Definitely one of the better hot dog options in AA. A little pricey but the portions are definitely bigger

Handmade chorizo combines with the rich flavor of duck fat fries featuring chorizo duck gravy heaped over blue cheese. The potatos were nice and crisp!!!!! I can't wait to see what else they offer....I would order this again in a heart beat. Pictures to come! Oh and the proof is in the pudding, because they sold out of them around 6ish! Here is more info from them: Debajo del Sol is the vision of Chef Jay Scott and his wife, Cristina Trapani-Scott. While honeymooning in Barcelona back in 2004, the two envisioned one day sharing their love of Spanish cuisine with the Ann Arbor area. The dream will be realized in spring of 2011 when Debajo del Sol opens as one of Mark's Carts. Chef Jay Scott--Chef Jay is a graduate of the culinary arts program at Schoolcraft College in Livonia, Michigan. While there he studied under Chef Dan Hugelier and Chef Brian Polcyn. Chef Jay has since worked in kitchens throughout the area, including The Earle, Vinology and the Ritz-Carlton.

I tried the white bean, lamb chorizo chili - or at least that's what I think it was called. It was excellent! If you order it, make sure you get it with the mint yogurt topping. Apparently they will be back in the weeks to come, so I plan on sampling a few of their other items. At this point, I cannot give it 5 stars simply based on one cup of chili. I may be back to update the rating soon. That being said...it seemed a little pricey. As my buddy said, they were "ballpark prices." 7 bucks for a brat - loaded or not - seems a little high. I think it was 8 bucks if you wanted to add sauerkraut. Even if they knocked that price down only a dollar, it would seem more reasonable and they'd still be making a profit.

The inside eating place is shared with a Deli place and outside eating area is shared too with a funky nice setting. We went for lunch and were able to secure a seat inside for 4 easily. I ordered OG Veggie Bowl with low spice. It was really amazing and flavorful. Unlike other places, the bottom portion of rice was not plain- flavorful from top to every grain of the rice. The server rightfully warned about the spice LEVEL. Dare you to order spicy level. Medium was super good and tasty but as expected, it was spicy but perfect with the potato chips. OG Veggie bowl comes with all 4 choices of veggie bombs - pickled onions, sesame cucumber, red cabbage slaw and house kimchi - all super delicious !!!

Located in charming Kerrytown, you can easily bundle farmer's market shopping with strolling through Kerrytown shops, downtown shops, and/or grabbing a tasty meal while you're out too. Saturday mornings through early afternoon year-round, and Wednesdays May-Dec. I will say that this year it seems like Wednesday market is much more sparse in terms of vendors and offerings than it used to be, but still a nice option for a less busy day. Artisan market on Sundays, and occasional events throughout the year as well - like the Christmas market each December (one evening only). Parking can be a little hectic - have to be kind of lucky to get a market lot spot or one of the spots on Detroit St (paid), but there are other street parking options and nearby lots and garages. I used to like going Wednesdays before 8am, because I could always get a spot on Detroit St and it was free before then.

It's part of the experience. Come prepared to walk a bit and you'll be fine. The vendors clearly put in a lot of effort. You can tell there's pride in what they're offering, and the market itself has a good atmosphere. That said, I didn't really find anything I needed or couldn't live without this visit. The items were fine, just not quite what I was hoping for. I do wish the vendors could get a little more bang for their buck, whether that's higher traffic, better layout, or stronger buyer energy. The effort is there, and it deserves to be rewarded. All in all, it's a nice stop, worth checking out, and still a good market even if it wasn't a standout haul for me this time. Four stars.

The bao buns were very soft and loaded with flavor. I had the spicy pork and I wouldn't consider it spicy but it was bursting with umami. The wife had the shorty and said it tasted just like the fries but in a steamed bun. I also had the chashu but it was lacking compared to the other two. If we were to come back while visiting family we would probably get two orders of the loaded fries. The fries were super crisp and had a giant portion of short ribs, green sauce, and cilantro with radishes. The green sauce is a very unique combo of flavors but isn't spicy. The only downside today was they were out of drinks but were able to go inside York and get some water. Regardless the service was super quick and we hope to be back while visiting.
