I am not a college student, but rather a woman "of a certain age," which in terms of laundry means I hate spending my precious off-work time in a laundromat. I don't own a car, city dweller that I am, so going to a laundromat requires a taxi. Thus, the concept of Lazybones appealed to me from the get go; the reality: I AM IN LOVE. I've heard that there are those who are not 100% satisfied with this service. If they receive the service that I get -- and it would be reasonable to assume they do -- all I can think of is that they have little real world experience by which to judge superior laundry service. (Maybe, since this is a service aimed at those in college, Lazybones is competing with Mom, and Mom always wins -- if my ex husband is any judge of how the universe works.) Here is how the process works: I fill the provided Lazybones laundry bag with my dirty clothes. When the bag is filled, or I am out of clean underwear (whichever comes first), I go online and arrange for my laundry to be picked up. I leave the bag in the foyer of my condo building and the driver picks it up and delivers it back the next day. I have never in my life (and I am OLD) experienced laundry so perfectly folded. I have not experienced a wrinkle yet, and this includes my better quality "cold wash -- hang to dry" items. I totally love that I can specify items that need to be handled in a specific way and that the care is provided. On one occasion I did not realize an iPod had been left in a pocket. When the clothing was returned the iPod and headset were neatly presented on the top of the clean laundry (and still in perfect working order, obviously not laundered.) (And it would not have been their fault if they had put it though a wash.) I have never had an item of clothing go missing. One time I opened my apartment door to find three dresses on hangers hung from the door frame. I had not realized my hang dry items were not returned the previous day (LAZY being a term I relate to very easily) and the driver had brought them, AND CLIMBED FOUR FLIGHTS OF STAIRS to make sure they were delivered safely. On any planet that is considered outstanding customer care. I know they have had website issues in the past, and perhaps they still do (I don't know since I am "all set" and don't have to deal with the website these days except to schedule pick up.) I know they do not provide service everywhere, and I thank the laundry gods every week that I live within the Lazybones service area. Maybe Lazybones should ask all new potential customers to call the office to set up service and make sure they service a neighborhood (as at least one previous reviewer says she found out they did not only after signing up.) I do know that when I have called the office I have always had my questions and concerns addressed immediately. So, maybe if the website seems not-quite-right give them a call instead. My experience is that they will work with you. In my life I have worked as an evaluator for business customer service, and I have a long work life of my own. I have also raised two kids and done enough laundry over the years to reach to the moon and back. In my opinion Lazybones Laundry service is as good as it gets. Five stars. read more

I was skeptical at first because of the ratings here, but now that I've tried them out a couple times I thought it was only fair if I relayed my experience as well. The laundromat near me burned down, didn't have many options, decided to try out Lazybones. Simple to sign up, I just schedule it when I need it, and pay by the pound. First pick up was on time in the window they gave me, first delivery was about 20 minutes late. BUT the clothes were cleaner than I've ever gotten them, folded neater than I ever could, and smelled great. Whites looked especially white. When the delivery was late I got worried about the other reviews here so I wrote a note to Lazybones to ask if I needed to reschedule, as soon as I sent the email the delivery came, so I wrote another note saying to disregard. I got a response pretty quickly from management apologizing for the tardiness, and that if I chose to use them again I could get 5 free pounds, even after I said I would use them again despite the late delivery. It was a nice bonus, and it was automatically credited to my account. Second time the pick up was again on time, but the delivery was just a little late again, no complaints from me this time though. Pickup/delivery guy is friendly and polite each time. I felt bad I didn't have cash to tip him this time (also not sure what their policy on this is). Clothes were again sparkling, neat, and smelled great. Also, this time around I threw in a bunch of socks and they were matched as close as they could have been, another nice bonus. I definitely recommend this service! Maybe a little pricey to use all the time, but you're not just paying for laundry, you're paying for the service. Worth it if you can spare the $, especially if you don't have the time to do laundry. Reasons I didn't give 5 stars: There aren't a lot of options for pickup/delivery times, and I can't leave my stuff at the door where I live. I signed up for Lazybones after moving in with my roommates who already used their services. The service sounded great--after having to drag my laundry to the nearest laundromat for years, I was excited to try a pick-up and drop-off laundry service. However, I didn't expect much in terms of the quality of the finished product. That's why I was so pleased when I got back my first load--neatly folded, soft, great-smelling laundry wrapped in brown paper. The quality of Lazybones' service really is great--I've never had anything missing, nothing has ever come back discolored or shrunken--and it only takes 24 hours! The amount of time and effort I've saved using Lazybones' service is worth every penny. And the cost is actually pretty reasonable when you consider the convenience factor. There have been a few quirks with the website, especially when I've tried to cancel a pickup online and the driver still shows up for a pickup. However, the staff has always been so nice, even when I have to send them away or reschedule a pick-up or drop-off. I would definitely recommend this service to anyone who wants to try a laundry service but who is nervous about leaving his or her laundry with someone else. I used Lazybones while I was in college. The package prices are reasonable when you consider how much you spend doing it yourself and how much time you waste washing, drying and folding. (Not to mention you avoid the annoyance of collecting enough quarters and don't have to worry about your things getting stolen if you leave them unattended)! Each week, their pickup and delivery men worked around my busy schedule. There were times when I was a little bit late picking it up and they waited in the lobby of my building patiently. My laundry was always returned the next day clean, dry and perfectly folded. Only once did I see them make a mistake. I'll include this story to show how great their customer service is. What happened: they delivered my friend's dress in another customer's clean laundry package. What Lazybones did: Apologized and fixed it immediately. Tracked down the dress and returned it so fast she could've worn it out that night! In summary, I'd recommend Lazybones to any of my friends! I used lazy bones for laundry during my last semester of college and found them really helpful. It was easy to set up a day for picking up and dropping off my clothes and the guy always came right to the dorm within five minutes of when I texted him. Yes the pickup and drop off do happen at certain times, but I never had a problem with missing a delivery due to being in class or somewhere else. The guy who did deliveries for CU's main campus last semester was always around for several hours, and would deliver pretty much anywhere on campus (if say, I was at the library and decided I didn't my carrying my small package of clothes back to my dorm after I was done studying). The delivery guy was always punctual, and in a good mood on top of this, I have absolutely no problems with their laundry service. Just calling Lazy Bones if I had a time conflict or anything like that was enough to change things if I had any problems. I personally have never lost a single article of clothing and have never experienced anything but exceptional service from the company in an entire year of using them. And, they're doing my laundry for me, that's as good as it gets. read more

I recently signed up for their laundry service and I am delighted to say that I have been more than satisfied with them thus far. Lazybones just recently started servicing residential buildings in Boston. They originally started as a door-to-door laundry and storage service for students in Boston, Madison, WI, Syracuse, NY, Boulder, CO and Wilmington, DE. When I was in college, I subscribed to a laundry service that I was not very pleased with. My clothes smelled funny and I could tell they mixed my clothing with other people's loads. So ever since this bad experience, I vowed not to entrust my clothes to anyone, even though doing laundry is not my favorite chore. But Lazybones just changed my mind. Not only do my clothes smell good and clean, they come back to me neatly folded. The online scheduling system is very intuitive and efficient. I get my clothes back within 24 hours. If you live in the Boston area, you might want to check out their services. This is AMAZING! I absolutely love Lazybones ... living in an apartment with no washer dryer sucks, and spending 6 hours at the laundrymat once a week and the endless scavenging for quarters had me going crazy ... not to mention I work, so I cherish my weekends! I've been using Lazybones for the past few months and it has made my life so easy ... once a week I fill up my bag with clothes and leave it out for the driver, like clockwork its there 24 hours later - clean and folded neatly - I love those little laundry fairies! Update: Lazybones has now lost over $50 worth of clothing. So tired of their lack of respect for customers, respect for our clothing, and general lack of a business sense. What a joke. I have been using Lazybones for months now and to be honest, I don't think I could ever go back to doing my own laundry. I am not sure what company the first reviewer is talking about but I have NEVER had an issue with any driver or any employee of Lazybones. I lost a single sock and it was returned to me within 24 hrs of my call. The drivers, especially Joe, are very sweet and considerate and always friendly. I would not trust my clothing to any other company around the city. I want to support local businesses who are just trying to give a great service at a really reasonable price. I recently discovered that there was a laundry delivery service in Boston - wooooo hooooo!! And it's not only for college students. I'm a young professional and I actually have a washer/dryer in my apt. in Charlestown but it's way too small to fit my comforter. Thats when I decided to try Lazybones. I registered online and was able to set up for a pickup that evening between 8-9 (I think thats when they service Charlestown). The guy showed up and actually came all the way up to the 3rd floor to my apt door to pickup the bag and did the same when he dropped it off the next night! You can't beat that service! I've used them 3 or 4 times and I have no complaints whatsoever. And you definitely can't beat that I can send my comforter out tonight and have it back fresh and perfectly folded tomorrow night! I was told of this company by a friend who used them weekly and said that they provide excellent laundry service. I had previously used other laundromats to wash and fold my clothes and although it is always costly it did save me on time and energy but the hours of drop off and pick up were always an issue. This company has solved those issues by scheduling to pick up your laundry and dropping it back off to you at your residence. It does all this for the same price that others charge for you to drop off and pick up. I have not experienced any timing issues with this company and there have even been times when I have asked for a ton of laundry to be cleaned and they returned it by the next day!!! I would highly recommend their services to all that live a busy life and want to spend more time and energy on the more enjoyable aspects rather than sitting in a laundromat washing and folding clothes. I am an advocate for being efficient. I hate things that will take up time, if i really don't want to do it. Pretty much what I am saying, is that I am lazy. My friend at Syracuse told me about Lazybones so i opted to try it out with the free 10 pounds last year. When I got my laundry back i automatically signed up for a package. For the past year and a half I have left my laundry on my front porch in the awesome lazybones bag, and the next day it would come back PERFECTLY folded and smelling AWESOME. I have gone on to convince my friends to join up, and they to are on the Lazybones train. If only they were in NYC next year, that would be pure bliss. In conclusion, Lazybones is what makes the world go round, and is a must for any college kid who does not want to do their own laundry (and the price is not to bad either!) Never use there services in again! 1st time my daughter lost all her laundry waited 2.5 weeks for any resolve. Dealt with rude woman named Melissa who insisted on lying ever chance she got. Thought she had me on mute and was talking to a man who was very fond of the word whore and they were conversing just to get me off the phone and contact someone named Chris. I will be informing Bentley college as my son is there was planning on using there services and they come highly recommended. Do not waste your time with there antics, or policies. Manager's do not call you back and the profanity used while a customer is supposedly on hold is outrageous! The only thing this company cares about is there almighty buck! What they need is to treat customer's in a more professional manner! DO NOT USE THERE SERVICES UNLESS YOU NEVER WANT TO SEE YOUR LAUNDRY AGAIN! read more

Lazybones is a great service! I've used laundry companies before but their service is a cut above. The door to door service is awesome! I've only used drop-off services in the past which weren't any cheaper and were far less convenient. My laundry comes back folded like a pro, and they even used the eco-friendly detergent I requested. They will wash anything too... no washable fabric object too large. Those huge comforters and blankets you can't fit in a regular washer: no problem for Lazy Bones. If you haven't tried outsourcing your laundry I'd recommend Lazybones any day. I got started with the free trial and haven't looked back. Great time saver and they do a much better job at it than I would with zero stress. read more

I continue to be pleasantly surprised by Lazybones. I have been using Lazybones for a while and recently my girlfriend asked me if they had a non-scented, hypoallergenic detergent. I was afraid I was going to have to start washing my own sheets but a sure enough I was able to email Lazybones and have my laundry done with a non-scented detergent. Turns out they are very accepting of special requests and have a field on the website for them. They also sent me a coupon for 10 lb free so my girlfriend could try the service. Now that I have tried lazybones laundry, I don't know how I lived without them. Talk about convienient. My days of wasting time at the laundromat are over! I've been using them for a few weeks and so far they have been great. I was a little out of it last week after a long night and I forgot to put my laundry out to be picked up. I called them 3 hours after I was supposed to have it out and they sent truck right over for me. They had my laundry back to me, folded and ready to wear the next morning, less then 24 hours later. These guys stored and delivered all my daughter's stuff for 3 years now. I'm amazed at how they get it done given how crazy it is around campus during move in and move out. My advice to anyone sending your kid to Madison, schedule your pick up and delivery a month in advance. Ask your landlord if they will open the door for Lazybones before you even arrive. This year her stuff was in her room so we could unpack the minute we arrived. They even took a photo of my new house and new room with our stuff in it just for peace of mind. I decided to try these guys out, from a friend's recommendation. I scheduled on their website, and they showed up on time, with their colorful van, to pick up my laundry. The van was back, the following day, right on time, with a brown paper package, of my laundry. I brought it inside and unwrapped it. All my clothes were pristine. Clean and folded so well, a Military Sergent would cry. I really can't do the folding justice. It simply has to be seen. I'm definitely using these guys again. My kids go to school in Boston,MA both attend B.U. I've actually used Lazybones for summer storage a couple times, when I'd leave a BU for the summer, but I never thought to use them for their main service: laundry. Since I'm staying in Boston this summer though, I started using their laundry service. Every week, they pick up my bag of dirty clothes, and it magically comes back the next day, clean and folded. I don't even worry about laundry anymore. I just leave my bag in my building's lobby, and the laundry gnomes come get it, then bring it back nice and clean and folded.
