The staff was very friendly and very helpful. It's a nice campsite we were going to camp somewhere…read moreelse that had gotten flooded out and this place was dryer. The site was a gravel base which was nice but, the electric outlet was way in the back and the water spicket was way in the front, on the wrong side. I've never seen a site set up like that before. It was very tricky getting the RV in just the right spot so that electric cord would reach, but I couldn't get the hose to reach so I ended up borrowing a hose extension.

My husband and I stay at Poor Farmers often. I highly recommend this place, and I'm very picky…read more Out in the country with gorgeous views, And only 15/20 minutes to Piqua and Troy. The staff is wonderful, very helpful and friendly and will go out of their way to help you. They ARE very pet friendly, (we have two cats and a dog) you just have to clean up after your pets and keep them on a leash. The bathrooms are clean and air-conditioned. The grounds are very well maintained and they have pump out service for a small fee (if you get a site that doesn't have septic) and RV service and repair. They installed our new air conditioner and did a fantastic job. They also have fun events here. We will be staying here every time we come to Ohio. Don't be fooled by a poor review. This park is awesome. You should definitely check it out.

Wow! Where to begin?!! The staff was phenomenal! The campground is very clean, landscaped…read morebeautifully, the showers houses (3) are always clean and air conditioned! Private showers with a toilet and sink. The one connected to the office is semi private. We tent camped and were on site T2. Very spacious and grass pads. So no matter the size of your tent it will fit nicely. Ours is in the photos. 13 ft in diameter. The pool, playground, jump pad etc were all in great shape and well maintained. The camp store had all the things you made want/need. Text the office and they'll deliver to your campsite even if you buy firewood. Lots of hardwood trees for shade. No raccoons or critters at night messing with your things. Quiet and peaceful environment and lots of squirrels and birds to see/watch. 40 minutes to downtown Cincinnati. Casino less than 10 miles away for those who like to gamble, premium outlet mall close by as well. Definitely will be back! The only thing I could suggest is swings for bigger kids & adults. I love to swing. lol

We had a great trip, but mind the timing of when you go!…read more Specifically, the experience of Float Troy was really cool. The concept is really neat and you can use the raft for reaching your tent to explore the water ways. Make sure to bring a portable fan with you as the air can get stagnant and muggy in the tent if there is no breeze. As for the timing, we decided to go on the 4th of July because we thought it would be cool to see the fireworks out on the water. What we did not anticipate, however, was just how much the people of Troy seem to like their fireworks. People were setting them off over and around the water well past midnight. If you like to stay up late, this may not be a problem for you, but if you're like us and like to be asleep when the next day begins, you may want to pick a different date. Overall, I would highly recommend trying this out to experience it for yourself!

Woo! What a fun experience! Entice the adventurer in you with a fun trip to Float Troy!…read more Thorough details are given at arrival as far as tethering, kayak/raft usage, safety, restrooms, check out procedure, etc. 7 cameras accompany the space at Treasure Island park with a 24/7 concierge/emergency line. Each tent is tethered several times in the shallow 2.5 feet deep river passage. You're not going anywhere! Locals suggested K's Hamburger shop and Grandpa Joe's Candy buffet- both were delicious! Wrap up everything in your biggest garbage bag and enjoy the paddle out to your own floating tent! Floating fire pits are first come first serve, highly recommend a four hour fire log to avoid a headache with getting a traditional fire started (while floating). Only downfall, the train. It came through a few times at night which definitely woke us up. It's all part of the experience, maybe we just booked a busy train night. This is one of those things that you just have to try once! Plan to get a teeny bit wet while transferring items or go all in and enjoy a swim on the Great Miami!
