Just to put it in context to you... my ancestors must have been from the tribe that lived closer to the ocean rather than near a farm lol! Fresh seafood for me is something I really enjoy! So driving by this location I really said to myself I needed to ask if they could ice pack some treats to take back. They had a sign on the window for fresh crab as it was in season. So I decided just to get two crab legs (it's lots of work) as a nice appetizer and some fresh Matane shrimp. The shrimp was $12.49 a pound but. I asked if fresh and the store owner said "oui Monsieur". So I got a small amount of both and was able to eat the crab when. I returned and the shrimp for the next two days with no issue. Both were very fresh and super tasty! Definitely I'd return when in RDL. If you want fresh Seafood in the Rivière Du Loup area it's a great option. They gave me a small bag of ice that worked well in my cooler to keep it fresh. Good stuff!

Dessert, of which they have a few, was creme brulee and that was so good. Service was great and the staff very friendly. Most all staff can help you in English, without being putout. On my visit I ended up purchasing a nice huge piece of fresh Atlantic Halibut, a nice container of fresh Matane shrimp and a sugar pie. The portions are large and wholesome. There are many options on the menu albeit a preponderance of fried food. The food we hand I would definitely rate as good - Caesar salad, fried fish, and lobster club. The service is definitely, serve the locals first and low tolerance for no French.
