Mylene Frances, is literally a hero. She has saved many countless lives including my own. I was on so many different types of medications (including antidepressants), and some were interacting with each other. This was causing my 8 foot colon to be caked. In other words I couldn't shit to LITERALLY save my life. Whenever I did make a bowl movement it was hard as marbles that were identical to rocks! (I am not over exaggerating whatsoever.) I went to a G.I., the G.I. sent me to the emergency room because they were so concerned. The emergency room did x-rays and I could see that my intestines were so full of shit that they were swollen up to my thoracic region. In other words, had I waited two more months I would have died from an explosion of my intestines that would leak toxins into my bloodstream. I am also a B negative, RH negative blood type, and so there would have probably been no help to bring me back. Of all the places I was going everyone just kept giving me more and more pills to take. If not pills they were giving me more and more types of drinks that just seemed to do absolutely nothing and I felt hopeless as I gained over 30 pounds in the matter of one month. I started out at 105 pounds being a 5'1, and ended up being 188 pounds in three months afterwards. I found Mylene by chance, looking through all of my options when I was at the emergency room because I had no idea where to go. I was being sent back-and-forth back-and-forth from the emergency room to the G.I. it was like nobody knew what to do with me and nobody wanted to really deal with my mess that I was in either. Not only did Myleyne help me by curing these problems...She also educated me in many things that I was unaware of such as parasites. How each parasite is a different disease. Everybody contains good and bad bacteria, and how important it is to know your blood type. For example I am negative B which means that I should stay away from all kinds of pottery. How could I have known had she not educated me through each session we had together. It has made it very helpful for me so that I do not gain weight. I was full of yeast in my stomach from eating so much bread and pasta, I had no idea that I had destroyed my body so much by doing something as simple as eating something that I enjoyed due to taste. Thanks to her, I'm finally able to go to the bathroom after every meal that I eat now. I am more educated and more confident in myself when it comes to my body and my health. I have been doing colon hydrotherapy for at least 5 years now, and I have to say this place is by far my favorite. I have been seeing Mylene for about a year or so and my digestive system has definitely improved. Most places only help you for about 30 to 40 min, whereas Mylene will treat you until you are completely "empty". She genuinely cares for someone's health and well being. She is honest and can be rough around the edges, but ultimately it is only to help a patient. This can work for and against her as I see some comments below with 1 star. I think these people are too sensitive and need to understand that everything she says or does is for your own Good! If you are sick she will tell you! (Hence why you are doing a colonic in the first place) If you are uncomfortable with someone "touching" you don't do a colonic! A colonic is very personal and you have to understand that there is something not functional in your body. For the ladies below who are insulted at the comment "fat" you put yourself in that situation and need to know Mylene's intentions are to help you and not offend you. If she is suggesting your bad eating habits are causing you constipation maybe you should listen to her! Keep in mind she is from a foreign country and may not express herself as well as someone born in the US. Regardless of place of origin, she is knowledgeable about the body and has experience. She is honest and straight forward. If you want someone to lie to you and just take your money and keep you coming back forever...go to a "spa-like" medical center (some of the comments below mention this as a downside to their experience). Doctors are out to get your money, she owns her own facility, therefore, it will have a more "home" feel to it. To each their own, but for me I have to say I never feel entirely "empty" with any other colon hydrotherapist. I walk out of there feeling amazing and then go back to New York. And yes, I come all the way to this location as often as I could from another state. Anywhere else is just not the same. I had been working with my diet and exercise routines for more than 20 years, including cutting out all sugar and simple carbohydrates. After two years of clean eating, meditation, and yoga, however, I could tell there was still something wrong with my "gut." I was still "bloated" and had either visceral and/or subcutaneous fat that I just could not get rid of. I left the first colonic session feeling much lighter and less tense overall in the midsection. After just four sessions I had lost 1.5" around the midsection, and had much less discomfort overall in the "gut area." Colon hydrotherapists say part of this is because you are removing "impacted waste," while many argue (including my "Western doctor") argue there is no such thing. Regardless, colon hydrotherapy has massively improved my health, and even my "Western doctor" agrees it has probably significantly improved my health, though he thinks it is because the colonics removed a lot of bad stuff like "yeast" from the large intestine, reducing the "byproducts and bloating" yeast (such as candida) and other "bad stuff" sitting in my gut was producing. As others have noted, Mylene is very passionate about making you more healthy in general, and will likely talk to you about diet, her favorite product (a high quality fruit puree), and eating habits as those are also important to achieving and sustaining optimal health (and getting rid of excess fat). As at least one other reviewer noted, everything Mylene says is because she cares about making people well, so don't be offended if the way she expresses these things (especially since her native language is French) seems too "direct." If you want to get healthier, it's best to start from a place of truth. Mylene will suggest other things you should do in addition to colonics, but if you choose to ignore those suggestions and only use her colonic services, she will oblige. read more

I visited this place on 7/15/2025, desperately in need of a proper DEEP colon cleanse. I had done my homework beforehand and, despite the $130 price tag and an hour-long drive, I thought it might be worth it. Big mistake. The moment I walked in, I was hit with a strong moldy smell--like the place hadn't been cleaned in weeks. The atmosphere was unwelcoming and honestly a bit sketchy. Once inside the treatment room, things only got worse. The room looked run-down, neglected, and dirty. The vent above me was caked in thick dust, making me question whether this place is even up to health code standards. Then came the actual procedure. The technician inserted the tube with barely any lubricant--it was rushed, careless, and extremely uncomfortable. She immediately began talking about how the session would last "35-40 minutes," even though the website explicitly says 45 minutes for $130. When I questioned this, she unapologetically told me it would still be $130, regardless of the shortened session. So apparently, they charge full price for incomplete services. To make matters worse, my entire lower body was exposed, which already had me feeling extremely vulnerable and uncomfortable. Out of nowhere, a random woman walks into the tiny room without knocking, saying nothing, and starts moving around like I'm not even there. No introduction, no warning--just a blatant invasion of privacy. I couldn't take it anymore and ended the procedure early, after only about 30 minutes. I walked out feeling just as bloated and uncomfortable as I came in, only now $130 poorer. This was a complete waste of time and money, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I moved to Old Town five years ago. Mylene is a talented lady. I've had a few different services done by her. First the facials are the best in Old Town, she takes her time to examine the skin and pick the best products for you. Her products are top notch, I left feeling like a new woman.
