We started with a pair of cocktails, a slightly Canadian twist on classics. A smoked Old Fashioned with Canadian Rye and Maple vs simple syrup, and a Mule with a local gin. Both were delicious and mixed expertly. Appetizers were sized to share, and the beet salad is not to be missed. Beet salad was nicely balanced with a little pickle to balance the sweet, and local bread had a great toast to support their antipasto. We decided to split the Pork Belly and Hanger Steak, and the bartender/co-owneer was kind enough to suggest it as a coursing. The pork belly was cooked perfectly, then finished with a crispy sear to bring some bite instead of the usual mush. And the steak...seasoned and solidly medium-rare with a foamed cheddar sauce that was absolutely unique. All of that paired with a bottle from Plot, a true Canadian find of red blend that was deep and complex and had us asking where we could buy it. Unfortunately, it was a private import, so all the more reason to visit. Finish the night with a "the only one in Quebec" pour of Armagnac from a crazy 10L bottle and you have a completely memorable dinner that will likely be the hightlight of our trip to Montreal. If you're remotely in the area, this is a not-to-be-missed spot!

Well, over the last month I have officially tried everything on their menu and they have not disappointed me once. Their menu is unique to the S-A-d-B boardwalk and there is something for everybody. They also have a very nice private import wine selection to choose from. They have a twists on classic cocktails as well. The last time we were there we had a glass of white wine each with 2 dozen fresh oysters, then enjoyed a shared bottle of red wine with a watermelon salad (super yummy and different), and a beef tartar. We finished the evening with a cheese plate. Yes, we were more than filled, but the food is so good. The cheese plate was the perfect finish. We even heard two elderly ladies sitting across from us exclaim that they enjoyed their cheese plate too, as they almost licked the plater clean. ;-) Final say: The food, wine, staff, and the view were all excellent. For what my word is worth, a must go to.

We…read morewent on a weekday and that made a big difference as there was plenty of parking and seats available! It's a quaint little restaurant nestled close to the bord du lac. There's parking in the parking lot but also street parking. We got there and were seated right away. They had lots of choices for food! We went with a taco and cauliflower appetizer. We had the poutine mexicaine which was amazing! The fries were curly fries that gave the dish a nice touch. For the main meal we had the Lyon hamburger which was absolutely delicious. They had plenty of drinks non alcoholic and alcoholic. Overall a great place for a girls night, date night or even lunch out with the kids!

Let's talk about the Mexican Poutine which is the one I picked - it's like a fiesta in your mouth! There's crispy curly fries and they loaded them up with nacho cheese and the freshest local curd cheese you ever did taste. And then, hold the phone, they've topped it all off with nacho cheese, tomatoes, bacon, and spicy peppers. A dollop of sour cream with a hint of cilantro brings it all together! Now, the Portuguese Poutine is on the new menu and its spicy chicken, peppers, and onions, and let me tell you,it's not super spicy so you'll be okay but the flavors were all there. The vibe of this place? Imagine snagging one of those big circle patio chairs by the water, sipping your Stewart's, and eating your poutine with the wind in your hair haha - talk about the ultimate summer vibes While other folks were at regular tables or picnic spots, I was living my best life tucked away under a tree beside the water. And hey, even on a Wednesday, this place was super busy!
