This particular outlet doesn't seem to offer much in the way of discounts over the normal retail channel. Outlet stores normally have a different distribution line. So the things you see may advertise at 40% or 50% Off their normal price, but theses items usually never are sold in branded stores. le Cruiser is different, because they only make one type of product, so their markdowns are somewhat limited. Also, some of their more popular items are unavailable, as we reluctantly found out The day after Christmas sales are usually their best markdown.

First attempt at French bread in the Le Creucet Dutch oven

So I am trying to learn to make really outstanding bread. I am tired of the poor quality and flavorless bread from the grocery stores. So I found a recipe I really liked and they HIGHLY suggested it be cooked in a Dutch oven. I have a Le Creucet Dutch oven I inherited but it wasn't the right size for what I wanted to do. When I checked the prices it was kind of shocking, but I know they are regarded as the best, plus they have a lifetime warranty. I don't want to be one of those people on Amazon that bought one and liked it for the first 3 times I used it, then the enamel starts flaking off. I looked at the Amazon ones and it seems that some people like them but there are also a lot of problems, same with the Lodge. Kind of a crapshoot. I actually had one from Made In in my cart, but then they said the 15% discount they offered me was not available, so I started looking on eBay for a used Le Creuset. I was also a bit taken aback at what they still bring used, often after suffering serious abuse. While I was searching for other sources I realized that there was a Le Creuset outlet store about 10 miles south of me. After reading the reviews I was a bit apprehensive that the drive would not be worth it. So, first off, this store is small, but nice. Everything the have is on display nicely. The guy that helped me (sorry, I should have gotten his name) was super helpful and knowledgeable. The items I was looking at were at a discount to the normal Le Creuset prices, but not anything crazy -- then I noticed the discount table in the middle of the store. Everything on it was 40% off the lowest marked price! So, long story short I was looking at a slightly larger Dutch oven, but one size down was 40% off. That was hard to pass up. In the end, I got a super nice Dutch Oven for about half what they go for online. So as for the people that didn't think the discounts were enough, there is a whole table of stuff in the middle of the store at large discounts. You have to realize it is an outlet store, they mark down what they want to move. It is also a great full service store with nearly everything that Le Creuset makes. It is a business, not a charity. They have a new sale every week, I do wish they had a mailing list or such to let people know what is going to be on sale that week, but they don't. Obviously they want you top visit the store, and I can accept that. Just know, that there will be *something* on sale, maybe not just what you wanted that week. In the end, I ended up with a Dutch oven, one size smaller than I had planned to buy. I used it for the first time today, and I was so happy when I took the lid off and saw the bread I made. I don't think it could have been cooked any better. The price I paid on the sale table was only slightly more than what I would have paid for a used one in decent shape on eBay. That is something you might consider, as its pretty crazy to imagine selling a used pan for anywhere near what you paid. Anyway, I am super excited to taste this bread and use it again. I am very glad I made the drive to the outlet store.

We love this outlet. We were passing by and picked up a couple things to add to our kitchen back home. Very competently staffed by the asst. Manager.

They regularly mark items down so if you see a red price tag on it, it's usually a steal of a deal. The employees are pretty helpful if you need help. I like that the stores also carry some exotic food items like different kinds of ramen/noodles and chips. If you're into coffee, they have a lot of that, too, along with flavored syrups (usually priced around $4.99 each). I find that most, if not all of their locations have cluttered aisles, and they are pretty narrow. About the only aisles that are wide tend to be bedding and bath. They do have a pretty large selection of lamps for every room in your home. Since TJMaxx is their sister store, they also have an aisle of temptation when you check out to pay, lol. With a little will power, you can defy the odds and NOT pick up anything while you're waiting in line!! Home Goods has some unique items, so if you're thinking about something while you're in there, just buy it!! You can always return it later so hold on to your receipts! If you don't buy it and try to go back later, you may never see it again! Don't say I didn't warn you, lol.

Maybe someday I'll bring one of mine for the "Bull in the China Shop" experience. They have a restaurant here too so you can dine prior your shopping experience. Or after. They also have small shopping carts, but honestly there's no need since occasionally staff will pass and ask you if you would like the items you're carrying taken up front. And it doesn't take much to get large items moved because staff is so helpful. On special event weekends it gets noticeably busy. Parking lot fills and aisles become a bit crowded, so come early. Holidays are especially appealing when vendors dress up their booths with seasonal decor, especially the vintage items. Almost every time I shop here I find something to bring home.

It's a treasure trove of industrial appliances (Deep fryers, griddles, ovens), plates, knives, baking and cooking supplies, and more! I felt like a kid in some kind of a store (Cool points if you know the reference)... Food nerd that I am, I oohed and ahhed over the different supplies available. Prices were reasonable too. A measuring spoon set for $.90? A ravioli maker/press for less than Amazon's price? I'm there! The store itself feels a little grubby and doesn't seem as big as the other store in Mesa, but the selection is still great. Service was fast and friendly. Also, if anything, you should stop in to admire the comically huge whisks they have for sale. If the Jolly Green Giant needed to bake a cake this is where he'd get his supplies!
