We werent hungry enough for their famous enormous Rapture sandwich, a super rich flavorful brisket cheesesteak creation. We went for Super delicious super crispy-crunchy large parmesan wings! The scrumptious juicy tender wings were perfect. We ate them seated on folding chairs at a shaded table under a huge colorful mural. Smiled all the way home. The weather wasn't the best and we had some time to kill, so we took the hour-and-a-half drive to St. Pete--and let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint. As soon as we stepped out of the car, the music alone set the tone for good vibes and a welcoming atmosphere. As we approached, there were a few people in line ahead of us, so we took our time looking over the menu. While we were deciding, you could hear the ding of DoorDash orders going off like crazy (definitely a good sign). When it was our turn to order, we were greeted by the owner and mastermind behind it all, Ray. Ray was very personable and outgoing, answering any questions we had and offering great suggestions. He was truly a jack of all trades and handled everything like a rockstar. While we waited, we sat at one of the wooden tables and chatted with other customers, who had nothing but great things to say. There was also a nice selection of drinks, ranging from soda and water to beer and even shots of tequila. To start, we ordered the Loaded Pulled Pork Fries. The pork was extremely tender and juicy, having been perfectly smoked for nine hours. It was served over a plethora of fries and topped with BBQ sauce and their house-made sauce. You definitely couldn't stop at just one bite--but we had to save room for more. First on our list was the famous Rapture Sandwich, which earned a solid five stars across the board. Made with shaved ribeye steak, bacon, pepper jack cheese, and Ubuntu's special house-made sauce on a pretzel bun, the flavors complemented one another perfectly. Unanimously, this was one of the best steak sandwiches we've ever had. Next up were the Garlic Parmesan Chicken Tenders, and OH MY--let me tell you! These tenders were chef's kiss. They were cooked to the perfect crispness, and the sauce was out of this world. I have never tasted garlic parm like this before. Honestly, this was one of my personal favorites. After that, we tried the Take a Bao sandwiches. You can choose between pork or dynamite chicken, and we went with the chicken. The bao buns were like biting into a cloud--they were unbelievably soft. The chicken was marinated flawlessly and topped with cilantro and black sesame seeds. Definitely a go-to item. Ubuntu also offers a variety of vegan options. The Impossible Empanadas were superb--you would never guess they were vegan. They were cooked to a golden brown, crispy, and full of flavor. If I didn't live in another state, I would have ordered one of everything on the menu to take home for everyone to try. I highly recommend making a stop at Ubuntu--trust me, you'll be glad you did. This place is truly off the charts! To the staff at Ubuntu, I wish you continued success and encourage you to keep striving for excellence.

I had it…read moreon my list to visit for a couple of years now, looking forward to tasting some good home southern BBQ. I first checked their Google page and menu to be sure what I wanted to get. But when I got there the prices were drastically higher. I had planned on the brisket plate but once there I was told it was $31 and there was no way I was paying that for BBQ for one person. Google had it listed for $18. Next was the ribs but that was $17 for 6 bones no sides. So I decided to go with a classic pulled pork sandwich which came with one side. Their recommendation was Mac n cheese so I went with that. Usually I love Baked Beans but with it being my first time I wanted to taste what people rave about. The man who took my order, not sure if he was the owner or not was very nice and accommodating. And I did mention the google discrepancy. Now here is where the one star comes in and this pains me because I hate giving 1star reviews especially in this case but the pulled pork had no flavor, the bbq sauce wasn't good, the Mac n cheese also not great. All was extremely subpar from a place that should specialize in BBQ then throw in the high prices there was nothing worth giving a better rating. Even with the Mac n cheese you could throw some small bits of brisket or ribs in it to give it that Smokey bbq flavor similar to how Sonny's has bits of meat in their baked beans. Truthfully I have never had BBQ that I didn't like until today. Usually there is good BBQ and great BBQ but sadly I've had better BBQ at Thanksgiving with Joe and his smoker. I was the only one there at 7pm on a Saturday but it's also not a restaurant so that could be why. I am confused about the good reviews and wonder if it's just locals hyping it up out of support. But for me, I've been writing fair, honest reviews for 15 years so if I write one it's going to be real. If this review helps you, great And if you are somebody who loves Reels BBQ then that's amazing and hope you continue to support this small business and they stay successful. Sadly for me it was a one and done

You seemingly seat yourself so we chose a table underneath the expansive oak in the back. Great seat but keep in mind that when you're in nature, some small bugs might fall off the branches lol! The service was great although we had a couple mixups with our ordering. We ordered a cheeseless pizza for my allergic husband but it arrived with vegan cheese (made with nuts, which he's also allergic to). They ended up attempting to correct the issue and were very apologetic but again the incorrect pizza came out only minus cheese so he was able to ultimately eat it. We didn't have the heart to tell our server it was wrong again and we were very tired since it was getting late. I ordered the fig pizza which was delicious albeit a little dry. I would ask for a dipping sauce next time perhaps. I think we will be back but it will take me convincing my husband it's a safe choice. We were also told that they were missing a lot of staff members due to their truck being over at The Sound.

It's take-out only, so if you are looking for dine in Pizza, this place isn't your jam. But Chris is simply a fantastic pizza artisan. As others have stated, the thick crust is the bomb. I am normally not a thick fan as I lived in NYC for a long time, but this "thickness" is perfection. Not a big block of dough like Chicago style. We also like the thin crust, but the thick is really the speciality of Pucks. Ingredients are high quality, and the pizza is cooked to perfection. Call ahead and your pie will be ready in 35-40 minutes. Pricing is also really low compared to the amount of food! A large pie which is huge is around $30 and could easily feed 4 to 5 very hungry people. As others also stated, don't let the food truck steer you away. Chris is running a great space to make amazing pies.

They still keep the colorful decor they used to have in the old place, a little kitschy but charming nonetheless. The menu has really expanded. Needless to say, $1 taco days are long gone. They do still have $2 tacos, on Tuesday and take out only. (Curiously, we felt that if they had allowed dine in, we would have ordered drinks and maybe some appetizers and other stuff and they would have made more money off us.). Otherwise, the tacos are like $5 each, and they do have a lot of unusual varieties if you want to try something beyond the regular chicken, al pastor and chorizo. Another thing I missed is they used to have a condiment bar with like eight different types of salsa. Now they serve the varieties to you along with some tortilla strips, so you can get a taste of six varieties, and ask them for more of your favorites. Still a great place for authentic Mexican food.
