Prefer ceviche with onions and lemon juice. Yucca & fries was dry. Steak was average at best but the rice and the beans were horrible! The rice had a burnt taste. We will never go back. Went here on a Friday night with my friend to catch up. It was a great time. The waiter was so nice. He told us what drinks were good and was attentive. The food does not take that long to be made. It was super good and a big portion. One plate can almost fill two people. The rice was so good and the chicken was nice and juicy. I put the ketchup mayo sauce on it and it was so good. Came here with my wife for a late night dinner. 1st time here and it will be the my last time. We both ordered the Bandeja Paisa. I was only able to eat half of my plate. The steak was fatty and too chewy to digest. The sausage looked like it was cooked yesterday and re-heated. The Maduros were not ripe to eat and the chicharron looked liked the chef ate half of it and gave me the rest. I got sick to my stomach when I got home. I will not come back here again. read more

Great Food, that is Sometimes!! But when ordering for delivery, I have experienced missing items, wrong orders, and even over charging by drivers. When we call the restaurant to complain the staff gives you a half (you know what) apology and no solution to the matter or even a refund for missing items and suddenly the drivers last delivery before going home is always mine? And can't get my missing order sent to me, very Interesting to say the least. The food is awesome when prepared with care but the service, missing items, and responses from Drivers and Staff make you feel like it's your fault! While visiting family, they took us to this Colombian spot in Elizabeth, NJ. The restaurant is a house and the bottom is converted in the restaurant. It's small but gives it that mom n pop feel. Even though it is small, it was pretty packed through out the night but it was flowing so it doesn't feel cramped or anything. We started off with some appetizers and drinks. We got passion fruit margaritas. They were very tasty and I LOVED the presentation! The wrapper of the straw was twisted all the way around the straw and inside the glass had one of those ice cubes with LED lights. It was a nice touch. For appetizer we got tostones (fried plantains) topped with shredded meat and shrimp. It was good however I wasn't a big fan of the sauce that it was on and there was only one shrimp on each and they were small. For the main dish I had Pabellón Criollo which is white rice, shredded pork, sweet plantains and fried egg. It was really good! I mixed everything together and it really hit the spot for me. Everyone else got one meat platter which they all shared that was filled with all kinds of meats. Sausage, ribs, chicken, pork, beef, corn on the cob, arepas, and yuca. The cool thing was that it came in this little grill with coal on the both which kept the food warm. It served 4 adults and one child and they still had left overs. He is in front of the house and is extremely attentive and very helpul recommending his favorite dishes from the menu. 3.5 stars. Came here during Colombian independence on the 20th and luckily found a table right away. The place is slightly cramped, but the ambiance is casual, relaxed, and friendly. My mother came across this place a couple of months ago and has been back a few times for apps and drinks. There were 3 of us and we ordered a parillada to share. This $30 dish was enough to satisfy the 3 of us. We ordered a whole fried fish as well which was pretty good. But the parillada was pretty tasty. It is an assortment of grilled meats (chicken, pork and beef ribs, skirt steak, sausage, morcilla (blood sausage) and also corn and baby fingerling potatoes. Great family restaurant in the daytime ! Wide windows to view out the restaurant while waiting for your food. Friendly Spanish waitresses who attended me in an accurate matter. I never felt an abandonment or felt uncared for. I ordered breaded steak, it was cooked just right! It wasn't over-cooked and I loved how crunchy it was! They have also have a delicious potatoe salad and great empanadas ! -couldn't get enough of those ! My water remained full my plate was taken away as soon as I finished and the deserts were so delicious ! Great place to bring the kids and friends new to the area. I'm giving this place 2 stars because the waiter was very nice and attentive. The food was OK. I ordered a arepas with chicken and it was way off from the traditional arepas. I didn't enjoy my food. The mango mojoito was very refreshing and nice. Then I ordered a passion fruit sangria I didn't like it as much. My husband had the ceviche which was pretty good but they use way too much ketchup or what ever sauce they use it was a little too much and took away the flavors. Before we paid I was so curious about the light they use for the drinks that I took one out to see. That's when I got disgusted. You can tell it's been used many times on different drinks. Im from Miami but also a Colombian so I was looking for some good Colombian food, I looked up Leños on google and decided on it from the 100 Colombian restaurants in this area, I ordered a sancocho de res and was disappointed that it pretty much felt like I was having yuca soup at this moment I was about to have a fit but we had also ordered 2 bandeja paisas and when those things came in I knew at this very moment that we made the right choice, the bandejas were great very large and very tasty. We were able to share 2 bandejas with 4 ppl and even had leftovers and the flavor was amazing I highly recommend going to this restaurant just for the bandeja paisa which was also fairly priced. read more

Delicious food BUT bad service. I have frequent the place BUT lately the Servers have an attitude & not friendly at all. On a recent visit I wasn't greeted & tried to get the servers attention twice. 20 minutes later the server finally brought the menu. In addition, they automatically include the tip in the total bill regardless of the number of guests. No other restaurant does this. I had a meal at Leno's yesterday. The service was not good. I have been at this restaurant before and the service was better. I ordered chicken and pork ribs. The waitress knew that I wanted a glass of water with the strawberry drink. However, she brought my strawberry drink and I had to remind her to bring me the glass of water. She acted as if I was imposing. I had fries with my meal. I did not have ketchup. When I tried to get the attention of the waitress, she ignored me. I had to raise my voice to ask for ketchup and the waitress acted as if I was doing something wrong. The waitress did not return to see if everything was okay. I noticed something about the food that I did not like. The Hispanic people waited to have fresh food served to them. My food was served more quickly but I felt that my food was not freshly made. Eventually, I was given a foam take out plate and bag to take food home. Obviously, the waitress knew that I had finished my meal. I had to tell the waiter that I was waiting for the bill. I will not return. I am disappointed in Leno's service and food. read more
