Mike helped us debug a minor problem with a Brother's Laser printer. He was very knowledgeable and easy to work with.

Mike took my call and told me to bring it in to his shop immediately. My old HP Laserject MPF M281 was extremely light in text print and very hard to read. He fixed it up the next day with printing like new. Nice bold dark print. Mike and his colleague were very open and honest about fixing a old printer but luckily the cost of repair was reasonable. I found out that the old HP printers are better and worth fixing. I will go to Lazerjet Tech for any future print repairs and advice. I highly recommend them to anyone with printer problems. Can't recommend this business highly enough. Mike Kawana is not only knowledgeable and skilled but he is a genuinely kind and helpful person. I was completely flummoxed with my printer and Mike took the time to understand the problem, explore it, then explain the problem and solution to me and demonstrate how to change cartridges and clean the head (I'm an old lady and slow to learn). They are extremely helpful and kind experts. Michael set up a large, complicated network of computers at my house. He was patient with me and clearly communicated his strategy, reasoning, and its required time/cost. I have no idea how good or bad these guys are at actually fixing printer problems since i never made it past a phone call. whoever answered the phone the day I called was either having a shitty day or maybe just doesn't care whether they get your business or not. Telling him about our Lexmark industrial printer & what was happening, he actually said he didn't think it could be fixed. (It was running super slow, ink was leaking on pages, & our computers were no longer connecting to it). I told him i had someone fix the speed issue before, they did it over the phone, but that I couldn't remember who it was i had called or remember what they had me do to increase speed - it worked, but was only a temp fix & we were now having other problems. He actually -no kidding - told me " maybe u should call them then". So i said " ok I will then." & hung up. Yikes! Don't you want our business? Clearly they don't really feel like leaving the warmth of their office to have to go & fix anything. When i said we were in Healdsburg, the reaction I got from this guy was like it was in China & he sighed like it was a pain in the ass to drive that far - and they're in Sebastopol for cryin out loud! Back roads takes 20 min from downtown sebastopol. and i should know - i drive that way home. So call these guys if you're down the street, want to feel frustrated & ignorant of your printer & i promise u - you wont be disappointed OR call Common Sense Business Solutions (see my 5-star review)if you'd rather just have your printer fixed without the added bonus of bad attitude. read more

Michael did a great job repairing my HP plotter! He is very personable and was always on time. Also he didn't try and sell me anything that I didn't need which I appreciate a lot. I would highly recommend him to anyone having printer/plotter issues. read more
