Had dinner here with tres amis. Two of us had the steak- nicely pan-fried just the way we ordered- it was tender and tasty. This is France- where was the sauce? ;) The pomme frites and small mixed green salads were very good. One of us had the duck which was très bonne, and the (pan fried?) pommes it came with were excellent. Same nice salad. The fourth had the pork tenderloin, and though it wasn't (sauce not withstanding), she did like it. It came with egg noodles that were nothing special.
Three of us love chocolate, so we had the little warm chocolate cakes- with hot fudge in the center (kinda like volcano cake), and surrounded by a creme sauce on the plate- which were magnifique. The fourth got the bread pudding which was exceptional. It was also a really large portion- actually enough for two.
The house beer, nameless?, amber with a nice head, was great. I'd come back tomorrow if there weren't too many other intriguing places to try the next couple of days. read more
