As a first-time visitor to Montreal, I can't imagine a better way to kick off a vacation with friends. We arrived during a full-on heat wave, which meant the restaurant was doing its best impression of "authentic Mediterranean sauna experience." But here's the twist: nobody cared. Not even a little. The food and service were working overtime to distract us from the fact that we were gently melting into our chairs. Before long, espresso martinis were appearing with suspicious frequency, and a perfectly respectable Negroni made an appearance as well. Now. We must talk about the true headliner. No notes. No edits. No constructive criticism. I do not say this lightly, but the fresh pita may have been life-changing. If you enjoy pita, feta, flavor, joy, serotonin, or the concept of happiness itself, please order it immediately. Do not consult the group. Do not "wait and see." Just act. NOW. No modifications. No hesitation. No regrets. The entrées were also fantastic. In fact, they were so fantastic that I failed my duties as a vacation food photographer.
