I feel like I need to write a review and redeem Lazybones from it's thus far terrible rating. My amazing abode in Back Bay has one drawback - no laundry facilities. The nearest laundromat seemed way too expensive, especially since I'd have to do all the heavy lifting (read: sorting and folding) and for the same price I could get a service like Lazybones. They pick it up, it comes back clean. They comply with my special requests, which range from "no fabric softener on towels, please" to the odd items that I tag as "please don't put this in the dryer." It helps to be specific with these special items... i.e. putting it in a Shaw's bag with a big note inside with said instructions, but I figure I can help LB out since they are after all doing my laundry. The arrival windows for Back Bay haven't been super accurate for me. Back before I signed the waiver to have unattended pick up and drop off, I did get a little frustrated that they showed up outside of the window. But it wasn't the end of the world, and my clothes still arrived on time the following day. They lost my sweater once, but I called them and they found it. And got it back to me in record time. It's bound to happen once in a while (no one's system is that perfect) but everyone was super nice and helpful in getting it back to me, and communicating regular updates during the search (I'm not kidding). I hate doing laundry. Not only do I hate the act of doing it, I hate the act of gathering up my laundry, driving somewhere, carrying it into the laundromat (dropping dirty underwear along the way), waiting while it washes, blah blah blah. So the thought of having someone else COME AND PICK IT UP AND DO IT FOR ME???? Youdon'tneedtoaskmetwice. The price works out to be reasonable. They only come once a week to my area, which is kind of a pain, but if I time my laundry needs right, it works out OK. However, the last time I sent my clothes back, the most expensive pair of pants I own were not in there. Yeup. Dior. $450. Why did I send them away? Because I hate laundry, and because they say "do not dry clean" on them, and because what, why wouldn't I trust them? Two calls and a week and a half later, and I still have no Dior pants. I know, I know. $450 on pants is crazy anyway. It's not something I normally do. But now that they have disappeared and they just don't seem to be coming back...I cannot in good faith recommend this place. If they come back, and suddenly their customer service seem to be responsive, I'll edit this review. Because the service is good (they even keep your detergent, if you're picky like me and want it to be all natural and pretty smelling and shit, and just use your detergent.) And it's handy. I really wanted to be impressed with Lazybones. Really. I love the idea of someone taking my laundry away and magically returning it to me folded and clean and beautiful. But the with Lazybones, the idea was better than the realities. Pros: -Pickup and delivery was on-time -Landry came back folded neater than I'd ever thought possible -- even button-down dress shirts came back pressed and non-wrinkled -They weren't phased when I asked them to only use non-scented, hypoallergenic detergent and no fabric softener. Cons: -Took a week to schedule a pick-up. Their website was down for a week, and I had to leave 3 messages to get a human to call me back. -They used scented products *anyway*, after I left a note pinned to the laundry and had the operator put a note in my file. I'm allergic to whatever detergent or softener they did use, so I'll have to wash everything again myself. I could call and complain and ask them to re-do it, but is it really worth another week of my time to get a human on the phone? All in all, If you're patient, persistent, and not picky about detergent, Lazybones might be a good bet. I might use their services again, if it was finals and I was super busy, or if I was recovering from a surgery or something... I do still appreciate that laundry services exist. But if I can walk down my basement stairs and pay $2.50 to do my own wash, I'm probably not going to pay to have someone else do my laundry -- especially if I'm going to be allergic to whatever soap they'd use. Like another said, if it were possible to rate with no stars, I would. I bought my beloved, overworked boyfriend a laundry package as a creative Valentine's Day gift. He scheduled pick-ups online, and even called and emailed to confirm his appointments. Lazybones never showed up. Not once. No apologies, no explanations. He started putting his cell phone number in the "special instructions" section and requested that someone call him if there were an issue or they were running late-- still, no one showed up. He emailed Bryan Furlong, head of the Boston operation-- no response. I emailed Mr. Furlong 3 times before getting a reply. He offered me ten pounds of laundry for our troubles. And that's it. I opted for a refund. I was told it would post to my bank account within three or four business days. Here I am, over a month later, no refund and no further replies from Mr. Furlong regarding my refund. Lazybones' ratings on here are lukewarm, and I would highly recommend using extreme caution when entering into a relationship with this company. They are shady and unreliable at best. read more

This is the third year I've been with Lazybones and today I've experience the rudest customer service I've ever had in my life. I've moved recently and happily continued my service with Lazybones. However, after the first week of pickup the driver missed my laundry pickup date. I called to confirm there was an address change and the customer service representative I spoke to assured me of the address change and rescheduled a pickup. After three times, my laundry still was not picked up... Fast forward to today, I called Lazybones again to ask what the matter is. The customer service representative I spoke to, Erin Higgins, was the rudest, unhelpful representative I have ever dealt with. She explained that the driver had given me a call and rang my doorbell which I proceeded to tell her I never received a phone call nor hear the buzzer. She proceeded to be unhelpful and told me she is only reading what is on the system. I told her I've never received the call and was home all day and never heard the buzzer. I questioned if she was insinuating that I am not aware of what's on my phone. She responded, "If that's the way you want to take it, yeah." Already upset at the way I was being treated, I demanded to speak to a manager. Erin then told me there are none available in the building. I then requested for someone to call me back by the end of the day and she told me I am scheduled for pick up today from 1:30-3:30. By 3:15, my laundry still was not picked up, nor did anyone give me a call back. I called Lazybones yet again, and lo and behold it was Erin again still just as rude. Again, I asked for the manager and she told me that she forwarded the message onto the manager and the manger will get back to me when she's available and that she has left for the day. Still unable to fix my problem, I demanded for another person I can speak to. Only then, FINALLY, after arguing with her for so long, the manager who supposedly left for the day is put on the phone. Erin then ended the conversation with, "Our manager will be speaking to you soon. Maybe you'll be as rude to her as you were to me." Unbelievable! Ignoring her rudeness, I hoped that finally, maybe the manager could be of help. NOT AT ALL. The manager I spoke to I believe is named Ashley, was just as rude. As I explained to her the situation she curtly responded, "Ma'me, I already know the situation, you don't need to explain." She figured out the my address in the system has not been changed...even though I spoke to a representative who confirmed my address change. I tried explaining to her that I called and confirmed previously and was told that everything was in order.. how is it my fault that Lazybone's system was not updated? Finally so much rudeness, she changed my address and rescheduled a pickup for tomorrow... which I will wait to see if my laundry is successfully picked up... Again, I've been with you guys for my 3rd year now, and it was always a pleasure, especially when dealing with the customer service team. I am honestly appalled at the service I received and even after reaching the manager, the situation was escalated and so rudely handled. This problem should have been handled swiftly and be done with. My previous experience with you customer service team has always been pleasant so it saddens me that you new team members could be so rude and condescending. I really hope this problem gets remediated quickly so that future customers and existing customers will not have to go through the same experience. Bottom line is-- if you wish you to have your laundry done, better hope you don't face the unlucky chance of having to call Lazybones. I've only had two experiences with Lazybones and that was enough for me to understand their method of doing business. I have to say that the first time I used their laundry service it went very smoothly, my laundry was picked up and dropped off on time and it was nicely folded, smelled great, no damage and it was all there. The second time I tried to get my laundry picked the driver called me when he was supposed to be at my house telling me he would come back 2 hours later, fine. Getting my laundry back was a different story. They didn't show up twice when they said they would, no call no nothing. Finally rescheduled for a new time later that night, no show again. Honestly, the laundry service isn't the problem it's the customer service. When you call you reach an answering machine ALWAYS that tells you they are helping another customer but thats just a lie. You can never talk to someone, they call you back on their time when they feel like it. It just doesn't make sense. Overall Lazybones seems like a lazy company. I've always hated doing my laundry- it always took a big chunk of time on a weekend and dropping it off was always an experience. I never knew when something was going to be missing, shrunk, ruined or when my laundry was going to be ready. I hated it. I eventually found Lazybones and I seriously love them. Setting up my account was easy- they immediately scheduled me for a pick up, I handed over my laundry in a trash bag and they returned it tightly wrapped in brown paper with an awesome and colorful laundry bag. (If I ever move out of the area I'm keeping the bag!). I'm always impressed when they scan my laundry bag when they pick up and drop off my laundry. So high tech! I love how my clothes smell and how they are folded. I'm always nervous to turn over my "delicates" but I've gotten over it and Lazybones returns everything, even the smallest item, perfectly folded. Their old website was not the best- the new one is much better. Instead of having to call them to move or cancel a pick up, I can just do it online. This came particularly handy recently when I was out of the state for two months and had to postpone many pickups. Their new website is a big improvement- I can now add more pounds to my account, keep track of how many pounds I have left, schedule a pick up on a different day, give the driver instructions on where to leave your laundry if I'm not home, etc. Most importantly, they have been able to keep up with my craziness and high maintenance self (LB, please dry this separately-its brand new; please dry this inside out; please DO NOT dry this item at all; please dry this in high heat- new and I want to shrink it; please get this spot off my white shirt). They've been able to always wash and dry everything exactly as asked, and they have never lost or shrunk anything (once I accidently threw a sweater that was dry clean only, they caught it and returned it dry cleaned!) I did try their dry cleaning once and although the clothes were great, their prices were higher than my local dry cleaner. I haven't tried them again since then because having my dry cleaning delivered the next day just isn't that much of a priority. I'd rather wait the extra days and pay less. I also wish they would list their dry cleaning prices on their website. read more

My college pays for this laundry service which comes out of our tuition. At first I had no complaints with the service. I had no missing clothing, it was convenient, and they came back folded and fresh smelling. Every so often things would come back wrinkled because of the fabric and how everything is tightly folded and bounded into the brown packaging. I would just whip out the iron and ironing board and viola! But then 4-5 months in was when things started going downhill. We usually drop off and pick up our laundry in the common room. Not really at a specific time. We usually got our laundry the next day but then we started getting our laundry 2 days later. I didn't even know that their policy was "next day delivery" until I looked at their website...anyway. Never in my whole experience of doing laundry myself have I gotten rips and tears. I am usually a very understanding person. When I called about the first damaged shirt which was worth $50 from Zara, I was told by the manager that I could not get a check to replace the shirt but instead he would offer the same money's worth in services. Reluctantly I agreed, and I asked for $50 worth of dry cleaning. Then he to decided that he couldn't offer me $50 worth of dry cleaning but $25 or 50lbs free. I'd rather do my own laundry at home so I settled for the $25 worth of dry cleaning. With the dry cleaning credit, I send a sweater in a plastic bad with "dry clean" written on it with the rest of my laundry. Sadly it comes back wet and extremely wrinkled in it's own separate package. I call to get an explanation and apparently it was washed and "air dried".... the girl tells me this story about how they don't want to charge people for dry cleaning if they don't ask for it. I try to make it clear that I asked for it and I had dry cleaning credit. And she acts as if everything is fine and says "Ok, I'll make sure to put it in the system". Was this information overlooked not put in the system before?! And for some reason, dry cleaning takes FOREVER to get back to you, as in 7 or more days!! So, school is about to end and I had sent a cardigan to be dry cleaned the week before, at that point it, it had been 11 days so I give them a call cause we have to move out of our dorms and I won't be there to pick it up. They schedule to have it dropped off at my friend's apartment from 2-3. They come at 7. I felt so bad that she had to wait 4 hours at her apartment for my dry cleaning. Around the same time, I started loosing some of my clothing (socks, towel, t-shirt) along with getting other people's laundry. I emailed them about it and I all I was told was "I have informed the manager". That was pretty much all that was done about that. They didn't even ask me to send back the clothing that wasn't mine, so I donated them. Sorry if one of you are missing 2 male polos. Actually, I take that back, it's not even my fault. I recently sent a jacket that came back with missing button and I was told to send it back so it could be evaluated. I sent it back with the rest of my laundry in a separate bag with a post it note inside that said "missing button on left shoulder". I come back to my apartment yesterday to find it IN THE SAME CONDITION but in the package, folded and cleaned. Thanks but no thanks. I was told that it would be mended and at least expected an email or phone call. The service is unreliable but I'm more upset with the damaged clothing. I pay good money for my clothes and it's clear that they don't pay attention to detail. I'm a grad student and live in the South End. My husband, who lives out of state while I'm going to school, got me a $40 gift card online thinking it would be a sweet way to help me out while I'm in my stressful program. I went online to schedule a pickup and all they have is one 2-hour time slot one day a week! I don't have laundry in my building, do you think I have a doorman to leave laundry with in the middle of the day? I'm a busy full-time student, these hours are terrible and inconvenient, what's the point? I asked for a refund on the gift card but they wouldn't do it. They messed up my delivery this summer. Back in July I email them to sign up for a delivery for late August. They first said my location was off school campus so it doesn't work but later told me it works after getting managers' approval. So I emailed them I want my stuff to be delivered on the 23rd. They didn't reply until a couple days later asking me the same question I have already answered, "What date do you want it to be delivered?" So I sent them the date and address again. Then they never responded. So I assume I was all set. Then on the delivery date they told me that I had never ordered a delivery, that I never told them my dates and address, and that since they are all booked, they can't deliver my stuff until 6 days later. It turns out that they were supposed to send me a confirmation email after I ordered which they never sent, because they didn't tell me that the August 23rd delivery date doesn't work AND NEVER ASKED ME TO CHANGE TO A NEW DATE. This is a review for the Lazybones in McFarland, Wisconsin. This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. My daughter stored boxes with them for the summer. She had five boxes picked up and personally watched the boxes being placed on the truck. Some how from the boxes being placed on the truck til the truck was unloaded they lost a box. She received notification at the beginning of summer that they had four boxes. She sent emails, called customer service and notified them that five boxes were picked up. No updates from them in the attempt to locate the box they lost. I called customer service and spoke to Hailey, her response was "we pick up thousands of boxes sometimes we loss them". The customer service from this company has been atrocious. They never reached out to my daughter to update her on any attempts to locate the box they lost. Numerous emails were sent with no response. No one answers the phone unless you let it ring forever. Then you get the wonderful response of Hailey that oh well, we lost it. I guess it is too much to expect a company that is in the business of storage to do their job and pick up boxes and return the same number of boxes that they picked up. I would stay away from using this company unless you want a lot of wasted time and frustration dealing with their incompetence. read more

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! Once started, there is no way to change or delete your payment information, apparently only the owner of the entire name can do such a thing. Your CC information will be saved and charged even if you do not elect for services again. This is a franchise, so when you call customer service you speak to a nice woman who has almost no power to do anything. She cannot change information on the site, process refunds, or direct you to the appropriate franchise owner. When asked to speak to a higher authority, you can't. No managers, no leaders. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY! After three weeks of calling and emailing the numbers given to receive a refund after they processed my payment WITHOUT my permission or election for renewal, I have had to contact my bank and dispute the charge as fraudulent. They took the money from the account but never reached out about starting the service. Absolutely no one will contact you back for a problem you are having or to address a problem. Not to mention the prices are ridiculous. I was charged 24 dollars for a bag of laundry, that I washed myself for 4 dollars at the laundromat. Save yourself money, time, and a scam by not using this company. read more

Their "my account" section on their website never worked for me, and when I tried to call to set up a pick up, I couldn't get through. I used Lazybones for summer storage while in college at BU. What can I say about Lazybones? I wish it were possible to give 0 stars, or even a negative amount, because that is how I feel about their service. They showed up 5 hours late to pick up my stuff, and they kept telling me that they were on my way, even though they weren't. I almost missed my flight home because I was waiting for them to show up. They charged me about $150 more than they said they would for storage. They also delivered my belongings a few hours late. Many of my belongings came back damaged and they were very reluctant to reimburse me for objects they broke. It was extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. I was not impressed. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. Yes, my laundry came back cleaning and smelling great. However, the service is expensive and I am STILL waiting to find out what happened to a pair of my pants that went missing. The first time I used the service was in September... I was supposed to have my pants returned to me or received some sort of compensation for the lost clothing. Almost four months later and nothing has happened. I did not even use my left over pounds because I was too afraid of losing another article of clothing. Only use lazybones if it is your last option. The most unprofessional company I have ever had experience with. I highly do not recommend using them. I had furniture I put into storage and while signing the invoice I took out insurance on ALL my furniture with their representative ok-ing it. After three weeks of being in storage when they moved everything into my new place every piece of furniture including my $350 dresser and my bed frame was damaged. When I called customer service to have my furniture replaced because it was covered they decided that they would rather refund me for the amount of money I took out for insurance rather than replacing my furniture. They claimed they sent me an e-mail stating all of this, but never actually did. Not a trust worthy company. read more

after reading my review, i got a call from mike (the guy who runs the boulder location). he showed great concern regarding my negative experience with lazybones this semester, and eagerly assured me that he would try to figure out what was going wrong with my laundry pick-ups. i was really surprised (and pleased) that he cared enough about customer feedback to contact me, and was really thankful that he offered to roll over my poundage if i was unable to use up the quota by may. the following week, my laundry was totally picked up on time and delivered the next day. ive never had an issue with the delivery/washing- so A+ there. this last wednesday, i got a call from mike around 9:30am saying the pick-up guy was unable to find my laundry, and that he would come back and grab it if there was a misunderstanding. i called the driver, confused as to why he showed up at 9:30am (instead of 10am), and found out that his schedule has shown me scheduled an hour earlier than my assigned time on my online profile this entire time. i feel so bad that this dude has apparently been showing up all semester, and that i had just been missing him, since our appointments differed in the system. i hope i was able to express this to him sincerely, aaaaand i hope he didnt get yelled at or something. im glad we finally figured out the issue and that everything can go back to normal now, though. my account still lists my pickup time as 10am, but now that i know its really 9am, things should run a lot more smoother now. read more

They picked up my laundry at a moment's notice---maybe the lack of a need to plan ahead should have warned me. Nine days and two failed pickup attempts later, I'm on the phone with their customer service and they're saying they have narrow delivery windows that don't work for me. I"m a new customer .. I really hoped this would work out .. I'm flying to San Francisco in four days .. they don't care. I finally realized I could have it go somewhere else in the city a time when I am available---so at least I get my laundry back---but I had to think of that and suggest it, they didn't! hoo boy. I've recently seen some laundromats advertising their own pickup and delivery services, so I'll try that next. Lazybones had me sold on the concept, but not the execution. I thought this would be a great idea to use once or twice in a pinch when I was busy, and tried it when I got a discount through my job. However, the company overcharged me and didn't apply the discount, and did not return my hamper when they brought back the laundry. After contacting them, they did issue the money owed and returned my hamper - but then a couple weeks later a guy showed up at my door with dry cleaning that wasn't mine and sure enough I'd been charged $20 for it. Very disappointed! Short review: poor customer service and do not handle their mistakes very well. For the longer version, read on: My boyfriend and I had some items stored together over the summer. His name was on the account but they had both of our information. My boyfriend arranged to have my stuff delivered before his. He specified where it should go and which number they should call. I called the day before to confirm. I took off work the morning of delivery and sat around waiting during my 3 hour window (8-11). About an hour and a half into that period (9:30), I called to check on the status. I spoke to a really nice girl who said I was next in line and they would be calling me shortly. So I sat and waited and waited some more. At about 10:30, I called again. I was told that they attempted to deliver my stuff at 9:00. When I mentioned that I received no phone call and that I had called at 9:30 and she told me I was next in line, I was put on hold for a very long time. The operator came back on and said they called my boyfriend's number, EVEN THOUGH we had specific instructions to call my number (and they did have record that we told them to do that, for some reason, they just chose not too). Well my boyfriend is out of the country so obviously he did not get the call. The operator offered no apology for THEIR mistake and told me that it might be delivered within the next hour. When I explained to him that I needed to go back to work and could he guarantee delivery within the next hour, he skirted around the question. I understand that mistakes happen, but to offer no apology and not really trying to make it better for the customer is why I am giving them two stars. They cost me a lot of money due to their mistake (because I had to take off more than a half day of work) and their lack of apology shows poor customer service. I cannot comment on their laundry service because i did not use it, just the store and delivery. So proceed with caution. If they make a mistake, it could cost you. read more

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE IF YOU WANT ALL YOUR CLOTHES BACK. I used lazybones for an entire semester and my last laundry pick up they lost $300 worth of clothing and refused to look for the lost/stolen items and/or reimburse me for them if they weren't found. When speaking to the customer service supervisor he called me a liar after I repeated told him exactly what items I was missing. He didn't listen and he raised his voice to speak over me. I have never had a worse customer service experience. I am now out $300 because of the worst laundry service I have ever experienced. I will never use Lazy Bones again and suggest you don't either. If you want a great laundry place go to Star Dry Cleaner and Laundry. They are so helpful, nice and do a fantastic wash and fold service. read more

One star given because zero was not an option. WORST BUSINESS I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. My senior year at Bentley University I was using LB for laundry. I received a message that the credit card I had on file expired, for which reason I did not receive any of the laundry I dropped off. Immediately I began working with the student who worked the LB booth on campus, who was clueless of how to set up a pick up for my laundry and had no helpful information on how I could find out more. I made it clear that I would be more than happy to pay my outstanding balance, as long as I could receive assurance that my laundry would then be delivered. I was given no such assurance, but was told that it would "most likely be delivered" AFTER I paid my outstanding balance.... Yeah right.... Then LB accounts receivable began blitzing me with emails to pay my outstanding balance. I repeated my experience and said I would be happy to pay as long as they can assure me I can pick up my clothing. They said their notes show them no longer holding any of my clothing, only that I maintained an outstanding balance. After the sales associate at the booth on campus was unable to help after several visits, I decided to cut my losses and accept the fact that LB would not be returning my laundry. Realizing they misplaced my laundry after about 10-12 months, I decided I would not be paying my outstanding balance for clothes I would not receive. LB followed up by threatening to send my information along to collections, which would have an adverse effect on my credit score. Basically in summary - the company was run by too many amateurs to find a solution for my issue when it first arose. After several attempts to fix the situation, I gave up hope of getting my clothing back. Then they started demanding payment for a service they failed to follow through on. After I did not submit payment they threatened my credit score. To top it off, customer service was rude, unsympathetic, and non-cooperative. To say I wouldn't recommend this business to my worst enemy would understate my experience with this company. I was unaware the dynamics of our free market economy allowed businesses run in this manner to survive. NEVER NEVER NEVER use this service, unless you are looking to give your money to a company with wildly inefficient operations and rude customer service team to go along with it. 0 stars if it was even allowed by yelp. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I never write Yelp reviews, but I felt this was necessary. I bought a semester-long subscription with Lazybones at the beginning of the year, and now I wish I hadn't. This week marks the 6th time in a row that they have failed to pick up my laundry on time - and I even called the main office this week to make sure that they would be there to pick it up! Guess what, they failed again. The customer service is rude and takes extremely long to respond. I just found out that they charged me for getting laundry done "twice in one week" even though it was THEIR fault for missing my delivery the week before - twice! - even though I had called and they promised to come get it. I am appalled at how terrible the service is and will not be continuing with Lazybones EVER again. I'll find a new laundry service before I waste my time dealing with them. read more

Never again. These guys dropped my daughter's boxes when they picked up. They never showed up to deliver the boxes on the day it was scheduled. No call. No communication. We waited around for 7 hours and still have not received the delivery. My advice is to go elsewhere. They are called Lazybones for a reason! read more

Review for storage service: Lazybones, I want to love you, I really do but this is the third time things have been messed up. First the good stuff: There customer service reps are AWESOME. They are very helpful if you need to schedule a pickup/delivery outside & when there have been problems they work very hard to right them. However I have stored with them twice & there have been issues with both of my deliveries and one of my pick-ups. The first delivery they left an item off the truck, I got a call from them to reschedule for the next day, not the worst thing ever, clearly I went back. Second time I got a call early on the morning of my delivery requesting to pick up my stuff then (5 or so hours ahead of my slot). I don't mind the request, if you are in the area, okay I understand that. However, what I did NOT appreciate was their pushiness when I said I wasn't available. I was asked if I had a roommate that would be there or if I could be home any earlier. FYI - I was on my way to a job interview & planned on having a couple hours after I got home to finish packing...Ultimately I moved up my pick-up time by two hours. Today, I should have received my belongings between 10am - 1pm. Around 2pm I called the customer service line asking where the crew was. I was put on hold and then informed the Boston area manager could not be reached, but they would call back when he was. I was called back and told that due to a glitch in the system my delivery didn't make it onto the schedule for today. They wanted to reschedule the delivery for tomorrow. No dice, I work the rest of the week. Once again, the representative was wonderful working with me to set up a 6pm delivery...at 6 I received a call from the delivery team that they were still an hour away....So I've spent ALL day waiting on my belonging to arrive. For all of this, my account was credited 15% which was offered immediately. So for your kindness and effort to make it right, I want to love you, but 3 out of 4 interactions with a mistake is just too much for me. tl;dr - great system, nice people, too many mistakes. read more

I'll be brief here (as I know college students have better things to do). Having used laundry services in NYC this really does not compare. Clothes come back slightly cleaner then when they left akin to the clean I'd by a freshmen just learning to use a laundry machine. With no other local option for laundry, however, what choices do I have? It's also not too uncommon to find a burn mark or little bits of dirt pressed into whites when they return. Then finally there is my biggest gripe with them. Socks. Not only do they barely get cleaned but almost always they go missing. Somehow they manage only to lose expensive dress socks or wool socks, whatever entered your basket with the highest monetary value. It will never return to you. In fact some times other peoples' socks find their way into mine. Oh insurance you say like the write on their website? Good luck ever getting a hold of them. I've tried. It's part of their trick. All in all avoid if possible. If not you just have to deal with the losses. read more

I have been a user of their service for the past year. They are highly disorganized, and do not pick up/deliver your laundry in the time frame they give you. In addition, their customer service is reprehensible and useless. They will try to resolve an incident but end up creating another. My advice is look elsewhere for laundry service, unless you don't mind dealing with the headache of calling every few weeks to wonder why your laundry wasn't picked up or delivered back. read more

At first I was hesitant to use Lazybones because I thought having my laundry picked up and delivered seemed extravagant. But I found out otherwise. The service is a total time and money saver. I literally shove my laundry in their bag, leave it for the driver and it comes back folded and ready to wear. Gives me more time to go out to eat. read more

Customer since January 2009. This is the first time I review anything. Short version: Check out Life With Out Laundry (lifewithoutlaundry.com/), they are good people and have the system worked out much better especially online. And I think they are cheaper. Best service for students (I am a BU student that has tried a few of these). Long version: The plan was to use the service on occasions when I need the most reliability and have no time to stress over laundry. I am writing this post with dirty, unwashed clothes, BTW. The few times I had used the service in the past things had gone pretty smooth. Laundry delivered and very well done. Way better than I could ever do. The problem lies within the organization of the business and the honesty. Scheduling availability not always the greatest. The website confusing. Phone calls rarely answered (I have had to wait for over 10 minutes on multiple occasions) even though it said "You are the next caller." Seems like they are playing solitaire or something in the office. When they answer a rude lady trys to intercept your call as if they don't want you to call them. To summarize my experience... They "magically" signed me up for their semester service and kept calling me on a weekly basis. When the driver would call to pickup laundry, they insisted it was paid for. So after declining them a few times, I did laundry with them. They later charged my card and the calls stopped. I am cool with them charging me since I hadnt paid for the semester service; however, they never explained this to me or brought it to my attention. Then they stopped coming to pick up my laundry. They claim they kept calling however its been over a month and they never left a voicemail, no missed calls from them, no emails. Just a lot of dirty clothes. I think they communication of the management towards the drivers is lacking. It's not the driver's fault... they are nice down to earth people. Bryan the manager avoids and acts like he has no empowerment to fix a $30 charge or propose a reasonable solution. I started using them about two months ago. I have two small kids, and it just takes forever to wash and fold their clothes. My wife and I both work, and even though we have a w/d in our apartment, we were finding we were just running out of time to do everything. So I signed up, initially pre-purchasing 100 lbs of laundry service. We find we go through about 20 to 30 lbs per week. I just re-upped with their largest bundle, 450 lbs. Laundry comes back in 24 hours, nicely folded. My only (minor) complaints are that they don't pick up every day, and their website can be a bit clunky. Otherwise, it does what it advertises and it's a great timesaver for us. read more

We live in California and our daughter attends college in Boston. We have used Lazybones for 2 summers for storage. Our daughter is moving into an apartment this fall, so we had to figure out how to get furniture to her apartment on September 1st (which is not easy in Boston). I worked extensively with Joel to accept delivery of our Ikea furniture and add it to our daughter's delivery on September 1st so my husband could assemble it for her. He has gone above and beyond to email me when boxes arrived and charged me a fair price. I CANNOT praise him/Lazybones enough. Thank you! read more

Don't use these guys! They took a load of laundry and voluntarily sent for sweaters to dry cleaning and then have repeated sent smarmy threatening "deliquent" emails for 5 weeks. I have called them 12 times, sent the ceo individual email, and spoke with some employees three times. They still have a balance on my account for some 20 pounds, but refuse to reverse the dry cleaning THAT I NEVER REQUESTED! Rip off artists! read more

I was going to use Lazybones in my Freshman year but after hearing complaints from my friends about how Lazybones lost or damaged their clothes, I decided to do laundry by myself. But I did use Lazybones for the summer storage. To be brief, they lost my TV and gave no explanation about it. I had to complain and call them for an ENTIRE semester to get a few dollars so I could get a new one. Then I decided to try one more time when I used their dry cleaning service with some shirts. They assured me they were going to be ready for a Thursday and I was flying Friday morning and I needed those shirts. When I went there they had no idea where my shirts were and after calling to complain they said they were sorry and that there is nothing they could do about it. A very unprofessional and Lazy service as most of my colleges here at Bentley will say. read more
