    Strawberry chocolate latte

Neapolitan latte was delicious!! Loved the vanilla latte base with strawberry foam and marshmallow crunch on top. More of a dessert drink and espresso not as strong.

I really really want to love this place. I've been twice now and it's been a little rough. It's very expensive for what you get and the staff seems grumpy. It also took a half hour to get a turkey sandwich that essentially cost $20. Argh. Not saying I won't be back, but there's definitely some kinks that need to be worked out.

Super cute cafe! I love that it's dog friendly, the space is pretty big and airy. I also love the little store connected to the cafe. I came in for breakfast on a weekend morning, so there was a bit of a line to the door. But that was just more time for me to say hi to all the cute pups. I ordered the pumpkin spice chai and the breakfast burrito. The chai was delicious. Not super sweet, and perfectly spiced. The burrito was flavorful and pretty filling. It took a bit for the food to come out, but when it did, it was piping hot and delicious. Overall, super amazing spot! I went again a few days later for a matcha latte which was also delicious. Bonus points for a super cute logo as well!

Friendly baristas. Professional and casual. Gorgeous specialty drinks. Inviting lounge seating. Privacy pods for quick business meetings. Curated market section. Books, sweets, alcohol, snacks, dog bandanas, etc. Contemporary super clean bathrooms.

This place is cute but very small. It's packed most of the day, but they close at 6pm so that's nice if you have to study. The turmeric latte I had was delicious. The purple sweet potato chips I had were interesting and the ham and cheese croissant I had was ok. They offer actual food items, which I appreciate over the traditional pastry only approach most cafes offer. It feels like a smaller scale foxtrot, they have a very small grocery section to the side. I can't wait to try their rose matcha!

This is my neighborhood coffee spot and I love it. It's always busy in the weekend mornings, so you may not get a seat. I like to come here in the afternoons, as they close a little later than other local coffee shops. Coffee is strong, tasty, and staff is friendly and happy to help. They also have a loyalty program that I've already gotten plenty of rewards from!

A fun place to come grab coffee with friends. They have an area where you can play some Scrabble, and behind there is an area to come sit with your laptop and get some work done. They also have a small market. They are super dog friendly. The service was great, we got our drinks super quick. I really liked the Pistachio Honey Latte. Loved the overall ambiance and experience.

ASHER & JESSE'S CHICAGO COFFEE CRAWL '25 Ranked #14 out of 15 Firstly, I'd like to start off with the pros. The inside of Layla and Ringo's is absolutely adorable. The little grocery store area was so cute and honestly had everything one would need in a jiffy. Super cute concept. Adore how dog friendly and forward they were. Marketing and branding is epic. Now, I wish I could keep saying good things because this is one of the coffee shops I was excited about before I even got on the plane to Chicago. My partner got the Pistachio Honey Latte but it just didn't taste like much of either and tasted extremely watered down. I tried ordering a strawberries and cream matcha but I believe they were out of strawberry syrup so I asked for a suggestion from the cashier instead, to which they said blueberry but I believe they was a miscommunication or confusion because my matcha didn't taste much of anything as well. It may have done something with the way I was ordering where maybe I was being confusing so I will take blame for that. We also ordered a breakfast sandwich which was good! I will give grace where grace is always due-- it did seem like the baristas behind the counter were stressed with the volume of people coming in and they were not adequately staffed. I would love to give Layla and Ringo a second try, maybe on a slower day.

Ok the vibes are so immaculate and this is the cutest branded coffee shop!! They're super dog friendly and the logo is dog inspired too. Lots of tables and couches for you to work at - in fact the cafe is quite quiet because everyone is working on their laptops. Didn't see much chatter happening at all. There's also a little store attached with cute groceries and books. I got the vanilla bean latte decaf with coconut milk. Wanted to be cutesy and try it with coconut milk cuz I normally love coconut milk - but for some reason, it made this drink taste a bit sour. Thank goodness they had a little condiments bar where I could spice up the latte with my usual soy milk - made it much more creamy and then I loved my drink! We also tried the grilled cheese and tomato bisque. Grilled cheese was quite good, but could've had more types of cheeses. Tomato bisque was good, if you prefer more tomato than cream, as this has a really nice blended tomato ratio and tastes very rich. Overall, super cute vibes and the perfect work remote cafe!

Overall I thought the food and drinks I tried were ok, but I loved the ambiance, decor and the fact that it was dog friendly. Similar to foxtrot, they have a large section of the store dedicated to selling speciality foods, fun trinkets and dog treats and the other side is seating. I loved looking at all the fun foods and admiring all the small details in the cafe. The staff were also very friendly too. I got the honey bee latte which tasted mostly like bee pollen, but wish I could taste the espresso a bit more. My friends and I shared a breakfast Sammy, avocado toast and a chicken Caesar wrap. The best bite in my opinion was the avocado toast, which had burrata, bacon and tomatoes. The breakfast sandwich was a bit small but still tasted ok. Nothing special about the Caesar salad wrap. Despite my average rating, I'd still come back with friends since it's a really cute coffee shop to chill at.

    Garden matcha Avocado toast

Really cute spot! Plenty of work space even has little conference booths! I also love how dog friendly it is! I worked there and my pup got to be there too! All of the workers were super great, and everything came out in good time! I got the garden matcha to drink! This was ok, not a ton of matcha flavor. I got the avocado toast to eat. It had the brown hard bits of avocado in it, it weirded me out! The burrata on it was great and the sourdough was very good! Overall vibes are amazing, food and drink is pretty average.

Nice lunch at Layla and Ringo's! Got here around noon on a Sunday and it was packed! Waited in line for around 15 minutes and no open tables. Fun menu of speciality drinks. Nice case of pastries and yogurt parfaits. Cute shopping section with some groceries and fun items. Turkey club on sourdough was really good! Don't like that they don't have prices on their menu, turkey club ended up being $19.

Came here for happy hour, small bites and a few drinks. Have been waiting for this place to open and it's a fantastic space! Great vibes and quick service. We had some complimentary bread and a few apps and drinks. The buffalo cauliflower was good, but be careful there was a massive surcharge on getting cauliflower vs. chicken that wasn't listed anywhere. $4 up charge on a $9 app for 6 pieces is a bit steep but it tasted good. Excited to try dinner sometime.

We started with a mocha, a solid, well-balanced drink that wasn't overly sweet and was just perfect. We didn't plan on eating here, but the menu was way too tempting. We ordered the cinnamon roll, and wow. This was insanely good. Most cinnamon rolls in the U.S. feel like sugar-heavy, cinnamon-flavored buns, but this one was light, flavorful, and beautifully made. The irimshik on top really elevated it, subtle, warm, and just sweet enough. Easy 10/10. Next was the cottage cheese pancake, which was also very good. It had a generous amount of cottage cheese stuffed inside, and paired with the sweet irimshik dip, the dish came together really well. 9/10. We then tried the qattama. It was good. flaky, crispy, and reminded me of a paratha. It came with a sour irimshik dip. While each component was good, I felt the qattama would shine more with a gravy-based dish. 7/10. Finally, we ordered the Nan Salma pasta. It's a tarry-based white sauce pasta with a unique flavor profile, and it was genuinely yum. Definitely something different and worth trying. Highly recommend it. 8/10. You have space to sit down and work as well. Service was good too. Some of the dishes might take 7-10mins to get prepared. It's not like your daily coffee shop who have stuff ready to go Overall, a great spot with unique food and a welcoming vibe. Definitely coming back. 9/10

The kind of place where you slow down without trying. The staff was genuinely nice too. Asked how my day was and even recommended couple of pastries. I ordered a hot chocolate with an almond blueberry financier. The hot chocolate was honestly perfect. Rich but not heavy. You get that dark chocolate hit first, then it smooths out. Creamy. Warm in the right way. The financier was great. Nutty from the almonds, little bursts of blueberry, soft but not mushy. I dipped it into the hot chocolate (had to), and yeah... even better. No regrets there. It's a small place, but if you get there early, you might grab a seat with a really nice city view. Worth it. I'll definitely be back. Especially now that I know there's a solid hot chocolate spot right nearby.
