I got my nails done here yesterday by the old man who I think is the owner. He was rushing and being pretty rough with my nails. Every other minute I was saying "oww" and flinching because of the pain. now my nails are pretty sore. I have also never seen a set of acrylic nails look more horrible than mine do. Not one nail is straight or even. They are all a different length. They are extremely short. They are all clumpy and I am just so disappointed. There is no shine and there are scratches all over my nails. I get pedicures here and I am always pleased but the older man has never helped me. I would advise not to get acrylic nails by him. read more

I was looking for a new place to get my nails done, I just moved to Oakdale and wanted to stay within my community. I friend recommended I try them, but was disappointed... first of all when I called for pricing I was told one price and when it came time to pay it was $20 more than what I had been told. I was left with a lot of acrylic all over my fingers (this had never happened anywhere before). My thumb nails are two totally different sizes!! On top of it all my right middle finger has a huge chip on the polish after only six days.. I will not be going back. read more

I would not recommend getting acrylics here if you want your nails to stay looking pretty and shiny... I went in last Thursday (less than a week ago) and got acrylics with dark red polish. They looked great... at first. Then barely 2-3 days later they started chipping and are no longer shiny at all. I'm extremely disappointed. Probably one of the worst pedicures I've had. He seemed rushed and didn't even really scrub my feet. Caked the nail polish on super thick and didn't even completely cover my toe nail on my big toe. 25 dollars for something I could of done myself. Not impressed and won't be going back. First time here, but I would go back. I tried to go to a different salon across the street first, but the blast of chemicals smell was too much. However, this salon smells great when you walk in, they were able to take me for a pedicure right away, it includes a hot stone rub, and it was very relaxing. My toes look great! read more

Absolutely love this nail salon! The owner and his wife both work there every day, and are the sweetest people to every customer. They always have plenty of staff, and are open Saturdays and Sundays, even most holidays. Stay open late, and rarely turn customers away, always taking walk ins. Plenty of great nail colors to choose from in regular, gel/shellac polishes, and acrylic. Great pedicures too, and they always do complimentary hot rock massage with them. A+ customer service! This is the only place I come in the Central Valley area to get my nails done anymore. I've had Lee and Don do my nails for years now, and I am always 100% happy about how they look and feel. They have a variety of different options for manicures and pedicures, but it is all reasonable pricing and friendly service. They are very gentle with their work. Even my mom who has incredible foot pain is able to not only get pedicures but enjoy them. Definitely my favorite place to get my nails done! read more

I tried this nail salon a couple of weeks ago for the first time and I just went back again today. I recommend them. They're in the SaveMart shopping center where Valley First CU used to be. Their facility is quiet, relaxing and very clean. Their equipment is all new. I think they opened 10 months ago. The basic pedicure is $25, which includes a leg and foot massage, hot rock treatment and then they wrap your legs in hot towels. (It doesn't come with the gel scrub.) I'm giving a two star review not because of the nail salon but because of the person who did my pedicure. AVOID going to the older lady with the black glasses, dark brown hair in a sideswept ponytail. This employee was VERY RUDE PERIOD. After she finished cutting and filing my toes, I pointed out how the toe nail was pointed on one side. She looked a little bothered to have to refile it but she did. She looked at me when she was done filing it, impatiently waiting for me to say it was okay. I felt she was already being a little rude and I didn't want to offend her more so I looked at it quickly and said it was okay. I didn't realize how slanted the nail still was until she put on the first coat of nail polish. I stopped her as she painted the toe nail and I told her it was slanted. she waved my hand away and continued with her work. At this point I thought is she going to fix it when she is done painting my nails? but i thought that was odd. She continued painting my nails all the while ignoring how slanted that nail was. When she was done painting my nails she looked at me and told me she was done.thats when I became more assertive and aggravated. I pointed to the same toe nail and told her it was slanted. I had to bend down and show her with my fingers gesturing that it's slanted and It needed to be straight (gesturing straight w my fingers). And keep in mind this pedicure is costing me $25 and with a tip $30. I am not one to complain about little things because the other toe nail was slightly slanted as well but on this toe it was obvious. She now looked irritated, snatched her basket of filing tools towards her, meanwhile saying something in her language to her coworker and began to cut the toe on the shorter side! The toe nail is slanted, don't cut the side that is already too short!! That's when I grabbed her hands and pushed them away and told her no! At this point I was about to stop her and tell the man who greeted me when I walked into the salon, that I needed someone else to finish. She got back to filing the longer side down and began to make the toe nail look straight so then I sat back and let her finish. Truthfully this was the WORST experience at a nail salon. I hope this employee changes her attitude and behavior because it reflects negatively on this salon. read more

I've tried several other nail salons in Oakdale just because they were closer to my house, but finally tried LD Nails and couldn't be happier that I did! It was very clean, tastefully decorated, and there were enough employees working that I got right in. They have a good selection of name brand polish (a lot of places use off brands that don't last as long.) The woman who did my pedicure was thorough, careful and precise, and the hot rock massage was wonderful! I can't remember the last time I've had a pedicure that good, especially for 25.00. Nice atmosphere and staff was polite. But bottom line, I want a pedicure that looks good and a nice massage. Massage was pretty much non-existent and when I got home I realized I had paint on the skin of 8 toes and not just a little bit. To top it off it was more expensive the most places. This place charged me $35 for the worst manicure I've ever had. I got white gel and glitter, and the gel cracked within a few days and a week later I had no gel on about 3 or 4 nails. Worst place ever. Any other place would have been better than here. I even told a co worker I had got my nails done here and her response was omg no! I wish she would have warned me. read more

The most horrible place I have ever been to. The old man with the glasses hurt me so much. I have cuts everywhere. My nails look so horrible. They are un even, some filed too short, and worst of all the gel is stuck to my flesh. He finished my nails in 20 min due to him rushed to help others and answering the phone. My seat was taken from me and finished my nails standing. Believe it or not I got only clear no color or anything for 30$. I will drive far and will never go there. I've been there twice...and are consistantly quite clean which is huge. It shows integrity. Good job on the polishes as well, but I feel like I do not get my value. They are approximately 5 dollars higher on pedicures than other similar places , and the service is less thorough. It probably depends on who you get , but I have had only a "rub in " of the lotions, not even a short massage of the feet and calves. Disappointing. Upon speaking up politely, they did not meet my needs either. Very polite people which is great, but will not return now do to the value of the service rendered. read more

I don't really see what everyone else is raving about. I went in yesterday to get a pedicure, which I rarely do but since I'm pregnant and can't reach my feet anymore, I decided to treat myself. Despite my telling the woman that I didn't want her to clip my nails or dig into the corners of my nails, she did it anyway and just smiled at me when I said she was hurting me, it was just all around unpleasant and not relaxing at all. I have super sore nails today that feel like they're ingrown. The tools she used also didn't seem sterile like they do at other salons, they weren't packaged or anything.
