I have been seeing Melinda for my hair for a few months . I paid $200 for hair straightened 3 weeks ago .Please note , I also tip very well . When straightening was complete , all that was straight , was my bangs . I was leaving next day for Florida ( main reason for straightening , due to humidity , etc. my hair was frizzier than before , and despite messages , no response from Melinda . Stopped in today ( again , no response to My text , explaining I wanted to " remedy" the situation . Was told " come back later " I did Bottom line , nothing I can do , ur hair is not frizzy " no apology , perhaps compensate w next haircut , NOTHING !! She lost a hood client and my 2 neigjbors and my daughter are going elsewhere as well ! BAD Business , no ethics !!! read more

i came here for the first time after getting the worst haircut of my life from a different salon. Everyone was a joy to be around, super nice and helpful. They took their time figuring out a way to fix the horrible job that was done to my hair and by the end i couldn't believe the difference, for the first time i got exactly what i wanted and i really appreciate how she didn't cut off a ton of hair to get the job done. Went in a month ago to lighten my hair, Melinda did an ombré technique and it turned out very close to what I wanted. I paid $160 at that appointment, which is about average. She told me that when I need to touch up my roots it would be $35 and to remind her it was medium brown. I called yesterday morning to see if I could come in for a root touch up, made an appointment, went in as scheduled. I told her I just need to cover my grays with medium brown. She took it upon herself to go "darker". Ok. She starts bringing the color down and I'm a little confused but figured she knew what she was doing. About 10 minutes in, I mention the ombré she JUST did and I see her face look a little confused. She tells me it's time to wash the color out and as she's trying her best to wash out the color from the bottom she's still acting like she did nothing wrong. Long story short, I left there with dark brown hair from root to end. She covered up all the blonde ends she JUST did 30 days ago and I paid $160 for. She charges me $60 for this touch up gone wrong. It was busy so I didn't want to cause a scene or embarrass her in front of her boss. I go in today, less than 24 hrs later to ask her what happened. I'd like my money back considering I just spend $260 (including tips) within the last 30 days and have ugly dark brown hair instead of the medium brown and blonde ombré I originally did and walked in with yesterday. Instead of telling me she's sorry or can refund money, she tells me it's because I didn't blow dry it and smirks. It's been 24 hours, my hair is dry! Unless it's magic dye, drying it won't make the blonde come back. She just continues to smirk and act like I'm wrong. I showed another customer the pic of my hair color and she clearly saw the blonde ombré is gone. Very unprofessional and incompetent. Melinda not only messed up my hair but she also tried to deny that anything went wrong. I won't get my money back but they lost a customer and I hope others rethink using this place or at least Melinda. read more

This is a very nice, friendly place to get your hair colored, cut, highlighted and styled. They also offer manicures, massage, facials and a host of spa menu items in their Woman Cave on the lower level. So nice! I used to get my hair done in Greenwich, CT for twice the price. I got more compliments when I had my hair done at Le Look. Elsy, the owner, really knows what she's doing! The prices are reasonable, the products they use are great, and they are very talented stylists. read more

I had my gender reveal a few weeks ago. I went in days in advance to get a price quote and scheduling for a cut and french braids. I was pressed for time on the day of my gender reveal so i set the appt for 11 am. I got there at 11:03. Almost AN HOUR LATER.. and the hairdresser was STILL a no show. While waiting they made some 14 year old wash my hair while i wait... and she really didnt even wash my hair..barely massages my scalp.. my hair still felt dirty. I sat there.. with my hair wet and just got fed up watching the time pass with no action and poor service.. i just got up and left. Absolutely unprofessional... not even a call back apologizing. Made me waste time thank god i went somewhere else and they took me last minute and did a great job. These ppl on the other hand... just do yourself a favor and just pass on this hole in the wall. read more

This is based on my customer service. I was not able to get my hair done. I called on a Saturday to get a quote on prices and salon hours. The lady I spoke with was very nice and answered all my questions. I told her I will come the following day to get my hair done and she said ok. I arrived at the salon Sunday between 9:30 and 10am. When I walked in, there was a lady sitting at the front desk, and a Male beautician finishing up with his client. I said goodmorning, I'm getting a wash and set. The lady just gave me an unpleasant look and asked me if I made an appointment. I told her no appointment was made, but I called yesterday, and the person I spoke with a lady and she said it was ok to come in. The front desk lady said she has a keratin appointment coming in and she doesn't have time for a wash and set. She asked the Male beautician if he was able to do my hair and he looked at me and mumbled something. I told the lady don't worry. There are plenty salons to choose from. And I left.
