I received my colonic last week at Holistic Colon Hydrotherapy . Mrs Marie service was great and she is informative about the process treatment. I was very comfortable as the office and treatment area is nice and clean. This was my first time having this service done . I had a 10/10 experience. Marie answered all my pre service questions and also provided me with recipes for smoothies , juices to make for my after care. I would recommend her to anyone interested in the service. I drove in from DC to see Ms. Marie b/c I've been hunting for a hydrotherapist who really knows what their doing in the DMV area for over a year. Soon as I walked in, I noticed space is clean with zero smell/trace of what the area is intended for. As the treatment began, I was given an electric massager to rub on my stomach that made an rapid difference on the discharge amount I was releasing. Wonderful experience. I did 12 sessions of colonics to cleanse and give my colon a break. I went pretty scared the first time, as it sounds bad to begin with, but I gave it a shot ready to run for the hills if I felt uncomfortable. I did not have to. This was my first time doing a colon cleansing of any kind. The reason I went here was because when I called Mrs. Marie took considerable time explaining the process. Other places rushed me off the phone or, some of their staff were not knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable before I arrived, as if I've known Mrs. Marie for years. As much as we're eating... I hope we all have a plan to get it all out of our systems! Especially the way we're eating these days... and I'm not sure why people are so embarrassed to talk about poop! I LOVE A GOOD POOP. Sure our bodies naturally will eliminate metabolic waste but like most things in life, things are blocked. My husband has friends who partake in annual colon cleanses and rave about how fantastic it is... so we decided to give it a shot. I would LOVE to go every time I eat but I don't... and figured I would benefit from this service. I even had suspicion that certain foods I regularly eat aren't conducive with my gut. THIS WAS EYE OPENING!!! I did some research and saw Ms. Marie had fantastic reviews... one of the best and COMFORTING around actually, so we decided to drive 1.5 hours down south to see her. She's worth every mile, [traffic] jam (haha!) and penny. CENTER: Ms. Marie is a registered RN on top of being certified to operate this colonic hydrotherapy machine. She operates this center in the basement of her house but it has a separate entry (back of the house) with a bathroom, two treatment rooms and waiting/sitting area with TV/couches. We read about this before we came in so it wasn't a shock to us. OPERATION: I can't even begin putting it into words how comforting, patient and nurturing Ms. Marie was with me. I would not even want to work on someone like me... she definitely has a good heart and the best interest of her clients in mind. At one point, maybe TMI, but I wanted to CRYYY so bad, she held me in her arms, massaged me... We left adopting her as our second mom :) Without going much into detail, let's say that I was shocked at what I have in my gut... and still probably do. It makes you become more aware of what you're putting inside your stomach ... that's for sure. I will definitely be coming back! I'm not sure why more people don't do this... especially when you're younger, think you eat right, etc. This is a MUST do a year thing if you care about your body. A friend and I visited Ms. Marie for colon cleansing. The facility is at her home with a separate entrance which is clearly designated for her business. She was very welcoming of my friend and I during our first visit. She thoroughly explained the process to us both and told us what to expect. If something wasn't clear, she was very open to responding to our questions and making us feel comfortable during the process. I even inquired about the negative review on this site to which she calmly provided her perspective. The rooms were clean and there was calming music playing when we entered. We were shown the equipment and how the process worked. We had the ability to "view" the outcome (if you get what I mean). I also got the liver/galbladder cleanse which was a mixture of a variety of heated essential oils targeted to detox the area and must be prepared before you arrive. I encourage you to do your research first so you know what you're getting and what to expect. Ms. Marie has her credentials posted and available for you to view prior to (or after if you choose) getting the procedure done. If you have allergies, sensitivities or whatever, this should definitely be a discussion BEFORE you go and BEFORE you sign any paperwork to have a procedure done of any caliber. I chose to have a more holistic, herbal approach to my cleanse and appreciated that there was no harsh chemicals used during the process. While it was a bit more costly than I expected, I will say that you get what you pay for. When we left, we both felt great and my friend lost 5 pounds (there's a scale in the rooms) in 45 minutes. We were given an orange immune booster (maybe Emergen-C) afterwards to replenish electrolytes and we were on our way. One thing I"ll caution is that Ms. Marie will be in your room checking on you and making sure you're ok (especially if it's your first visit) so that you can get the best bang for your buck. While this was not uncomfortable for ME, you'd want to make sure that you are aware of that. She's not touching you or assisting in positioning of the equipment. She's guiding you and checking on your throughout your cleanse. Again, if you have questions or concerns, I felt very comfortable. read more

My husband and I both came to Ms. Marie b/c I saw a YouTube video of the procedure and searched for one in my area. To my surprise she is only a few miles from me. However, I was more impressed by her Google star ratings of 5 Stars! Let me tell you, she deserves them all. The atmosphere feels so relaxing, cozy and inviting. She is very professional, informative, knowledgeable and all around caring. I recommend her especially for your first experience but even after for your subsequent visits. It's hard not to love her. We received the Super Cleanse. I was all too happy to rid my body of all those toxins, after the holidays and before family vacation next week. After my experience in her home, I know I prefer this environment over a cold business office. My husband and I received customized services for each of our own personal needs. AMAZING EXPERIENCE! MS. MARIE IS THE BEST! I had been wanting to try this for some time. Knowing that I would be traveling from New Orleans to Fredericksburg for business and I would have some time after work, I researched colonic hydrotherapy businesses in the area and found The HoIistic Colon Hydrotherapy Center. When I arrived, I was greeted by Ms. Marie Alphonse - owner/operator. She was extremely calming and welcoming. Her studio is operated from her lovely home located in a beautiful neighborhood. There is a separate entrance which opens to a spacious waiting area where you will complete your paperwork. Before we began the procedure Ms. Marie asked me about my diet and described the process in complete detail. There was no pain. I felt lighter. I also had an unbelievable amount of energy afterwards. It was an incredible experience. If anyone is going to get this procedure done for the first time, they must go to Ms. Marie. I had a 60 min colon hydrotherapy visit last week. Actually, it was the "Super Cleanse," as the owner advertises...which was described to me as not only the colon hydrotherapy, but a "liver and galbladder cleanse." When I asked her how she intended to cleanse my liver and gallbladder (as I have done several liver/gallbladder flushes over the years, per the instructions of Dr. Andy Moritz), she was somewhat wishy washy and mentioned using oils. What it turned out to be was placing castor oil-soaked cloth over my midsection during a portion of the hydrotherapy session...not at all what I had in mind, and certainly not grounds to jack up the price to triple what it would have cost otherwise (this service cost her *maybe* $5!)! I ended up paying $165 whereas the standard back home in Michigan was $60...in a spa setting, not in someone's basement. I felt very taken advantage of because I was very sick with a headache and digestive issues at the time, which she was aware of. It gets better. So I enter the room where the hydrotherapy machine is (which again was a cold room in her basement), and there's a tub of white petroleum. I explained to the owner that I do not use petroleum because it is a derivative of oil (hence...petro!), and would much prefer either coconut or olive oil. Somehow this offended her immensely...the look on her face said it all. I further explained that I've had dozens of colon hydrotherapy appts over the years and have always used coconut oil. Further, I do not use any products on my skin (or especially not inside of my body!) that I would not ingest. She stormed out of the room with the jar of petroleum and returned after a few minutes, explaining that she would not be giving me an alternative to the petroleum because I "might have a reaction." I explained that I put coconut oil on my skin daily, on top of cooking with it, to which her response was, "well that's just what you're telling me"...basically calling me a liar. And mind you, I had already signed her stack of waiver forms! At this point I would have stormed out had I not felt so awful at the time, so I stuck with it (regretably). But after a good 20 or so mins of back-and-forth, rude and condescending attitude toward me and tears streaming down my face, I agreed to proceed with the treatment without an alternative to the petroleum. Talk about uncomfortable! I walked out of the session with a full blown migraine and still shaken over the interaction. Needless to say, I'll be sticking to coffee enemas at home moving forward. This woman is on a money-hungry power trip and does NOT have her clients' best interests at heart. read more

I cannot say enough about Ms. Marie and Holistic Colon Hydrotherapy Center. I had been feeling sluggish and bloated so I decided to FINALLY do something about it. I sent an email via the website, and Ms. Marie contacted immediately. She is very open and is a great communicator. I had always heard how colon hydrotherapy works, but Ms. Marie took the time to explain everything step by step. She gave me the ingredients for the prep (not mandatory, but definitely helps "move things along"),and made me feel comfortable and at ease during the entire process. I have now had two sessions with Ms. Marie (I highly recommend at least three to get started), and plan to see her for monthly "maintenance". It is well worth it. A friend suggested I try a colon cleanse. They recommended Holistic Colon Hydrotherapy with Ms. Marie Alphonse. They have been going to her for some time. I have to admit I was extremely skeptical. I had never had one and I was nervous, but I tried it anyway. It was uncomfortable in the beginning but I was impressed with how comfortable Ms. Marie made me feel. She helped me to relax and she was extremely professional and very knowledgeable. Her care to attention and detailed explanation of what I was to expect and how the procedure worked was top notch. I have a daughter who is not yet a teenager, who has been complaining for months about her stomach hurting and I had taken her to doctor after doctor, who only wanted to put a bandage on it and give her medication. After speaking with Ms. Marie about her condition, she recommended I speak to my daughter's doctor again and explain this procedure and get a prescription for her to have the procedure done. I am happy to say I did. It was a challenge to get my daughter started but she also wanted to do it in hopes of feeling better. Ms. Marie explained everything to her in full detail and she held her hand all the way. She was extremely patient with my daughter and in the end, my daughter was very happy she had the procedure done. She said she felt like a new kid and it was the best she felt in a long time. A family friend highly recommended I go to Holistic Colon Hydrotherapy Center while visiting Virginia on a house hunting trip. I was very impressed by the facility including the FDA-approved Angel of Water Surround device (the "Mercedes Benz" of hydrotherapy equipment) as well as Ms. Marie's professionalism, knowledge, patience, and care. I have previously done hydrotherapy in California and the overall experience at Holistic Colon Hydrotherapy Center was significantly better. My previous hydrotherapy experience involved hydrotherapy equipment that was older and a closed system unlike Ms. Marie's "Mercedes Benz" which was initially painful and does not allow for as deep a cleaning. Mrs. Marie's website is great but you will have trouble accessing the full content from a mobile device (it requires Adobe Flash to be installed) or on a MacBook (does not work on the Safari or Chrome browser but I was able to view the full website after installing the Firefox browser). read more
