I thought the lamb over rice was really good. The meat was tender and moist. I actually enjoyed Halal Taza more than the Persian food truck in the same parking lot. I can only speak to the lamb wrap (gyro) featuring about 3/4 lb of freshly prepared ground lamb, lettuce, cucumbers, tomato, red onion, pickles, tzatziki and tahini sauces on a warm pita bread. The serving was enormous. Enough for four meals for me. One lamb wrap and a Dr. Pepper = $11. I ate about a fourth of it and brought the rest home. The meat was lean, the tzatziki fresh and tangy, the pita warm and flavorful. The food truck is one of several lined up at a gas station a stone's throw away from the Q2 stadium. Food was great, we tried the lamb over rice as well as the chicken over rice. The chicken in my opinion was a lot better than the lamb. Nonetheless both were good. The sauce was amazing, better than where we usually go to get Halal, but the rice was not as good where we usually go. Portions were great, we both had leftovers to eat. Texas sized portions of delicious Mediterranean food! Food was cooked up fresh and everything tasted wonderful. We got two combos and a falafel and chicken gyro. Falafal are crispy and delicious. The meats are smaller pieces (not shaved slices). Good value. Parking was in the gas station area and there were many other food trucks in the parking lot. It's presented very wet looking, as they squeeze tzatziki and tahini all over the chicken shawarma and perfectly chopped lamb gyro! It looks displeasing with the plastic squishing it all in, but you'll soon find out it's because this plate is STUFFED TO THE BRIM! Hell, they used shredded lettuce as a base to the cucumbers, onions and tomatoes, to the side. And even the shredded lettuce tasted good! Not a wilt in sight! Halal Taza is perfect for comfort Mediterranean food. Big portions and tasty food for a good price (~$12-$13). A great staple for anyone looking for Halal food, plus they're open really late. There's some outdoor seating, but it can be somewhat limited. Taste-wise I'd say they beat other Halal places like Halal Hub and maybe even Halal Bros. Definitely give them a try! read more

The hot sauce is a bit different from other places in that it has pepper flakes and is more tangy but I thought it was really tasty. Delicious! I've eaten here a few times and it's always so tasty. The meat has a lil extra something to it. Usually get the gyro but plates are also great. Gyro in pic is way bigger and way more tasty than it looks. Great value. I ate the whole thing and I'm uncomfortably full, but I had to finish it.
