First time trying Lazy Dog, and honestly was not expecting much, besides typical fast casual dining. However, my boyfriend and I came during their happy hour and they had such a vast amount of choices of apps and drinks for a really good price. Everything including their service was above average as well! We definitely enjoyed trying as many appetizers as we could and will be coming back to try the rest. Special shout out to our server Hector, he helped us choose all of our delicious items and gave us great service.

Stopped by for a late-night dinner, and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of cuisines on the menu! We ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo and the Bison Burger with Cajun fries. The fettuccine had a delicious herb flavor, while the burger was juicy and flavorful. The Cajun fries were crispy and seasoned just right. The service was excellent, and our waiter checked in on us throughout the meal without being intrusive. The interior has a cozy, dimly lit atmosphere, with seating options indoors, at the bar, or out on the patio. Overall, a great spot for a late-night meal with plenty of options to choose from!

Wonderful environment and decor. If you bring your dog, you can sit outside on the patio. American food with an Asian side to it. Always changing and evolving new dishes and that is something I love. I found the lunch specials great. You get half sandwich, fries, and soup. Their tomato soup is really good. The staff is great, and you will enjoy your meal.

Camp inspired restaurants with good drinks and food, we came around 5:30 Pm on a Sunday decent amount of people. The restaurant has bang booth and bar seating. Lazy dog has a large menu with drinks, appetizers and main. I got the chicken lettuce wrap and fries. Hubby got the bibimbap bowl. We also got a beer flight each. Staff were so friendly since it was our first time they gave us complimentary fried chips. The food was decent I think BJs had better food but a solid option with good vibes. Overall family friendly and casual would love to try the meatloaf next time.

The food here is typically pretty good overall . The chicken tortilla soup was ok . I did say I can't have dairy and the server asked if I wanted to have her check if dairy in it and I said no that's ok but it did have cheese in it so had to send it back . The lemon tater tots were really too sour but I like savory things so I did finish them ! Sandwich ok . And I liked my non alcoholic Sam Adams ipa and I usually don't like ipas ! The server was very good but almost too good. She came to check on us at able even when we paid bill and had only water .. I kid u not .. 10+ times . So started counting . Not sure may so much . We were there for World Cup .. and I should have been asked to be seated by where the action was . I guess it was already full . We were seated on a high top table which I requested ahead but at a table by tv with cc (closed captioning ) no sound on and not preferable . There was a loud bday party of 14 ppl or so we were seated by . I have a feeling they asked for World Cup sound off while party going on. It was very Louis in restaurant and bar with World Cup (understandable) and bday party going on . I'm someone super into soccer and World Cup. My mom not as much but a trooper for being there . Your ads on Facebook are really clever and great re hosting watch parties for World Cup . Restaurant may need to expand viewing area or we could have sat outdoors ! TVs out there too ? Re the server, she was really an excellent server and I gave tip to reflect that but maybe just cut the visits to table in half . We were interrupted a lot . And it's fine for a regular table but we were in the World Cup experience area and it was super distracting . Not sure if the server aware of this ! She just kept automatically coming Back to table as if on a timer for every 10 min , I get That's her job but less is more sometimes .. or just a little Less ! I do like lazy dog . The orange one too . Maybe this one can be bigger like the one in orange ? I think my mom liked her food and the experience . I just have Ben's places to watch World Cup which were a bit more user friendly and u get freedom to watch game and not checked on so much but maybe this is because I was at more of a pizza and bar place and this is restaurant too . Maybe a buffet would be good idea for World Cup experience or just less of the check ins even when only sitting there with water . Service is very good .. but just a recommendation as a loyal customer . Thank u .

What a gem of a restaurant and super service. We had 8 people and a "papa" birthday! Many selections, great prices for So. Cal.

One of the best restaurants in Tustin, located at the Market Place outdoor mall. We came here on Wednesday and even in the middle of rush hour lunch, it only took 10 minutes to get seated. Our waitress was Heather, and she was *awesome* she was really nice and helped us order, and then we had questions on their excellent iced tea, and she spoke with the manager to find out how we could get this brand, and in the end, we left with two full gallons of Lazy Dog iced tea. Great service. Heather really was superb. OK, on to the meal. We ordered two dishes. 1. Cheeseburger, fries and yes, iced tea. I had the cheeseburger with grilled onions. It was delicious and so were the fries. 2. Blackened chicken burrito bowl. My friend loved it. 3. We kept getting refills of our iced tea because it was great and Heather was always checking on us! Great place for parties, lunch, dinner, etc. We plan to come back. Lots of parking as well. We really had a great time. Thank you again Heather. We will ask to be seated in your section.

This restaurant has a spacious and pleasant atmosphere, and the staff are incredibly friendly. Their beer is always fresh and delicious, and the food is quite good too. If you visit during happy hour, you can enjoy a highly cost-effective meal. The parking is abundant, and the fact that it's dog-friendly makes it an absolutely fantastic place. Whenever I have plans to dine with acquaintances, this is my go-to spot. Highly recommend it to everyone

We checked out Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar for their $65 Valentine's Special which included a welcome toast, starter to share, two entrees and a dessert to share as well. We started off with the Crispy Deviled Eggs with Candy Bacon! Then we got the Candy Bacon which I did not take a picture of it because we ate it so quick. Both were very tasty. Then my Hubs got a Bison Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes. I got the Grilled Idaho Trout with Crispy Potatoes and Garlic Green Beans. It was so good that we did not have any leftovers to take home. We finished off our night there with a Butter Cake which was yummy as well and we are grateful that our waitress was able to get us the last one before they had ran out. The service was awesome and appreciated management checking in on us. Everyone we had encountered was super nice. Love was in the air so the vibe there was very fun and friendly.

The food is great! Service is exceptional! Ambience is nice, a little loud but in its defense, we did come on Valentine's Day. So it was a bit crowded. You can even bring your dog as they have a doggo menu :) It's a great escape to get out and try something new if you are new

We sat outside with our dog, and they brought a bowl of water. Lots of other dogs sprinkled about. We got the Trio Appetizer, and they confirmed that the portion size is the same as of you order them separately. The French Onion Puffs stood out as the tastiest. The PB Martini was very yummy, but I wish it came in a larger glass. Haha All the entries were satisfying, as well. Solid experience overall.

ETA: As directed, I reached out to Lazy Dog over 3 weeks ago via the email address given (agent2@ldeat.com) and to date, I have not heard back. Their Yelp response seems performative. We decided to use our T-Mobile BOGO (up to $25 value) deal today which could be used for dine in or online so we placed a takeout order for 2 PM pick up. We received a text upon arrival at 2 PM that the new estimated pick up time was delayed for nearly 20 minutes. That aside, I selected, Thai Noodles, because it was on their Favorites menu. I am genuinely curious how this is a popular Lazy Dog dish because it taste nothing like actual Pad Thai. The shrimp and chicken were charred and almost inedible. The rice noodles were so overcooked, it was mushy. The other ingredients, egg and tofu, were tasteless. I definitely do not recommend ordering this entree.

Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar

What is the volume like? Is it loud/noisy inside?

It's pretty loud. You can't have a quiet conversation, that's for sure!

    When is brunch hours?

    Saturday and Sunday until 2pm

    Do they take reservations?

Only for large parties and in general, day of. If you are a member of their Beer Club, you get to skip the line.

Is there tap pay with your phone available?

They use the Clover hand held device that they bring to your table

    Can I pay at table?

Yes I was just there yesterday. They bring the machine out to you so you can pay right there without having to give them your credit card.

Does the shop work Saturday night?

It's a restaurant and bar. Of course they're opened on Saturday.

Do they have heaters on the patio?

Yes they have heaters on the patio.

Is outdoor dine-in available as of 7/22/20?

    Yes it is!

Are there any TVs on the patio? I want to bring a dog and still watch the Women's World Cup matches...

Unfortunately, no TVs in the outdoor patio. Only TVs in the bar area inside. Maybe stream the games from your phone?

Are there any gluten free options?

Yes, though there isn't a gluten free menu. There are a few items that are gluten free, however.

    Open for thanksgiving?

I asked when I was there a couple weeks ago and the server said no. I do know that TAPS and Lucille's and Mimi's are all open.

What the hell have you done to the hummus appetizer; it went from fresh homemade & wonderful to sad?

Yes, it has. They changed their menu again. Apparently they received feedback that the old version wasn't flavorful enough. I dislike the new version and have stopped going to Lazy Dog.

Can you bring a small dog with you to the restaurant? What are the restrictions?

Here's a direct link to the dog menu and patio rules for dogs from the Lazy Dog website! https://www.lazydogrestaurants.com/dogs/info

Cuz nothing on planet earth -save for my wife's lovely figure, of course- will get me going quicker than a well made burger, executed flawlessly. Hopdoddy Burger Bar gets a LOT right: Well made glamburgers that could grace the cover of "Bon Apetit" or "Playboy" what with their glistening, fluffy brioche buns; Creatively christened names; Vast arsenal of craft beers ready on tap; and quick, fast-casual service. Like Jerry Maguire, these folks had me at "Hello!' However, your favorite Yelp correspondent has savored well made burgers on two continents and in 42 states. Here's some tasting notes that my (probable/likely/one day) future son in law and I co-devised: The brioche buns, despite their pillowy softness and foodie-porn good looks, make a lousy vessel for any of their "wetter" burger choices. On Eli's Caddy Wagyu and my Good Night Burger, we both were left with bottom buns soaked like a sponge with various toppings incl bacon jam, house sauce, tomato juice and grilled onions. These were both soggier than my bride's handkerchief after watching "The Notebook!" Please consider offering picky burger snobs like Yours Truly a more suitable bun choice that can withstand the assault of wet ingredients! Suggested vehicles include potato buns, ciabatta, sourdough or even pretzel. Also, pls consider selling customers a small side of fries that ACCOMPANIES the burger- Charging folks $7-13 a la carte when they're already spending $11-$24 for a (glam)burger seems mildly exploitative. Pro Tip- Try dipping your fries in their housemade Chipotle Ketchup is a flavor bomb! My bill, for two gourmet burgers, a large fries and a diet coke, was $47 and change.

The fries are great too (thin and crispy) and they have a nice selection of house sauces. Their signature Hammer Sauce, White BBQ sauce, Garlic Sauce, Chipotle Mayo, Jalapeño Ranch and Ranch. I went around the world and tried every one. Customizing your sauce by mixing a few together is not a bad idea and likely a veteran move. I have had their sweet potato fries before and they are above average. I have also had their chili cheese fries and a cup of chili...not bad. Their Flatty Melt ($11) was the first burger I tried when going the first time. Unique and tasty. I've also had Spicy Smash ($11) that has a pile of grilled jalapeño's on top. It's hot so be prepared. They have a nice selection of beers but I haven't gone down that road yet. Lunch was so good, I bought my son-in-law a $75 gift certificate. The downtown area has really be revitalized and now it's fun to walk around.

The staff were friendly and attentive. We arrived right before the dinner rush. The place had TVs on and music playing. It seemed like a fun place to eat and hang out. One of the staff mentioned how they were packed last weekend with all the FIFA games. We ordered take out - a classic Hammer Burger, a half order of chili cheese fries, and a small order of onion rings. Sauce station was near the soda, you could get whichever ones you liked. Despite our 15 minute drive home, the food was still warm and really delicious. The burger had good flavor with and without their house sauce. The chili cheese fries were skinny fries with a cheese sauce and bean-less chili. The chili was filling and had a little kick to it. The batter-fried onion rings were (still) crispy and yummy with both ranch and the house sauce. We will definitely be back to fill our smashburger and chili cheese fries cravings! PS- The bathrooms were clean.

We had been to other…read moreplaces like Habit, Shake Shack. etc., but we actually liked MOOYAH better than most others. Compared to Shake Shack the Burger just seemed larger and tastier, but of course it was more expensive. We would easily choose MOOYAH over Shake Shack regularly if they would come in a little bit lower priced or at least offered the kind of promotions and coupons that shake shack offers. I got a veggie burger which was excellent, it's become one of my favorites, prefer this one way more than shake shack,. We also got the Oreo milk shake, our kids loved it, it didn't last long, every drop was gone in minutes. Hope to come back again soon.

Mooyah is a place I like overall, but I wish I could like it more…read more I like the freshness and customization of the burgers. It kind of reminds me of Five Guys, but the meat tastes fresher and more grass-fed, it does not feel as overpriced, and there are more options for cheeses and toppings. I also like the surprisingly generous portions of fried potatoes, whether you get the French fries or potato chips. I only have one big issue with Mooyah, though: they oversalt the hell out of the fried potatoes. It is especially bad with the homemade potato chips, which really sucks because I can tell they are homemade. Unfortunately, when I order online, I do not have the option to request no salt. This is frustrating because I like to control my sodium intake, and I do not get any real say in how much salt is put on my potatoes. I clearly get an overload of salt whenever I eat fried potatoes here. Otherwise, I like this spot. I just have to be prepared to get a small size of fried potatoes for my body's sake, sodium-wise.
