One thing that could be improved is the color choosing process - a lot of the color options were mixed in together and it was hard to read the number on some of them, which happened in my case and I ended up getting a color slightly different than what I had found in the bin. The shop was comfortable and busy the whole time I was there, which says something about a place. Everyone was very nice and many people came in requesting "June," so she seems like a good popular choice if you are looking to book with someone specific. I found LD Nails after searching for a nail salon that's open on Sunday. I've been coming to them for two years, my longest relationship with a nail salon ever because I'm extremely picky! They do great work, the wait can be a little long so I recommend making an appointment or arriving as soon as they open. I'd be lying if I said every manicure I've gotten here was perfect. A newer tech gave me a really bad polish job and the owner went out of her way to fix it herself. She truly wants every client to leave happy and is just a sweetheart and so talented. I know my feet are ugly! Anywho... I just went today to get my toes done, just the shellac polish. They're super busy, I'm assuming it's because it is Sunday. The lady was rushing with everything, she used a drill and it felt like she was going to cut me (she didn't though) but overall she was moving very fast. I probably should have said something but I was nervous and they were talking in their language and I felt like they were talking about my toes and how ugly they looked lol. But I'm not sure why she needed to be so rough and fast but all to their own I guess. It was a nice place, they had the film plastic wall things for Covid precaution. The tools that they used to cut my toe nails and the drill bit, I'm not sure if it's very sanitary since she put it right back in her drawer and didn't clean anything but it could just be me. She polished my toes at the desk area and was grabbing my foot/leg a little hard but again I'm not sure if it's just me being 'picky,' I don't really think they should be going hard and rushing, regardless if they're busy or not. I didn't get her name unfortunately, overall my toes look fine it was a very basic ordeal. I just wish it would have been a less aggressive (if that's what you would call it) experience. read more

I wish I could give this place negative stars. I came here because this was near my best friends house, and she normally goes to this salon. For starters, I didn't even get to choose my color. The whole time I was contemplating and looking at the shellac colors the employee was standing over me and grabbing everyone i pointed out to my bestfriend. I said one was cute, and he took it and grabbed me as if I was taking too long to choose. He ended up putting one of the colors on my nails that I really didn't want, just was a suggestion to my friend. I know it is my bad for not saying anything here. Next, I got the most rushed manicure of my life. No hand massage, no cuticle trimming, and no water soaks. I got a file down and a polish. that is it. Lastly, THE WORST PART. the manicurist destroyed my nails. This was the most uneven manicure I have ever received. This place was ok. Conveniently located in a strip mall. Overall good price on mani and pedi combo except that value goes down hill when they actually provide the service. I attempted to make small talk as I always go to make time pass by a bit better and my tech was unresponsive not that she couldn't talk she was just very un-engaging. I made an appointment for me and my friend for her 30th surprise party that evening. We arrived a few minutes before 4pm our appt. time and we did not get sat for about 20 mins. There is quite a confusion with shellac/gel and the up-charge of $35 to $55 for regular polish to shellac is ABSURD! You can purchase a whole set color and top coat of the original shellac polish for $25. They aren't using a whole bottle between toes and hands. Not to mention MOST SALONS use nail polish remover when it gets to the end of the bottle to stretch its use. I opted to have regular polish I wasn't interested in paying the up-charge for an extra week of wear. The water was warm and my tech did use the pumice to remove dead skin, lotion after and hot stones. But it was extremely basic, no real effort was put into it. My toes were painted so quick and I didn't even get a second coat of color. I'm not surprised though. I was moved to the manicure section and although my friend and her tech both started at the same time her tech definitely took her time with her because she didn't even join me for manicure for about 5-7 minutes. My manicure water was uncomfortably low, I struggled soaking my hands. I had also tried to engage in small talk yet again but just got a quick smile and thank you. This made me realize she was just in a hurry and I was just another $20 bill. My tech didn't even ask me what shape I wanted she just squared me off, I'm more of an oval gal myself. I didn't say anything because she wasn't welcoming AT ALL. She cut my cuticles quickly, filed, polished and my nails were done within 5 minutes. No frills here just business. Waited to get my ticket to pay and if you pay by credit card your forced to tip $10 as that is their minimum. All tips should be cash. But this was not made clear on their Yelp page or when I called to book the appointment. I didn't bring cash so my friend spotted whatever left over cash she had to my tech. Sorry not sorry that rush shotty Job did not warrant a $10 tip! This place served its purpose of killing time for the big surprise reveal later that night. Ken did my gel manicure and regular pedicure and he was amazing! Extremely meticulous. I called before I went in to make sure they weren't too busy, and 15 mins later I was seated in a chair having a super relaxing mani/pedi. The whole service only took about an hour. Worst pedicure I ever got was from here. The girl talked so much to the other co workers and was not good at doing her job at the same time. She barely massaged me when she rubbed me, just slapped the lotion on and went up and down. I will never go back to LD NAILS! The nail techs never sanitize their stations between clients, each station has a build up of old polish and other residue from previous clients and the plastic shields are stained with old polish. The most horrible thing I experienced was when the Nail Tech cleaned under my toenails and wiped the dead skin on my foot . I was shocked and lost for words! Not even 1 star - this place is terrible!!!!! They got acrylic product all over my daughter's brand new Lululemon leggings and took absolutely no responsibility for it!!! LD Nails is legit. Sure... it's not the most luxurious nail salon. Its pretty basic and there doesn't seem to be anything special about them that stands out. But the service and the nail work that is done is where they shine. I can have my shellac on my nails for 3 weeks and there still won't be any chips or lifts. They layer it just right so that its on there for the long run, which I love. I usually go during my lunch break and they get me in and out of there really fast (I hiughly suggest making an appointment ahead of time as they can get busy). I've just started going to this salon and had shellac done for the first time. My first visit was wonderful, my friend and I made an appointment but still had to wait quite a while which was fine since we weren't in a rush and the guy who did my nails was very nice. He did a fantastic job and I was completely sold on shellac. My second visit I went as a walk in and waited an hour. A girl did my nails and I felt like she was maybe new because she rushed through my nails, accidentally cut my thumb nail and had to use a fake nail to fix it. She also didn't put enough polish on and you could see my nail through the color, it should have had another coat. Also something was on my pinky nail when she finished and there was a spot because of it. I wish I had asked the first guy who did my nails his name so I could specifically request him, my friend had the same girl another time and had the same not so great experience. I visited this location for the first time today, and it wasn't too bad. I'd called about 3 hours in advanced and set an appointment. When I walked in, I was pretty much in the chair right away. I asked for a pedicure and a manicure with shellac. The young woman that helped me (Jamie) found the matching shellac to my toe nail polish (it was the perfect match, a very pretty yellow) and started my service. The pedicure honestly wasn't what I expected. I felt as if she did a lot of rubbing my legs, she didn't really focus on my feet...especially the heel where my skin is a little rougher. She was nice and made sure to adjust the water to a warmer temperature for me when I asked. The manicure was wonderfully done. I really like the way my fingers look. All in all, I guess I can say that I'm satisfied. As soon as I walked in the house, my husband complimented me so that felt good. I'm so sad I have to give this a 1 star rating. I love how they do my nails, my shellac has never lasted longer. However, about a week ago I went and got my nails done. The guy who was doing them kept looking up to see what was going on around the salon (I believe he's the owner) he was scraping underneath my nail and poked me. It didn't bleed or even hurt. Fast forward 3 days and my finger started to throb. After thinking of what could've happened I remembered the poke! The following day I woke up with a swollen throbbing finger, I'm also pregnant so didn't want to risk infection so I went to my doctor. He examined and it's definitely infected. Here is what it looks like today (6 days later) I'm hoping I can clear the infection myself so I don't have to go on antibiotics! Horrible horrible! We will never return. The guy asked me if I wanted my nails cut, I said no. He proceeded to file all of my nails off. Another lady took over bc she could see I was upset. My daughter was done w her manicure, they sent her to dry. I looked at them when I got up to wash my hands & it looked like I did the manicure. My lady said they would redo them bc she agreed that it looked so bad. I got a mani and pedi for a fair price. Foot massage was awesome! They used hot stones and warm towels but it went south with the mani. The lady cut my ring finger and tried to make it seem like I already had a cut. I got shellac and it chipped after the first week and now it's starting to peel approaching the 3rd week.
