I first went to Groupon and ordered me a Brazilian wax voucher for the beauty bar. Then I called to make me a appointment the next day after the voucher was sent to my email. The lady currently told me that she don't do the Groupon vouchers but she do offer a discount to Groupon users and told me the price so I set up my appointment and when I went in for my appointment the day she set it up for the service was fast of course Brazilian wax hurts, but it was indeed a good experience. I had brazilian wax on Wed. I used to get it regularly until I moved. Decided to start again and made an appt with a voucher from groupon. Briana called me a few times to postpone the appointment saying she wasn't feeling good, even like 5hrs before the appointment. But it was okay. That could happen. BUT I HAVE REALLY BAD FOLLICULITIS after having the waxing here. She said she has 25years of experience. It was fast but hurted so much compared to other places I had tbh. The area was red and burning even until two days after. I could tell something was wrong and had aloe gel with antibiotic cream twice a day, but it kept getting worse & ended up becoming very itchy and painful from folliculitis. Never had this kind of issue before. My skin is not sensitive. My hair is considered thin. I heard that from many people including her, Briana. I am doubting that things weren't clean/sanitized enough to cause an infection. I would never comeback or recommend to anyone. read more

DONT COME HERE! I usually don't leave reviews but this was bad. I went in for a stomach and back wax, the service was very unprofessional, she never instructed me on how I should undress or position myself for the service, she just said to lay on the bed so I had to figure it out myself. The service was rushed and rough, I was uncomfortable the entire time. She said she's been doing this for years but the stuff she was using seemed cheap and she had no gloves. After she asked me to redeem the last coupon I had so she could get paid early for a trip she had coming up. I was uncomfortable at that point so I did it. I broke out alllll over my back and it didn't go away for MONTHS. I decided I didn't wanna go back to her after such a bad experience so I requested a refund just for the service I never received and Groupon said she denied it, she called me herself saying she would give me a refund, and when I didn't receive it I called her and she sounded annoyed and said she would call Groupon the next day. I still haven't received it. I wish I just went somewhere else it's probably the worst wax experience I've ever had, and I've had tons of waxes done in my life. I found Monica at Le Beauty Bar on Groupon after I purchased a voucher for a haircut and style. I looked at her yelp reviews, found her Instagram, and was pretty excited about having her work on my hair. I noticed that she mentioned call or text for appointments on her Instagram so I texted her in early January to get an appointment. However to be honest, I was fairly disappointed with her slower responses. I understand that she may have been with clients, or had time off or whatever but she was responding half a day after and I wasn't sure if she had seen the messages to begin with. I was trying to be patient and should have just called but it took like two full days to finally agree on a date. But yeah, we set up the appt and she let me know that it'd be an extra 10 dollars for longer hair. When it came the day of the appointment, I got off work early and rushed over. I walked into the shop, maybe a few minutes earlier and Monica had just finished eating. She had immediately told me to hold on. I was going to let her do her her thing but I wanted to ask if I could use the restroom first..but I felt weird/rude not introducing myself so I did that but she said hold on again..so it just felt like an awkward first meeting. I did not want to seem pushy but it was really not to a good start. After using the restroom, Monica was waiting outside to get me shampooed. I tried to make small talk with her but she gave short answers and did not seem to want to talk. I'm not sure if that's how she works since most people may like to work silently but at this point, I was just confused because for once, I felt uncomfortable like she didn't like me from the start. She shampooed my hair and we walked over to her chair. I was able to show her up some reference pictures as I was going for a more drastic change -from long hair to a lob a little past my shoulders. She was patient in the haircutting process, consistently checked with me with the length and layers that she was taking off. I did notice though that were times when I would say something and she would correct me, but other than that she took her time with my cut. When she finished up, she added some product to my hair and was able to give me some nice curls. I paid the remaining amount and tip in cash. I ended up giving her 4 stars for this review due to the quality of her work. However, I literally just felt like I was just another "Groupon client." If I didn't feel such coldness from her, I'd consider going back to get my haircut from her. read more

VERY RUDE. The owner has a terrible attitude. I do not recommend anyone to go here. I scheduled an appointment online and I was told no promotions can be used for online booking. I wanted to use a Groupon for my service since this was my first time, I also booked other services over the phone with her. I called to see if I could apply it to my current appointment I booked over the phone the previous day. She told me NO and that it was stated in the fine print. I checked the fine print and no where did it say I can't use an Groupon towards a phone appointment. I told her it wasn't mentioned there and she fought me, got upset, and yelled to me "YOU KNOW WHAT GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!" and then angrily HUNG UP ON ME. I couldn't believe it. I have never dealt with anyone SO unprofessional. It is completely uncalled for and rude to hang up on anyone... I am writhing this review to show others how this business owner treats her clients. You be the judge, would you want someone like this waxing you? I definitely wouldn't be comfortable coming here at all. Do yourself a favor and don't go either. I am shocked and unbelievable. It is first time rating any store and it will be my last time rating one star ( is too much tbh). I have scheduled an appointment for waxing yesterday(wednesday) at 2:30. Since I am a male, they had informed me that there will be extra cost. I totally understood and was glad to pay. I just wanted to have a good time with my girlfriend during the trip and actually this js the place where my gf recommended. So I had confirmed my appointment at 2:30 and scheduled my other appointments as well based on that. However, things start to get messy. On 10:14 thursday, a message from here came saying: "Good morning what time are u avail tmrw, Friday?" I was like huh? what is this even mean so I replied isn't 2:30 today? then she just suddenly answered: "I am sorry can't do today" without any explanation or apology. I was shocked how they treat their customers and appointments. After I expressed frustration and annoyances, she now then explained that she felt sick this morning. What the actual f. I can understand that you might feel bad and if it was severe you must have explained the situation first and apologize but not simply sending "I cant do".So eventually I had to search other stores and had to reschedule my other appointments and had to get a refund by myself of course cause I got the ticket from groupon app and everything due to this awesome store. Updated; from 1 to 4 stars see below when edit starts; Purchased a groupon in hopes of finding a place a little closer to home, for more frequent visits for my favorites (facials/microderm!) However, after leaving two very polite, and excitable text messages, even asking about addons, or doing both facial and micro, or what it all included, I also within a weeks time later left voicemail and called twice. I have still yet to receive a response back from the owner in setting up an appointment. Kind of frustrating, all I wanted was to try this place out- Makes me feel like I did something wrong, but all I ever did was purchase a groupon, and try to get a booked appointment. Shocked that others say it was easy to book an appointment, the website says call or text their scheduler online program isnt working. I canceled my groupon today with a refund, because maybe shes so busy she cant find time to set an appointment and should hire a secretary. All in all it showed me a lack or care or concern for my business as a client my word of mouth, and myself can go elsewhere... Im writing this in hopes that the business does look at this and improves their scheduling, and even responses, its just rude to be EDIT; Im glad Bryana checks Yelp, and groupon, I really appreciate her taking the time to "make things right". It did take around 3 weeks for contact back, but speaking to her in person she explained that her phone systems are connected and went down one day, so everything got messed up, but I had called multiple days in a week with still no answer. I suppose the way to get an appointment here is truly by leaving a voicemail. Also the scheduling didnt seem too flexible she was extremely firm on the date, so I just rolled with it- I just wanted to get in and give them a try. She also expressed how she honours her groupon pricing, but often times gives clients what they need rather than what they purchased, a more personalized service. I also was a bit weary of some of the procedures she did though, my face is still healing from the dermaplaning. I had seen this done on youtube and was terrified, but she did it anyway deciding what i needed, which has left me a little red and sensitive to heat. Im just taking around 4-5 days to let my face recover. Not really my cup of tea dermaplaning lol. She also seemed very experienced, and knowledgable, she has definitely put a ton of effort into her practice.
