I had my wedding here in '21. To go into all the details that The Abbey provided would be gilding…read morethe lily. So I'll just get to the point. The point being (main point) is ... Michael. Michael is the manager of events that take place at Ramsey Country Club. When we meet with him to discuss our thoughts on our wedding he informed us that his main concern was (not me) my wife. After confirming everything that we wanted, from an outside wedding to a 3-piece jazz ensemble for the cocktail hour to our course selection and wedding band, etc., etc. Michael explained that my future wife to be was his main concern. That he'll be with her from the time she gets there (early with bridesmaids & makeup, hairdresser people) he'll be the one making sure all her needs are taken care of ... from trays of food to drinks (cocktails to coffee). Even taking care of legal paperwork for the marriage, to keeping her informed of where her future husband was and the guests arriving. Michael was at my wife's beck and call. She had no worries, just enjoy the day. Till this day she still sings his praise. Making our wedding "THE BEST". When you plan an event at The Abbey you get Michael, which means you get the best. Hate to say this ... but when you pick The Abbey your getting Michael & that's what matters. You pay a premium when you choose Ramsey Country Club. I could have chosen other top venues for our wedding and paid less. But after researching all, seeing the reviews, it wasn't about the money, I wanted the BEST. I got that with Michael and Ramsey Country Club.

A breathtaking view, unforgettable food, and an experience that stays with you…read more Dining at The View at Mount Fuji is not just a meal--it's a moment. Nestled in the mountains, this gem offers stunning panoramic views that make you pause, breathe deeper, and appreciate the beauty around you. Whether you come for a special occasion or just want to treat yourself, it feels like a hidden escape above it all. The ambiance is elegant but welcoming, with floor-to-ceiling windows that make every table feel like front row seats to nature's show. Now let's talk food--flavorful, beautifully presented, and full of Japanese tradition with a modern twist. From the sushi to the hibachi, everything was fresh and artfully prepared. The staff was warm, attentive, and truly made the evening feel special. I left with a full belly, a full heart, and way too many photos of the view (and no regrets about it). Perfect for date nights, birthdays, or anytime you want to elevate your dining experience--literally.

We had our wedding there over a month ago and I am so grateful for the level of care and professionalism that went into our special day. Planning a wedding is highly stressful, but having a caring event coordinator who is patient, flexible, responsive, and highly organized with great attention to detail, relieves a lot of stress and is an absolute blessing...and that's exactly who Pia was to us! Everything at our wedding went so smoothly because of the attentiveness of the staff at The Views. From getting ready in the Bridal Suite and the Groom Suite (yes, you read that right, they have 2 separate suites for both parties lol), to going home with a bag filled with the food we selected for our guests so that we were able to try it all (and have leftovers), they have literally thought of everything to ensure your day goes smoothly, you are well fed, and you have the most memorable day. I highly recommend holding your event, especially if it's your wedding, at The Views at Mount Fuji! The space is beautiful, the food is amazing, the staff are wonderful, and of course, I can't forget to mention the incredible mountain views with the color changing leaves on a fall day.

I'm posting this review after attempting to resolve the situation privately with both the hotel…read more and eventually Linda Columbia who is the Director of Rooms and the booking platform, but unfortunately no meaningful resolution was provided. Linda said since I booked 3rd party by way of Booking.com that there was nothing she could do and told me to reach out to Booking.com. My husband and I stayed for one night at the Crowne Plaza Suffern-Mahwah by IHG on March 7-8, 2026. The stay turned out to be extremely disruptive. Around 11:00 PM, we began hearing a loud, constant whistling noise coming from the bathroom plumbing in our room. It appeared to be a mechanical issue with the pipes and made it very difficult to sleep. Shortly after we finally fell asleep, the hotel's emergency alarm system activated, repeatedly instructing all guests to evacuate the building immediately. My husband and I evacuated along with many other guests and were required to stand outside in the rain for approximately 45 minutes while the alarm continued. What was most concerning was that no information was provided to guests about what was happening or whether it was safe to return. Once we were eventually allowed back inside, there was no explanation or communication from the hotel regarding the situation. The following morning, we also received a receipt slipped under our door showing a Mastercard payment, even though the stay had already been prepaid through PayPal via Booking.com. When we asked the front desk about this at checkout, the staff seemed confused and somewhat irritated rather than providing a clear explanation. After more than a week of back-and-forth communication between the hotel and Booking.com, the only resolution offered was a $14.95 credit, which required me to submit my credit card information through a link to receive it. Considering the mechanical issue in the room, the late-night evacuation, standing outside in the rain for 45 minutes, the billing confusion, and the lack of communication afterward, this response felt extremely inadequate. I understand that emergencies happen, but what was most disappointing was the lack of communication and accountability afterward, both from the property and in the resolution process. I hope hotel management reviews this situation and takes it seriously, because this experience fell far below the level of service and guest care I expected from a Crowne Plaza property.

Bedbugs If I could give zero, I would I am writing this…read morereview with absolute disgust and disbelief after our recent stay at [courtyard ]. What was supposed to be a standard stay turned into a living nightmare due to a severe bed bug infestation and a complete breakdown of basic hotel management and customer service. We discovered bed bugs in our room. When we immediately contacted the front desk (around 1 AM), the nightmare really began. It took an unacceptable 27 minutes for a staff member to even show up to speak with us. To make matters worse, they refused to come up to the room to inspect the bugs and shockingly declined to even view the video evidence we had clearly captured. Their apathy was staggering. We were finally moved to a new room on the opposite side of the hotel at 7 AM. After almost no sleep, we were then woken up shortly after by loud, pervasive construction noise directly outside our new room. When I went to the front desk to complain, the manager was incredibly rude and, in a breathtaking display of dishonesty, completely denied that any construction work was happening at the hotel. Furthermore, we were unable to use the pool or gym during our entire stay as they were closed or unavailable, a detail not disclosed to us beforehand. As we were attempting to check out and leave, our exit was physically blocked. The construction crew was using the only functional exit door, making it impossible for us to leave with our luggage for some time. This is not only unacceptable service but a major safety hazard. The manager has refused to refund us for the night we spent with the bed bugs. We are longtime guests who have stayed here twice a year for years. This experience was not just "bad service"; it was a total failure. This hotel is garbage, the staff is unprofessional and rude, and the management is dishonest. We will NEVER stay at this property again and strongly advise every traveler to steer clear for their own health and safety. I have full photo and video documentation of the infestation and the construction noise to back up every word of this review.

Open space abound and people brought lawn chairs, beach blankets and their own food to set up a nice little picnic. There were some live bands jamming away in the band shell. Food was there for purchase. One stand served up a pretty good taco salad with edible shell. I estimated that I sampled less than 50% of the wines there, and felt pretty good. Took a nice nap in the middle of the lawn. Woke up after half an hour, sampled some more and bought myself some wine bottles. Maybe bought home one too many wine bottles. Lol Loved this event, especially since the weather held up. Jersey Wineries are pretty spread out throughout the state so this is a perfect venue for you to sample their wines, and buy direct.
