) and I have Global Entry/TSA pre-check so I don't really have to deal with lines or TSA so I don't have to come hours early and wait hours before my flight... I guess that's the perk of traveling often, you know how to avoid all the annoying issues that come up. Most flights arrive and depart on time and most staff are friendly and helpful. read more

Reconstruction headaches abound at LAX Terminal 2 / Delta. You'll find out-of-service robots, paper thin staffing, general mayhem and a little Human HabiTrail action to top it all off. First of all, when scanning your boarding pass from your phone app...DO NOT FOLLOW THE GRAPHICS on the Delta kiosks which instruct you to put your phone's screen facing down toward the kiosk glass...that is the exact opposite of what needs to happen in order for your QR code to be read. And do not expect there to be any Delta staff on hand to guide you through this incredibly frustrating process. If the robots behave badly, you're on your own. It took me 3 kiosks (2-to-3 people deep each) and nearly 45 minutes to get my bag-tag printed - for Self-Tagging - just so I could enter the Official Delta Bag Drop Off Line (which was another 20+ minutes). That Delta has chosen to organize Check In like this is truly somethin'. What evil villain devised this? Bain??? Was it you, BAIN??!!!!! BAAAAAAAAIN!!! On toppa that, Delta is up to their old tricks again. Telling everyone, via the app and terminal intel boards, that the flight is "On Time!" (it sounds so cheery and buoyant, right?!) only to change it up the very moment of departure...with a cheery damned e-ping that the flight is in fact delayed. This little "trick" has got to be one of the rudest and most annoying things that airlines do. Remember Delta's original groovy 60s-early 70s jingle..."Delta is readyyyyyyy, when you aaaaaaaare..."? The modern day version of this is "Delta is ready, when THEY are." and not a moment sooner. All of this you've just read pertains only to my outbound flight. Everything on the PHX side was efficient, well coordinated and remarkably easy - I believe I even smiled at one point whilst in PHX. The arrival back at LAX highlighted, once again, the stark contrast...this Tale Of Two Airports, as it were. When you return to LAX / Delta Terminals 2 and 3, be prepared to be offloaded onto the tarmac, shuffled onto a packed over-Lysoled bus, shuttled back to a terminal then, thank the sweet lord, at some point, you'll see it...the entrance to the Human HabiTrail that somehow magically leads to Baggage Claim. (It's no longer @ curbside/pickup. It's now in this weird Stranger Thingsesque dungeon. Kinda like a Twin Peaks baggage crypt.) The End read more

I do not understand how we have allowed for rudeness to be normal, no other airport treats their travelers with such disrespect-from the airline ticketing through the entire process. It's a pretty small terminal. There are many small shops for you to shop at and some restaurants for you to choose from if you want something to eat. Though for me, I didn't find anything appetizing to eat. The gates are not thatnfar from one another. The seats are limited, as in not enough for everyone to sit down. Though I don't mind standing. It gets very crowded easily, sometimes barely any room to move around. People just cluttered around each other. It gets worse when people board and get off the plane. But overall, not a bad terminal to be in. read more

I can't even remember the last time I traveled through T2, but I will admit it's been years, if not decades! Completely different compared to T1 - my usual travel terminal. I love that there's a Jersey Mike's, Barney's Beanery and other eateries T1 doesn't have to offer. Some changes are good! It is incredibly crowded, though, much more than I prefer, which is probably partially the reason why it's kinda warm in here. Then again, is it because the terminal is slightly smaller than T1...? They have done some redecorating, It looks like a mall. There were a bunch of cleaning men leaning on broomsand the only one doing actual work is a Mexican woman. It seems like they are all standing around separating trash? Are they looking for something? Are they really undercover security? I want to know. The chairs are not comfortable. There is one place to fill your water bottle. Hundreds of people, that cannot bring water with them, and no place to fill your bottle, and the restaurants aren't accommodating about it. I understand they want to sell you water but this is LA, we are supposed to be progressive. It about using less plastic! Disappointed. Terminal 2 is no Tom Bradley International Terminal. read more
