4/5 -- Gov's Take: Solid Catch, Worth the Stop…read more Rolled into Albertson Fine Seafood, tucked into the shopping center in Albertson, on a mission -- making dinner and catering a barbecue, and I needed an assortment of seafood that wouldn't let me down. Mission accomplished. First thing you notice walking in: the selection. They have everything you want. Whether you're firing up the grill, running a raw bar, or just feeding the family, they've got the inventory to back it up. That alone separates them from your average supermarket fish counter. I went heavy on the king crab -- picked up three clusters at $45 each. They came frozen in a box, which is standard for king crab at that grade, and the $45 per cluster price point is right in line with what you'd pay anywhere else doing it the right way. No gouging, no surprises. Fair market, honest product. To round out the spread, I grabbed shrimp and squid (calamari is on the menu -- can't have a barbecue without it). Both looked clean, fresh, and properly handled. Service was smooth, product moved, and I walked out confident the cooler in my trunk was loaded with something my guests would actually remember. Final ruling from the Gov: Selection, pricing, and quality all delivered.
