This falafel was off the hook!!! By far the best falafel I have ever tasted.

The Falafel was AMAZING! Not much to say besides the fact that the people who gave me food were Amazing! The place was Amazing! And it was just a feel good kinda day! Thank you guys for giving me this amazing Falafel!! Hope to see you guys again soon!

Being middle eastern myself and have had numerous shawarma, gyro and more food this place really disappointed me. I got the chicken shawarma plate, the rice was on the dry side, they the garlic dip was lacking flavor, the hummus need more tahini or something to give it a good flavor, the chicken was also flavorless. The service was good and food was ready pretty fast. The place is a little old with indoor and outdoor sitting. I had seen this on IG and thought it would live up to its hype but sadly it did not.

Got to go food but indoor seating was classic with art and pics from the Middle East. Ordering was easy as we did so online and service was quick. Falafel was not dried out like other places that are Mediterranean. It's our go to spot and chicken is the next thing I want to try there. We ordered 5 and all 5 were great!

Ate here a handful of times and it's always been good. I feel like they've updated their menu recently and the food has gotten even better! I usually get the chicken shawarma but decided to give the Lazeez 2 meat special a try and got it with half chicken half falafel. That was bomb and definitely my new goto along with a side of tabouleh. Owners are always nice. Great little spot.

My husband and I stopped by here for some light snacks on our way to our hotel for a quick weekend trip. We had dinner reservations elsewhere so we just grabbed some sides, so for fairness, I don't know how good any of their entrees or meats are. The location is easy to miss if you're not paying attention, tucked into a small business strip on a very busy road. It definitely fits the bill for cafe dining, basic table and chairs, so I wouldn't recommend for a date or anything like that. The food was very hot and fresh though. The falafel was very good, fresh, nice crispy exterior, and the sauces were delicious. The fries were fries. They were definitely made in fresh oil, they were hot and crisp, well seasoned, can't complain. The fried okra was a bit bland, it was cooked good, hot, fresh, crispy, just not much flavor. I had to add quit a bit of salt and dip it in the sauce to really get the flavor to come out. The hummus was the star of the show, beautiful creamy texture, perfect flavor, so smooth, and it was great with the cucumber chips but some of the cucumber looked old and should not have made it to the plate. Overall it was very clean, nothing over the top with the service, nothing horrible. I would be willing to stop by again next time I'm in Bee Cave because I would like to try their meats. I came here based on others reviews and I don't regret it, it was a good basic experience.

    Arabic Chicken Shawarma ($12)

Lunch at Lazeez after visiting Lake Travis. It was nearish to the Oasis that we thought it'd be worth stopping by. This place is really average, not bad but also not that great. Paid $12 for the gyro plate and $12 for the Arabic chicken shawarma plate. The gyro plate was better than the shawarma plate. The shawarma was drowned in garlic paste, and there were barely any pieces of chicken. Also the vegetables that came with it were really bitter and unappetizing. The gyro plate was really average, I wouldn't find myself craving it from here but it's a solid meat and rice combo. The hummus that came with it was actually yummy, but their pita bread was thin and dry. I think $12 for either of these plates is a lot especially given the amount of food but it's better than other things in the area. Lentil soup ($4) was good. Will mention they have a variety of vegan options! They have excellent service and the workers are patient while you order.

Ordered takeout from here, and it was pretty good! Lots of flavor but honestly nothing too special, your typical Mediterranean restaurant. Would love to try it again but it's kind of far from me

Great food! The owners are very friendly and welcoming! Great outdoor seating area as well. I would recommend the gyro wrap or kabobs.

Not only are they incredibly kind, but also very knowledgeable about the vegan options, and even keep all vegan prep separate from animal products. For the first time ever, I was able to try real tahdig, so thoroughly crispy that you can hear it crunch between the teeth of your dining companion across the table. Khoresh bademjan is typically made with lamb, but in this case, tender lentils carry the eggplant with enough meatiness that you'd never think the dish had ever been prepared differently. If you only get one thing, though, make it the ash reshteh. Don't be fooled by the size of the bowl; this is one hearty entree, absolutely packed with chickpeas, lentils, kidney beans, soft wheat noodles, and more herbs and spices than I could identify on a single spoon. I'm already plotting how I can recreate this at home, ASAP. There's even a vegan dessert! Sweet and sticky halva, which is rich enough to split four or five ways at least, if you weren't already stuffed from the main meal. It's a double-edged sword that it was so quiet on a Saturday night. No fight for a table or wait for service, but it worries me that there's almost no buzz for this family-owned business. Parking is plentiful right in front of the restaurant. We came by on a Saturday around 1 PM, worried it might be packed, but it was actually pretty quiet. You can sit anywhere you like, grab a plate, and pay when you're done. The space is large and open, with three full rows of food and drinks plus a dedicated station for fruit and desserts. Everything was fresh, not overly salty, and there were plenty of options. My favorites were the hummus with eggplant (so flavorful with great texture), the salad and cucumber salad (fresh and refreshing), the dolma (perfectly done), gyro (tender and tasty), baked cauliflower (so good), fried chicken (juicy, crispy, and not salty), falafel (extra crunchy), and the lentil soup (simple but delicious). And don't miss their coffee at the checkout--it has a hint of warm spice and is the perfect finish after a meal. Surprisingly, I ended up loving the vegetable dishes even more than the meats. Overall, yes, $26 per person is on the higher side (what doesn't cost these days, right?!), but it's a great spot to try a variety of Mediterranean dishes that are fresh, simply seasoned, and let the ingredients shine--perfect whether you're new to the cuisine or just want a bit of everything.

Thanksgiving came around and we had zero desire to cook or clean. Our "plan" (and I use that word…read moreloosely) was Golden Corral. We figured if we got there early, we'd beat the crowd. Cute of us, honestly. We pulled up and that parking lot looked like Beyoncé was performing. Cars everywhere: on the grass, on the curbs, people creating their own imaginary parking spaces. People circling like it was Black Friday. Absolutely not. We left with no backup plan and even less hope. Pulled up Yelp and I remembered that Dimassi's buffet had been on my radar for months, but was it open? Called them up and CHA-CHING!!! Money! They were open, guys. That phone call felt like hitting the lottery. Thanksgiving was saved. We arrived and Dimassi's was calm, clean, and the buffet bar was fully stocked with hot food fresh out of the kitchen. They had your Mediterranean favorites: dips, salads, gyro meat, dolma, chicken kabobs, saffron rice, the good garlicky toum, warm potatoes, fresh pita, everything. They even prepared a turkey for patrons who wanted some. Wow. They understood the assignment. Now a couple things could be tweaked. I like my baba ganoush served warm...and maybe they could have had some lamb options? But, honestly? For a buffet on Thanksgiving at $23 a person ($9 for the 3 yr old with us), they delivered HARD. Dimassi's didn't just feed us...they rescued us from the Golden Corral Hunger Games. Thank you for being open. Thank you for coming through in the clutch. You saved Thanksgiving.
