My friend got me a gift card here for a 60 minute scalp treatment after we'd seen so many videos online about these kinds of services, so I was very excited to try it out! I booked my session online for the earliest slot, which was 9 AM. Finding the studio was not difficult at all and they were ready for me as soon as I came in. The studio has a mini fridge with drinks, as well as some cookies and candies on display for clients to enjoy. I changed into rubber slippers and was escorted to my treatment area, which was divided by a curtain and changed out of my top into a strapless spa towel and laid down on the bed. Serena then tucked me into the bed and began the treatment, starting with a quick hand, arm and shoulder massage with lotion (note this was done very quickly haha). This was done while my face was steamed. She then moved onto washing my face and applying a mask and a warming eye mask. She then began massaging my scalp, which was so nice but a little rough. She then washed my hair for a LONG time, really getting in my roots and cleaning everything. She then removed the mask and put something else over my eyes and went in for conditioner on my hair. Afterwards, she rinsed both my hair and my upper body. This was a little surprising and I wish I had gotten a heads up they'd be running water down to my armpit level. I did feel very clean though! She gave a chest and neck massage afterwards. I awake for most of this but did start to drift off near the end. Right at this point she woke me up and instructed me to put my top back on and meet her over at the blow drying station. Here, she quickly blow dried my hair using a little hair oil I believe. I was a little disappointed that no styling was involved in this part and while my hair looked and felt very clean, it also looked quite flat. Overall, I really enjoyed the service and would like to get another one, but I would like to try another spa for this as I have seen different price ranges online and this studio definitely is on the higher end. I do think for the price I paid, it was a little rushed feeling, but overall was extremely relaxing, and I left with my hair feeling extremely clean. read more

Came here for the 60 min scalp treatment that I booked through Classpass and had a great time! The front entrance at street level is misleading since it makes you think it is locked and that you have to buzz in, but actually I was just able to open it. From there it's a short flight of stairs to the entrance. Inside it's so warm and cozy and clean. There was relaxing music with water sounds and I took off my shoes and changed into reusable slippers they provided. They also poured me a cup of water. So I will admit it was a bit different than I expected from other videos I've seen of scalp treatments, as my experience was more like a massage and facial and intensive hair wash. Other places I've seen will have a camera to zoom in on your scalp and talk through what they're seeing but they didn't do that. So first, I changed into a cute little strapless towel thing and then Emily gave me an arm massage followed by washing my face and putting on a sheet mask plus a heated eye mask. Then she used a wooden scalp massager which felt nice and shampooed and lathered / massaged my scalp for a while before pulling out a cool almost like rainfall contraption to rinse my scalp and she also washed my décolletage. Then she towel dried my hair and asked me to change back into my clothes and then someone else took me to a blow drying station and I noticed there was also makeup in case anyone wanted to touch up their face afterwards (the brushes were clean and they had a couple makeup sponges too). read more

I enjoyed my time here however it was VERY pricey. My friend and I did the 90 minute scalp treatment which also includes a bit of neck, shoulder and arm massaging, as well as a small facial with a mask. I was relaxed and I felt warm but it didn't include the microscopic scalp review that I thought was the whole point of this treatment. They blowdry your hair for you and it came out looking straight and shiny and healthy, so that was great. My friend bought the package which allowed us to get the discounted scalp treatment at around $130 pp but add tip on top and you're looking at $170pp. Retail price would have been around $200 if you don't have the package. While this was an enjoyable experience, it's not affordable so I won't be coming back. If you find the right hair salons in Chinatown you can get 20 minute hair washes which include a blow dry/straightening for under $20. I would much prefer to save some money and do that instead of spending close to $200 for this service. read more

I was so excited to finally try the scalp experience at this place and although the head massage was fantastic and the staff was very sweet, I was underwhelmed with the results. My hair wasn't rinsed thoroughly enough and k had SO MUCH product left in my hair and scalp. My hair literally felt soapy when I left. When I went home, I could actually lather my hair in the shower without any additional shampoo. I think because of all the product, the girl who was blow drying my hair got tired and asked twice if my hair was "dry enough" when it definitely was still damp. I ended up just saying "let me do it" and I just dried my own hair with the hairdryer. Then when I was done, she even asked me "are you done yet?". What!? The receptionist was very sweet and accommodating and the place was clean and organized. But not planning on coming back unfortunately. read more

The girls were nice but just seemed inexperienced with procedure and technique. The tables and blankets were not heated or comfortable at all. We were freezing!! They're a newly run business and are fully prepared to provide a full spa treatment from moment you walk in to last minute you walk out. It's a wash/blow out service but be prepared you will not walk out with your hair as if you left a hair salon. But the products they use will leave your scalp clean and hair soft. I naturally have oily hair and after a night of sleeping my hair starts to build up oil. Im on day 3 and my scalp has very lil buildup. So let me start with this. Booking was damn near impossible. No one answered the phone and I texted someone who got back to me sporadically. But we worked it out. I showed up on time. Now, I'm a black woman with natural textured hair in micro locs. I came because tik tok suggested this place for a Japanese hair wash. I walked in and one the ladies said she couldn't wash my hair because "my type of hair wouldn't get clean" I was offended but lets just say not a lot of black woman come here. Fine. They called management who clearly said, "do you want money or not?" And she did it begrudgingly. My hair got washed yes. Very very clean. But the massage was wack and so was the facial. I have no idea what products she used. No scents on anything. And I had to listen to the conversation of the other girls the entire time. Facial was Just a sheet mask and eye covers. The massage was without technique. Did not take 90 mins as promised. I had to ask her to show me the hair microscope and she didn't want to do that. Then she demanded, yes demanded a 20% tip after only accepting a Zelle payment. Not worth $150 almost $200. The spa is cute and well decorated though. read more
