Great chocolate! It's a small, but very cute chocolate shop with a ton of great gift baskets and items for special occasions. Love that they make their own stuff here. It's really cool to see them at work in the back crafting the the stuff you are about to buy and eat. I'll eat anything chocolate so I might be a bit biased but I loved the chocolate from here. The 72% dark chocolate bar was my absolute favorite. For me, the darker the better. I want the real taste of chocolate. I don't want it diluted by other ingredients. (Sorry if I'm coming across like a chocolate snob). I didn't buy many items from here but if that one chocolate bar (made in-house) was any indication of how the rest of their stuff tastes, then this place is a gold mine.

So obsessed with their twist chocolate covered pretzels. Idk what it is with my cravings lately but I've been set on finding the best chocolate covered pretzel twists. I ordered some yesterday, 2 bags and again today 2 bags. I only like milk chocolate and they accommodate that. Its soooooooo goood. I might order other products as soon as my cravings die down hahaha. Packing is so cute tooo!

Little cute chocolate store, but I think it's a bit over priced. Beautiful displays chocolate trays and boxes with all kind of variety of kosher and non kosher. The lady wasn't so engaging with customer and at that time I was being the only customer at the store. I ended up bought a tray of nuts and chocolate truffle for a gift, I hope they are good.

*Last week, I was having lunch with a friend in Great Neck. As, I drove down Middle Neck road, I spotted two chocolate shoppes. Because, it is so close to Easter, I decided to stop in and get some chocolate bunnies and other treats. I really enjoy trying out different chocolate shoppes, for their truffles, specialty items, and plain chocolate. I quickly went onto Yelp, to see if I can get more info on Kron and Lazar's. In this case, yelp was not too helpful. There was only 5 reviews for both chocolate shoppes combined. Lazar's looked a lil busier, but I choose to go to Kron. I thought it would be more of what I was looking for. It a decent sized store. We started with the Easter items, which was displayed on one side of the store. Within 30 seconds of walking in, we were approached by someone, I believed to be an owner. I think she was trying to be helpful, but I felt like I needed some breathing room. I wanted a few minutes to browse around and just talk with my friend about the items. My friend spotted a ceramic bunny dish, that he wanted to buy as a gift for someone. The dish was $45., I thought it was over priced, but he wanted to buy it. The sales woman, suggested to fill the dish with chocolate for an additional $37.00 The sales woman did this sort of thing (up selling) alot . I noticed a cute tray, and I pointed it out to my friend. The sales person, over heard me and was pushing me to buy one of the trays. I thought it was cute, but I have no need for it. As far as chocolate bunnies go, they had a decent selection. They offered milk, dark and white in several shapes and sizes. I bought 4 solid milk bunnies. I am not sure if they have hollow chocolate bunnies. I know, it's a few days to Easter, but I actually cracked open one of the bunnies today. I was not wowed by the chocolate. Sometimes, when I eat chocolate,I get a bit out of control and eat too much, because it is soo tasty. But, with this chocolate, I was able to put it down. It wasn't bad, but if I stop eating chocolate after only a few bites, something is off. I actually prefer the milk chocolate bars I had in my house, from Trader Joe's. But, I also tried the chocolate graham cracker at Krons, and that was better than the bunny. Aside from their Easter selection, I was disappointed by their selection. They did have pre packaged items of chocolate raisins, espresso beans, gummy bears, pretzels, and malt balls. Behind, the counter they had chocolate graham crackers, apricots and marsh mellows. I was looking for truffles and a la carte pieces. It is possible, that they have a wider chocolate selection, than what they display. I asked the sales person, about one of the pieces I saw in a gift basket. It was a small chocolate square, with orange lines. The sales person said, it was Dulce Du leche. They said, they can customize any order with anything. Anyway, if they do have more of a selection in the back, I wish they would bring it out front. I would have bought more... They do have cute non food items. I noticed another reviewer said, they dip strawberries for you in the shoppe. But, I did not see any sign of that.

When you walk past a chocolate shop, and the insane aroma of chocolate lures you in, you know you're in store for some wonderful stuff. As soon as we walked by and PAST the shop, my daughter and I looked at each other, stopped, reversed our field, and walked back toward Kron Chocolatier. Yep, the aroma was THAT alluring. We then walked in, and I saw beautifully displayed gift baskets, rich chocolates staring at me, calling my name. Everything was displayed just so, not overly crowded, just right, so I could see everything they offered without being overwhelmed, yet with wanting to try one of everything. Big, huge slabs of dried fruits dipped in luxurious dark or milk chocolate, graham crackers covered in milk chocolate, truffles. Pretzels drenched in chocolate, then covered with nuts or ground up oreos or toffee bits........ or just plain chocolate. They even have home décor type gift items. We all know K Chocolatier from Malibu and Beverly Hills, owned by Diane Kron. So I walked into Kron Chocolatier, thinking it was the same store. Not so, as the Great Neck store owner informed me. Similar in name, not similar in product, and definitely not owned by the same person/people. Either way, no matter...... I was quickly corrected....... .......But I sure didn't make any mistake about purchasing some of THIS Kron Chocolatier's wonderful chocolates. Naturally, I had to bring some chocolate dipped pretzels home to hubby and other daughter..... plus I bought some of their amazing truffles..... truly melt in your mouth dark chocolate truffles. Divine. I also bought a 1/2 pound of a variety of chocolates.......chocolate dipped fruit, graham crackers, caramel-filled chocolate, chocolates with nuts. If you find yourself in or around GREAT Neck, make your way over to this GREAT chocolate shop, so you can buy some GREAT chocolates and get a whiff of the GREAT chocolate aroma in a store that makes their chocolates on the premises. They are a bit pricey, but worth every bite !

Budapest Truffles arrived completely melted! Owner recommended I refreeze and eat.

Found this cute Filipino dessert shop on social media and it did not disappoint. Like their page…read moredescribes, their menu changes constantly so they didn't have some of the items I had seen online (was hoping for the pandesal bread pudding and the ube crinkle cookie), but there were so many other mouthwatering things. The ube basque cheesecake was smooth and rich, but not as potent of an ube flavor as I would've expected. IMO the standout was the passionfruit donut. It reminded me so much of a malasada. The dough was perfectly light and airy and paired perfectly with the tart passionfruit filling. I also picked up their pandesal (that was still warm!) which was baked to perfection and was just slightly sweet. I saw online that the head baker previously did pastry and Michelin restaurants and it really showed. All the bakes were so well done and the flavors weren't overly sweet. I can't wait to go back to try more!

The manila fog is very unique--with hojicha, earl gray, and a floral foam. It's a little on the sweeter side, and I wish I noted that upon ordering, but overall I liked the taste of it! If you like sweet black tea, that'd be the perfect pick for anyone. The calamansi juice was tart and refreshing. In the matcha, if you're looking for a calamansi-forward drink, just know that it tastes more like calamansi than matcha. But if you don't like how green/grassy matcha tends to taste but enjoy the caffeine from it, then order the calamansi matcha! The ube basque cheesecake is everything you want in it. It's dense and full of flavor. The blueberry fig bread pudding was tasty and fluffy, but I wish they had more of the fruit incorporated throughout it. If you love Filipino sweets or want to try something new, give this place a try!

It took us a while to decide on what to buy partly because we were buying also for our friends. Naturally, we were asked relatedly by at least the different staff if we needed help or if we were ready to order. Each time, they seemed genuinely want to help, and made us feel welcome with their smiles and gentle demeanor. For myself, the pistachio muffin was totally satisfying and I confirm they did not slump on the nuts. The crunchy eclair was a BIG hit with our friends, and the rest is kind of a blur but I know we enjoyed everything we tried. We'd go back without hesitation. I hope they keep up the great work.
