Terminal 7 at LAX is pretty much what I expect from a major airport terminal, busy, functional, and constantly moving. One thing I really appreciated was how easy it was to move between Terminals 6 and 7 now that they're connected airside. Not having to exit security and start the whole process over again feels like a huge quality of life improvement at LAX. The terminal has the usual mix of airport food and shopping options, along with plenty of seating scattered throughout, which helps when flights inevitably start shifting around. It may not be the flashiest terminal in the world, but it gets the job done and makes navigating that part of LAX much less stressful than it used to be.

I got a super helpful agent who took care of checking in my luggage : Thanks Durk This is terminal 7: the start of my trip

This was the terminal I landed in when I came back from Denver. Terminal 7 and 8 is mostly for United Airline. It was pretty simple for me after I exited the plane. I just walked straight to baggage claim to get my luggage and took the LAX IT bus to the ride share pickup area. If you landed later in the day then the bus to take you to the LAX IT might be full since you're at the last terminal. You can also walk to the LAX IT area too if you don't mind walking.

Terminal 7 at LAX is a perfectly tuned machine. Terminal 7 is very large and super busy. I am unsure whether it belongs solely to United Airlines. Still, employees are very efficient and reliable, allowing guests to move in and out of the airport promptly. Our entire wait time upon arriving at Terminal 7 was 4 minutes. Needless to say, my family and I were impressed and thankful to be able to retrieve our luggage from the conveyor belts promptly and leave the building for our much-anticipated trip back home

Arrived at 12:30 pm for a 1:25 pm domestic flight out of Terminal 7, Gate 7. Using United Airlines' outdoor Bag Drop Shortcut and CLEAR Plus, I made it from the sidewalk to my gate in literally under 10 minutes. One of the smoothest airport experiences I've had. Not bad for my first trip out of LAX!

Good experience. Only issue is that there wasn't really enough seats, at least on Gate 80. The waiting area seemed small compared to other ones. (Am I tripping?) We did go to the United Airlines Club area, so that was definitely nice. They have quite a few food and shopping places on this terminal. No Starbucks (I didn't see one), but they do have a coffee bean, thumbs up for that! Clean terminal though, clean bathrooms as well!

Not a bad terminal. Problem is that it is HUGE! And they don't have the auto walk ways everywhere so it can be quite a hike from the international terminal to your connecting gate. Took me half an hour.

    New shuttle to ground transportation.

Can taxis pick you up at curbside at this terminal?

Not at the moment, lot of construction work going on and you need to catch a bus to a central point where you can get taxis or arrange Uber/lyft to collect you.

Also, quick side note Terminal B is also Terminal 4. This can create confusion at times if your boarding pass says Terminal B and it does not show on the LAX maps online. Why this is, I do not know, but it's a thing. There are also wide disparities in amenities at certain terminals and gates compared to others. For example, if you happen to find yourself in the vary isolated area of gates 45- 48 in Terminal 4, the only places to grab food are a market or a hotdog vendor, so you may want to venture all the way to the main terminal to grab food. Speaking of grabbing food, no matter where you eat at LAX, be prepared to throw down at least $40 per person. This is at the casual eateries, not even the sit down restaurants. The restroom facilities are fine and are in various stages of improvement, but there could be more restrooms spread throughout to alleviate some of the lines. The car rental situation at LAX is also easy to navigate which is another plus and is very fast. Overall, LAX is pretty good considering how busy it is, but high prices at eateries and pockets of construction make it slightly annoying. It doesn't come close to the calm and elevation of say a Changi or Doha, but it works with what it's got. Terminal 4 is about as close to nice as it gets, but for a Global Alpha City like LA, the airport still has a long way to go to bring it to where is should be.

My sisters and I all had flights from LAX as we were all in town for a family reunion. Both of my sisters flew different airlines and their flights departed before mine. My flight was suppose to be @ noon. For whatever reason the gate was changed & when I went there was completely empty. Evidently they changed the departure gate & I was unaware of the change. I kind of freaked & went to the departure gate next door. They told me to check in at the American Airlines booth mid terminal. When I got there there was a whole line of people out the door & a single agent trying to handle the load by herself. Evidently a scheduled flight to Europe had been cancelled & all of these people were trying to catch the next flight available out of LAX. Eventually they put 2 more ticket agents to try & process the load. When I finally got there they told me my flight was already on the tarmac and scheduled me for a 6am flight. So here I am stuck @ LAX all night. I tried to sleep on the floor to no avail. When 6am finally came around and the check in booth opened. I found out my status was the second person on Stand by. Well cry me a river when they started loading only the first person on stand by made it onto the flight so I ended having to take a later flight out of LAX. Besides this incident I really don't care much for LAX & this only reinforced my dislike for this airport. One thing that happened earlier while I was walking through the terminal on my way to my gate I realized I had gone too far. I pulled a quick U turn & bumped into Kayne West & Kim Kardashian. They abruptly turned down a small side corridor& disappeared towards what I assumed was an exit to their private flight. It all happened so fast. One minute there & the next gone. The was Pee Wee's big adventure. As you might guess I'm not a huge fan of LAX

Los Angeles, California…read more.. One of my most favorite places to visit. I used to arrive at LAX (Los Angeles International Airport), but in stopped because Hawaiian Airlines got moved over to Tom Bradley Airport (International Flights) instead of being at Terminal 5. I strongly disliked dragging my luggage from Tom Bradley Airport to Terminal 5 where the rental car shuttles were. I tried Long Beach Airport, but they close early and so do the Rental Car Companies... then I get stuck without a rental car if my flight is delayed. I switched to Ontario International Airport, but this time, I needed a red eye flight which LAX had because of the merger with Alaska Airlines. It's complex, but there are some benefits (such as more flight chouces) to switching back to LAX. I'm super happy that we landed at Terminal 6. Why? 1. The rental car shuttles stop here! 2. There are several restrooms between the gate and Baggage Claim 3. Directional signs are clear and numerous 4. The environment is modern, bright, spacious, and clean. Perhaps I will return to Terminal 6 in the near future!

When I know I'm flying out of this terminal, I don't think about getting to the airport early. Whereas if it was another terminal I absolutely would. Staff generally are annoyed but not as bad as JFK. They ain't winning awards for customer service but they do explain things pretty well. This time around I flew out of gate 52D. If you're in any of the 52 gates other than A or B, know that you need to get to the 52 gate and then you'll have to chat with a gate agent, scan your boarding pass, then take another bus to your gate. Thats how big LAX is. You need to jump on another 5 minute shuttle ride to get to your gate. The 52 gates aren't world class. It's pretty old. Probably just neglected since most of the flights here are regional / short distance flights. There's flights to Seattle, Bay Area, etc from here. Overall verdict - you could certainly do worse. But for how big it is, I think it's a pretty well oiled machine. And that in of itself earns a 3 star from me.
