My partner and I went to try out Dairy Rich's burgers after hearing that they have the best burgers. We ordered the "not big mac" and "patty melt." The wait was about 30 minutes because there was a lot of people around dinner time. The restaurant is open and all outdoors, with cool art on the sides. There are plenty of outdoor picnic tables or chairs at the counter for people to wait or to sit and eat. When we finally got our meal, I would say that the mac was good, it was not exceptional as people hype it up to be but it is a solid burger. The patty melt on the other hand, was very greasy. Absolutely fantastic! This place has exceeded my expectations in a way I wasn't expecting. Despite its rather humble appearance, it's a very outdoorsy and clean environment. The service is good, but the food is surprisingly fantastic for something so simple. The hot dog I ate was well cooked, and had a crisp and flavorful feel to it. The fries? I never expected them to be so well seasoned, it complimented the hot dog in a way I wasn't expecting. An ice cream joint that does as well with the savory as it does with the sweet is a green flag of the best sort. Having been overwhelmingly impressed with my lunch, I decided to try one of their sundaes, Dairy Rich's specialty. I gave their Key lime pie sundae a shot, and I was certainly not disappointed! It felt like it was homemade, and the toppings absolutely complemented the flavoring. It goes to show that, as usual, you never judge a book by its cover. I've seen place since I first moved to Florida, and it has been in business since 1959 as I understand it; It's now obvious to me why. Oh man. What a superior burger spot. I'm so glad I don't live near enough to this place as I would eat here everyday. The burgers are perfectly messy. We got a blue burger, a cowboy burger, the not Big Mac and a plain cheeseburger. My husband and children and I shared these with chili cheese fries and plain fries. The boys working the counter were super nice and helpful and the food came out quicker than he said it would take. It's a cool place, with cool art. All outside, nothing fancy. I've had ice cream here before, the key lime is deelish! But I heard their burgers are to die for so I had to try. The Big Mac dupe is their most popular I'm told but wanting to get away from anything Mickey D's I went with the second most popular, the Patty Melt. While not a hamburger per se, the description sounded amazing. The verdict - I have mixed feelings on this one. While it was definitely good, it didn't knock my socks off as I was anticipating. I feel like the buttered toast that encapsulates it replacing a hamburger bun overpowered all other flavors. The prices are also a little high when you pay $12 for a hamburger and nothing else. Their specialty burgers including the patty melt are double smash burgers so it's a lot of food which in that perspective can support the price I guess. I will definitely be back for ice cream and I think will come back to try the traditional single patty cheeseburger and see how flavorful that is. This is not a restaurant, it is more like an old car hop. Take it to go or eat outside on a bench in the nice Florida weather. This place, at least for what they provide to food delivery services, has gone way down hill. What's the point of adding allergy notes to a ticket in two places an it's ignored. Then the rest of the food looks like a child made it. Make sure you go in and pick it up because if you get it delivered you're screwed and only get a $5 refund for a ruined order. Imagine ordering the smashed burger fries with all Kind of toppings, but instead you get a soggy batch of fries with a slab of ground beef. Evil, soulless, and baneful food. Why would you throw the fries on top of a steaming hot BURNT grilled cheese sandwich. They were ordered individually and you massacred them both further by putting them in the same container. No seasoning. Grilled cheese tasted like it's fried in the same smelly oil they use for everything else. Fries were most likely frozen and microwaved and.... Well, the photo speaks for itself. Very disappointing. This local unique spot hit the spot for us! We wanted a burger and maybe fries but we got more and learned they have local Amish ice cream straight from the large Amish community in Sarasota! We used to drive to south St Pete to get Amish ice cream but this is in Palm Harbor! Woohoo! It was Sunday afternoon during a Tampa football game so we were the only customers. Heck, we were practically the only people driving and not glued to a TV. Fine with us! They play football every week as far as I know and I don't watch it any more. I'd rather explore and experiment! We each ordered burgers and were pleased to learn they cook to order! Medium rare? No problem! Later we learned the standard burger comes with condiments and lettuce/tomato. That's what we got! But, it turns out you can order pickles, onions, jalapeños and much, much more. Next time! Our fries and onion rings were both crunchy and fresh. That's huge for us. I hate soggy or limp fries with a blind hot passion. These were on point! My wife also got a Chicago dog that was tasty! Best fast food smash burgers I have ever had! And hard pack and soft serve ice cream!!! Can it get any better?!?

Ate here again last Friday for lunch. Place was happenin'! I ordered the smash fries and he ordered the Irish smash burger which neither of us could pronounce the name of. Smash fries = home run. Irish smash burger = double home run. It had cheese, croquette, fried egg, Guinness gravy and I am sure I missed something else. This place kills it. Staff friendly and this time they delivered the food to our table. When we finished he opted for a twist cone of chocolate and vanilla. It was fresh and soft. Sometimes fresh ice cream can be almost gritty but not this. Very smooth and creamy. We cannot get enough of this place. You must stop in. I know the hot FL weather and sitting outside don't go together very well however with all of the mounted fans, it keeps you cool so you are you are able to enjoy your meal. read more

We had the special- some sort of truffle cheesesteak with truffle cheddar bacon fries - TO DIE FOR. We got a bunch of other items on the menu like Buffalo ranch bacon fries and all sorts of desserts. Everything was amazing from ice cream to glorious brownie Sundaes & good ole milkshakes. Wish we loved closer to return but definitely worth checking it out! The Husbeastie chose the salted caramel, and I chose a dusty roads sundae. I saw this place on the side of the road and wanted ice cream before the ride home. I turned around and found a parking space quickly. Once in front of the counter I was overwhelmed by all of the options. They had food, soft ice cream and hard ice cream. I finally found the list of hard ice cream flavors top left and saw that they had black raspberry which is my all time favorite. I adore ice cream and grew up walking to a nearby red barn in my small town to buy black raspberry during the summer. This one was exceptionally good. It was darker and more flavorful than most. This is not like a sorbet. It sort of like strawberry ice cream. It is fruit flavored and creamy. The scoops were not the biggest and so I was happy that I ordered 2 scoops. They have picnic tables that are under cover. I sat for a few minutes to enjoy my ice cream cone. I will be stopping here again when I am in the area. read more

I had a great visit and not so great visit. Both times I ordered essentially the same thing, but my experience was drastically different. First visit - I ordered a medium version of the chocolate chip cookie sundae. It's so much squeezed into a tiny cup and I was so confused because... no warm chocolate chip cookie? As advertised? I wasn't told there wouldn't be one but I didn't say anything because I figured it was just an oversight. The next time I came back (maybe two weeks later or so) I ordered the same thing but large, and asked about the cookie. Turns out they're doing Oreo's right now instead of the cookie. That's fine but if you're not giving a warm chocolate chip cookie, dooooont advertise that as the star of the dish! Tell people when they order it or change your menu. 4 stars for the flavors of the sundae because the ice cream is still good af, service and communication are just lacking. read more

Beautiful night, low humidity and our plans changed unexpectedly and we wanted something quick to eat.. perfect night to try this place.. sit outside at one of 4 or so tables.
