If you haven't been to Kookie Krums in Dunedin yet, you're missing out on an absolute gem! It may be small in size, but it's HUGE on flavor, quality, and charm. This adorable bakery/breakfast-lunch spot completely impressed us. The menu had so many great options -- from creative breakfast items to delicious lunch choices -- everything sounded amazing. And what we ordered was fresh and delicious. This is such a cute little cafe. The cookie and quote wall is very Instagramable! I was invited to a cookie exchange where I was asked to bring 2 dozen homemade cookies... well that just didn't work out and I was able to pop into this bakery for these cookies. The lady who helped we was so nice and she suggested a few varieties! The cookies received raved reviews at the party! read more

This is by far the best café in Dunedin! The staff are incredibly kind and friendly--truly the kindest people you'll meet. Everything is delicious and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. They have the best breakfast in town, hands down. The salmon bagel with capers is absolutely perfect, and the quiche is rich, fresh, and flavorful. I only wish I had discovered this place sooner! The food here was delicious and many gluten free options! Seafood soup was amazing! The beef sandwich was delicious! Would really recommend this hidden gem. The only thing that we noticed was after a large dog came in with her owner, the server touched the dog and didn't wash her hands after. Very small place, but really cute! read more

We discovered this cute and cozy restaurant one morning while driving around town looking for a breakfast place. When we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the friendly owner, Georgia, and were seated. I ordered the Black Forest Ham and Cheese Quiche and my husband ordered the Vegetarian Quiche. Both Quiches were delicious! We so enjoyed our dining experience at Kookies Krums that we decided to go back the next morning. Georgia bakes the very best muffins and cookies! We wish we didn't live so far from Dunedin. We highly recommend this restaurant. Give it a try, you'll love it! read more

This place is a hidden gem in Dunedin. The owner operator is a women full of character making the experience at Kookie Krums full of laughter and smiles. The food was amazing and the portions generous. They have an available Gluten Free menu that made me so happy. I had the gf biscuits and gravy the first time I stumbled on this place and today when my husband joined me he had the the meat quiche and I had the lox and bagel. Best one I have had in Dunedin and my husband said the quiche was excellent and the crust was buttery and flaky. It is a small quaint place but I've never had a wait. read more

Came here December 16, 2020 about 2:00pm right before they were closing. PURCHASED: - Cappuccino Chip Muffin $4.00 - Banana Nut Muffin $4.00 - Chocolate Chip Cookie $1.50 I can tell you from now that the cookie is def overpriced. It's not even big and I could've gotten a better cookie for less or at least a bigger one. The muffins are really dense. Def not my muffin style. I like them softer and fluffier. If you are looking for a quick grab & go breakfast, I would suggest a cappuccino chip muffin. There is a whole lot of deliciousness packed into that baking cup. It's big enough that you could cut it in half and have it on two different mornings. But I was a glutton and ate the whole thing and I'm not even sorry - it was worth every single calorie. BTW, they also serve a fabulous breakfast and lunch if you want to eat in their cozy cafe. read more

Ok now that I live in Savannah instead of Tampa I learn about this amazing bakery! The good news is they deliver locally and long distance! I ordered a couple of thank you cookie gift boxes , wrapped so attractively , my recipients raved about the packaging as well as the quality of the cookies. The cookies are chocolate chip, peanut butter, oatmeal raisin, sugar, m&m, and white chocolate macadamia. Are you drooling yet? I spoke to the owner, Janet, who was a delight and will definitely be stopping in to meet when in the area. She was so kind, informative and proud of her products. I came in on a whim while I was enjoying a day off in downtown Dunedin. Since I had a vacation day but my husband had to work, I wanted to get him something. I thought the bakery would be a good treat, plus I've wanted to check it out. It was A-OK as per my 3-star review. I got a couple red velvet cake pops and left. Nothing really stood out, and I wish there was more variety in the baked goods. It was around 2 in the afternoon, so maybe they have a better selection earlier on the day. The cake pops were definitely good, just not necessarily something I'd go back and get. It did seem like their specialty is gift baskets, so that might be a cute idea to get someone down the road. read more

Cute spot to grab a sweet treat. Located off Main St in downtown Dunedin, next to a hot dog shop/hair salon. The only bummer is that it's not open on the weekend. Wish they were open more for all to enjoy what they have to offer. Change the hours, maybe for at least the summer? read more

We got the salted caramel and classic chocolate cupcake tonight and both were terrible. Both the cakes were over cooked and dry. There was way too much frosting some people like that but not when it's dense frosting. For $4 a cupcake they need to learn how to bake before selling overpriced dry cupcakes. Skip this spot for desserts, you could make better desserts out of a box at home. read more

I read the reviews before ordering a platter and cupcakes for a house warming engagement. From my understanding of the reviews, she lacked in customer service. I tend to take every encounter into perspective when it come to customer service. The owner is a small business mom who is a straight shooter, on and off the phone. Very direct with her speaking tone, which some might take offense to it, but very appreciate of new customers and their service. I loved her cupcakes. Not too sweet but delicious. My husband and oldest brother stopped into Kookie Krums this past Monday. My brother is visitng from Okinawa and wanted to get something unique for some of his coworkers. We were very impressed with the selection of ideas displayed. We also were impressed with the customer service we recieved. The owner was out this day but her Mom was there supporting her daughter and provided us with great service and ideas. The cookies will not make it back to Okinawa as my brother felt I should take them to share with my coworkers. He wanted to thank them for helping me through my illness. Love this store! Love the owner! Love the Cookies! I live in Michigan and whenever my family/friends need a pick me up Kookie Krums is where I turn. Kookie Krums makes it easy because I can call, e-mail or order online. Each and every delivery has been filled with happy phone calls, text messages and Facebook posts about "HOW GOOD" the cookies are! I actually enjoy this cookie place. I got some sugar cookies but I believe what was the best to get was the White macadamia cookie ! It was the best, I believe it has coconut and some other stuff ... But it was amazing ! And the only thing that sucks are the hours because I want them something around the afternoon but they close at 4. So make sure to check the hours before you head to this place. read more

We have been wanting to come here since seeing them on TV for the Chocolate Festival. We wanted to buy a few of their S'more cookies which we did not know you had to special order in advance but to call a few hours in advance and they would have them ready. Talked to the employee for a few minutes which was very friendly and courteous. We got a white chocolate macadamia cookie, peanut butter cookie and a chocolate brownie which were all amazing. Everything was fresh and just sweet enough. We will definitely be back again to pick up those S'more cookies that we wanted. read more

I wanted to send my niece a get well basket after she just had eye surgery. I ordered from Kookie Krums online and realized by the time I finished, it was past closing time. I called the store and a very nice young lady answered and said she had already closed but she would reopen the store to assemble and deliver the cookies to my niece. A half hour later I got a call from my sister telling me that my niece was thrilled with her gift! The employee could not have been sweeter or more helpful. The price is a bit high and the coffee is good, but not wow. I enjoyed the environment here and see why people love it. It was nice for a change, but not somewhere I'd go everyday even if I lived close by. Again, I can see why people love it. They have a great menu and fairly good execution. But with all things considered it's an every once in a while treat and not a daily occurrence.

I'm not a huge fan of coconut, but these cupcakes were absolutely divine! The chocolate was rich and the cake itself was so fresh. Pops loved the surprise. The cookies are amazing tasting and they stay soft and delicious. The cookies are also substantial in size -- no small cookies here! Since I am out-of-state, I have used Kookie Krums' shipping service. Everything is packaged very well; no breakage occurred with the containers or the cookies -- shipped from FL to KS. Everything has arrived on time and as promised. I have visited Kookie Krums in person, and the owner is super-sweet, providing the best service. I can give her an idea about what I want, and she either makes it happen as requested, or provides a recommendation on how to make it better. Kookie Krums bouquets and baskets as bridal and baby shower gifts, as big thank you's and little thank you's, and "just because." My boys love it when our last errand is a surprise visit to Kookie Krums just for them. Okay - It's actually just for me, but I'm generous so I buy cookies for them, too. :-) The owner of Kookie Krums is one of the most creative people I know. She listens to what I want, offers suggestions; and when I pick up my order it looks just like I pictured it or, seriously, even better. As a Pennsylvanian on a visit to a craft show in Duneden several years ago, I found this wonderful cookie shop on Main street. Being tired and hungry I went in for a cookie. This store is amazing. They not only have the best cookies anywhere, they also make cookie bouquets, baskets and various other gift ideas, all made with cookies. Please not the star is for the delivery. Delivery process was fine. Once the cookies were received by my father, no one was impressed. The cookies were over cooked and tasted burnt. The containers aesthetics left a lot to be desired. The product my family was expecting for my father was not what we received. Once we called to talk about the situation, the lady on the phone was defensive and in no way customer service oriented. I will never order from this company again! read more

Janet, the owner, is very warm and friendly, many of our daycare children have had the good fortune to have enjoyed their very first cookie here. She has many small gift items to offer as well as amazing cookie bouquets, cupcakes, muffins to enjoy with your breakfast coffee and delicious brownies and cake pops. The ambience was nice and so was service, but that's where the good things end. This was a disaster and shameful that it's called French. Serving croissants and eclairs and putting French names to menu items does not make something French. We ordered a turkey omelette with eggs on top, an eclair, a chocolate croissant, a croissant with ham and cheese and tomato and lettuce, and a cream filled beignet. Let's start with the bakery goods. All bakery goods should be made fresh that same morning. The croissants, and pastries all should be flaky and taste fresh. These were hard as if they were all yesterday's leftovers. The filling on the beignet was obviously a Jell-O pudding mix, and definitely not homemade. The eclair for some reason had some kind of supposed chantilly cream and raspberry instead of the traditional filling, and both of those fillings were also all store-bought. The eclair was also stale and tasted like it had been in the fridge since yesterday. The omelette was an absolute joke. If you look at the picture I posted, my index finger was actually taller than the entire omelette which is supposed to be filled with ham and cheese as you can see from the post photo. The ham and cheese were also packaged meat and cheese as you can tell since they all were sliced exactly in the same way and same size and tasted processed, and the cheese wasn't even melted completely. The omelette was just incredibly dry and bland. The croissant suffered from the same disease. It was hard, not flaky, and tasted stale as if it had been made yesterday, and all of the meat and cheese was obviously packaged meat and cheese which tasted processed. This tastes nothing like anything you would find at any French bakery in France. In France. Everything is made the same day, and the moment it starts going stale and stops being flaky, is thrown away. This is an absolute insult to French bakeries. Even if you compare it to other American bakeries and breakfast places, nothing tasted good and for that price, it should. Definitely avoid this place. I know I will.

Blueberry croissant - a first for me and utterly delicious (couldn't wait to get home and had to have a bite in my car!). An almond and chocolate croissant - the gold standards. I topped off my order with the classically French tarte au pomme and a fresh berry tart with cream filling. Just divine, each and every one! Jerome's does not disappoint!
