After over a year of searching for the perfect venue for our wedding, one tour at The Views at Mount Fuji and we immediately fell in love with everything about it! We had our wedding there over a month ago and I am so grateful for the level of care and professionalism that went into our special day. Planning a wedding is highly stressful, but having a caring event coordinator who is patient, flexible, responsive, and highly organized with great attention to detail, relieves a lot of stress and is an absolute blessing...and that's exactly who Pia was to us! Everything at our wedding went so smoothly because of the attentiveness of the staff at The Views. From getting ready in the Bridal Suite and the Groom Suite (yes, you read that right, they have 2 separate suites for both parties lol), to going home with a bag filled with the food we selected for our guests so that we were able to try it all (and have leftovers), they have literally thought of everything to ensure your day goes smoothly, you are well fed, and you have the most memorable day. I highly recommend holding your event, especially if it's your wedding, at The Views at Mount Fuji! Recently attended a wedding at The Views. As the name implies this venue has stunning views of the Ramapo mountains and the valley leading south. You would not expect this from looking at the building and until this wedding I had no idea this space was part of the restaurant. The food was average although the sliced steak was excellent and the hors d'oeuvres served during the cocktail hour were nicely prepared and plentiful. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The outdoor area for the wedding and photographs is nice, although it could use an update. That's the good news The disappoints were several. The venue itself needs a facelift. It's a bit musty and the bridal party suites do not have adequate air conditioning. The coordinator / hostess (Kim) was not well prepared at times to handle requests and seemed overwhelmed between handling our wedding and showing the property to perspective couples. Seemed like the sales part of the job took priority over running the wedding. The assigned bartender was not willing or not experienced enough to make certain cocktails for guests. Several guests had to settle for beer, wine or simple mixed drinks. Overall The Views are an average venue where you are paying for the view and not the attentive service you would expect at a wedding. I recently lost a bet with my good friend, Ivan P., so as his reward, we went to The Views at Mount Fuji for Sunday brunch. Harry P. and Jabriel J. completed our table. It had been years since my last visit to Mount Fuji. Growing up, I attended many events at the The Views at Mount Fuji. I remember the food being awesome, and a nice woman who was working during every event named Nancy, who gave me cocktail umbrellas as a kid. The architecture and layout of the building and koi pond is very Japanese. The hibachi restaurant upstairs was in the middle of a renovation at the time of our visit, but the area serving brunch was the same as ever. The views of the mountains from the gigantic bay windows are quite nice. For the relatively low price of $29 per person, the Sunday brunch is great. There was a large array of breakfast items, with some heavier lunch options. Their was an omelette bar, sushi boats, a salad bar, baked goods, cold seafood bar, and a carving station. I was expecting that my childhood memories would be let down by the food, but fortunately they were not. The sushi quality was much better than I would have expected from a buffet, and the food from the chaffing dishes was almost as good as I remembered, although I would skip on the alfredo and demi glazed beef. The seafood items were my favorite, by far. I greatly enjoyed the shrimp cocktail, mussels in fennel, and the lox. I thought the lox was surprisingly good, and it was confirmed by Harry P., my Jewish authority on lox. Ivan P. happily ate a ton of salmon sushi, lox, and salmon teriyaki. I was amused that dolmades were available at the salad bar. The carving station featured roast beef and suckling pig. To the amusement of my Filipino self, they had a bottle of Mang Tomas All Purpose Sauce right next to the pig. The guy at the carving station didn't understand me when I asked him for a rarer piece of beef, so I ended up with a pretty dry, well done piece. The majority of the desserts I tried were mediocre, including the red velvet cake and tiramisu cake. We all agreed that the coffee was bad. But as Jabriel J. pointed out, the quality of their soft serve ice cream was very good. I'm really picky when it comes to Japanese food in the states, and this place knocked it out of the park when we held our baby shower here. They certainly have a lot of fusion dishes that are westernized, and most importantly, they have revamped their dishes to also serve excellent Japanese dishes that would satisfy many snobby Japanese foodies. They have 3 areas, the hibachi section, modernized lounge area, and the large ballrooms with the largest windows I've ever seen so guests can have an amazing view. We had a baby shower. The venue was so nice it looked like a wedding! All staffs are extremely kind, helpful, and very thoughtful. All guests loved the place and are instagramming like there's no tomorrow. I have been going here since I was 13 years old every single year for my birthday and this place does not fail to impress me yet. I LOVE their dinner/nightly atmosphere and I have been to their brunch before but it wasn't as impressive as the dinner part. The chefs are great, the waiters are always funny & always trying to be a part of the fun especially Kim!!!!!! He was great. Hibachi is amazing I highly recommended the steak & shrimp!! I only will eat shrimp at Mt Fuji because it is just so amazing. The snake vodka with cranberry will sneak up on you and it is delicious! I like how if it is your birthday they do a special thing where the big dragon head comes over to you and sings Bonzai to you. Our wedding was held on March 31,2018 at the Views of Mt. fuji. This is absolutely a beautiful venue and it was tremendously an amazing experience from the first meeting in planning our wedding with Patrick Kelly and for the actual day. The weather was kind to us that since it just snowed a few days prior which we were able to have a marvelous ceremony outside with spectacular views. Majority wedding venues or carters serve bland entrees from my experience of the weddings I attended , but this isn't the case at The Views of Mt Fuji. Our original venue was suppose to be held in Puerto Rico , but due to Hurricane Maria we had to start over with the whole planning process. Just imagine the stress of detail planning, booking the venue and all the vendors then having to start all over. Our first meeting with Patrick Kelly he stated "Here at Mt Fuji you will never hear the word No,but how we could make it happen." That was actually the honest truth, the constant communication and extremely fast response to have a prefect wedding. Patrick put our nerves at ease knowing a professional who previous directed weddings at the famous Tavern on the Green in NYC and a college professor coordinating our prefect wedding. A perfect wedding doesn't have to put you in the poor house , take out loans, or max out your credit cards since they are reasonably price and will definitely fit into your budget. If you want a perfect wedding with the least amount of stress for an amazing price this is the place. We booked our hotel block at the Marriott in Montvale which provided free shuttle service to this venue which majority of our guests took advantage since they didn't have to worry about driving and enjoy a perfect wedding. No wedding is perfect of course , but Patrick Kelly will make this happen. Thank God we decided to book with the Views of Mt Fuji. read more

We were married here in April, and not only is the location beautiful, but every single staff member was above and beyond amazing. From the owners, Yoshi and Nancy, personally congratulating us, to each white glove server magically appearing without needing to be called - we didn't want for a single thing on our wedding day! Huge praise and thanks to Patrick Kelly, the Event Manager, and Bruce Werntz, the Director of Catering and day-of coordinator. Patrick dealt with the planning stages (and every anxious "omg what about THIS" moment we had) with so much patience and ease while Bruce provided such above par service it was unbelievable - going so far as to take his own cufflinks off to give to my Dad after he realized his had been left at the hotel. Went here for my husband's birthday very recently. It was okay... I kept hearing that the atmosphere here was so great and the food was amazing. I was saddened to find the place was very cluttered and decorated with very old, cheesy decorations. It's a great view, but the inside REALLY needs to be redone. I wanted to rip off the wall all those giant lame pictures that light up, and bar area made me feel like I went back in time to the late 70s/early 80s. There was a jar filled with vodka and preserved snakes and was all lit up in bright lights... It really made me nauseated. Who wants to see that before they eat?!?! Absolutely disgusting! the hibachi wasn't the best. On my personal scale of all hibachi I've ever had, this was the lowest. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. Service was EXTREMELY SLOW! We had 8pm reservations, and weren't seated until 8:40. Our drink orders weren't taken until 8:50, and I think we finally got our salads at 9. We finished dinner at 10:40. Mount Fiji is also much more expensive than any hibachi place I've ever been to. The cooks all have the same gimmick, and sing modern songs in their Japanese accents, which gets old pretty fast. There is also a sense of confusion there... At the bar, there was a piano player, playing at a baby grand piano, which was cluttered with junk on top of it, and more junk hanging over it. I didn't want to touch anything because all the decorations looked dirty and dusty and made me feel like the entire place was probably dirty and dusty. Then later, there was a dj blasting disco music, with lights flashing, and no one dancing. It wasn't even disco music that people could recognize... It was some really old stuff that was buried and forgotten over 30 years ago. The waiters and waitresses wear tuxedos and there is also mandatory valet parking, yet it's a causal place. The rugs are very busy, tacky, and dirty. It's very confusing. The place needs to be cleaned out and revamped. Mount Fiji was not what I expected. I was disappointed overall. read more

It's hard to find the right words for how much we LOVED our wedding at The Views at Mount Fuji on 5/25/19. All I can say to anyone the day after was, "Everything was perfect. I wouldn't change a thing." Guests came up to us and said they had a wonderful time as well. The food was amazing and the portions--particularly during the cocktail hour--were generous. The ceremony site was perfect, the newly renovated lounge was modern and stunning, and the actual hall was beautiful with tons of natural light and nice details like the decorative ceilings. All day--from every location--our guests had the opportunity to enjoy beautiful mountain views in a private atmosphere. The wedding coordinator, Patrick Kelly, was very helpful and attentive--particularly on our day--and he made everything run smoothly. We enjoyed our wedding immensely and never worried about anything but entertaining our guests. On June 22, 2014, my wife and I got married at The Views at Mt. Fuji. We are both young widows and this was our second wedding. I had a very large wedding the first time but my future bride had a very little something in a house. I wanted to give her the wedding that all women deserve and with fear of not being able to succeed I found Bruce Werntz at The Views. What can I say, not only was I getting married but I was hosting my own wedding. I needed everything to be perfect and Bruce made sure it happened. The place is gorgeous being on top of a mountain with floor to ceiling windows. The weather was beautiful as we had the service outside at 4 PM. There was plenty of room for all the guests and the altar and sound system were excellent. Following the nuptials we went upstairs for the cocktail hour. The food was excellent, the service was impeccable and the alcohol flowed freely. Everybody was really having a great time. We then all headed downstairs for the dinner. The room is beautiful, the ambiance is party enhancing and the staff is always around but unobtrusive. The food is delicious and everybody can get to the dance floor easily. When it was time to call it a day everyone was raving. They laughed, they cried and all had a fabulous time. My wife had her dream wedding, my guests had a ball and all went home happy. I could not have dreamt of a better day. My wishes and hopes were all met thanks to Bruce. If you need a place to have an event, look up Bruce. I promise you will not be disappointed. read more

When we first looked for a place to have our wedding 10 years ago, we didn't have to look far. We had our wedding at the Views and had the best time of our lives. The food choices was wonderful, there service were amazing, the decoration was beautiful, the atmosphere is still wonderful and the people, is fantastic. Service was really really slow the inside of the place is outdated and old. Carpets were old and dirty in some spots there was black duct tape holding it down. The bar was tapped up with the same black tape. The place was sooo smokey and hot. My whole family had to wash every article of clothing when we got home jackets and all. All the pictures of famous people are from 20-30 years ago. Will smith picture was from fresh prince era. This place was "the spot" its passed its time needs an update. Food was OK . if its your birthday they use same candle from all the other birthdays lol..that candle has seen at least 500 birthdays not even joking. Management - 5/5 Food - 5/5 Decor - 5/5 Service - 5/5 Price - you get what you pay for! 5/5 Bruce, the manager, was not only the most detail-oriented, efficient, and knowledgeable event manager, but he was also a wonderful person to work with. I am an extremely picky person, with a lot of specific needs for my guests. Bruce was amazing at fulfilling all of my guest's needs, as well as all of the very specific needs that I had as the host. The Food was phenomenal. Having a strict vegetarian family, as well as family that are carnivores, the kitchen was able to seamlessly create an atmosphere where both diets were accounted for. The food was delicious, fresh, thoughtful, and Bruce and his head chef (Joe?), were both very accommodating to my "vision" for the meal. They went back and forth with me on several ideas, helped me generate the best possible menu, and even made a special Indian course for my family. The decor, although very ornate, did well with my modern take. I had decorated in navy, white, and silver for the theme, and it came out beautifully in the room. Bruce was able to negotiate great prices for all of the decor, and was able to really make the whole theme come together. Furthermore - the VIEW! On a clear day, you can see all the way to New York City. It is absolutely stunning. Service before, during, and after the party was absolutely incredible. If any guest needed anything, it was accommodated in minutes. I had several elderly guests and they needed benches, chairs, and couches added to the room, and the team was flawless with their execution of these requests. When we needed a room for a mother who wanted to breastfeed, we were given the private space for her. When we were in need of more plates, drinks, or cutlery, it appeared in seconds. When we needed tables and chairs for the Photo Booth, we had them. Bruce even had things set up a few days before, and let us in and out of the venue, in order to make sure everything was perfect. The Bartender was one of the most fun and attentive bartenders I had come into contact with, in all of the events that I have planned thus far. The price was not cheap, but every cent we paid was worth it. I would be honored to work with Bruce again in the future. I highly recommend planning you next event at Mount Fuji. I've been going here since they opened. I remember when you had to have a jacket to eat there and if you didn't you got a cool robe. No longer the case, which is fine. I enjoy the experience and the Sunday Brunch is very good. However they have taken pricing to a whole new level lately and the food and service is ok, but nothing great. $20.00 for a kids meal? really? Sorry Tony, perhaps you hit the Sake too much lately, but it ain't worth it. THE hibachi place. The decor is horrendously outdated, but I personally think it's charming. I went with my boyfriend a day or two before Christmas and it was perfect. Came in as a surprise with my husband! He really surprised me.. From the moment you turn in to go up the hills it's like your in a different country! Piña colada is soooo delicious!!! I went here last night for the first time to celebrate my best friend's birthday. I recently found out I was diagnosed with gluten sensitivity and they were very accommodating of that. All I did was mention to our server that I couldn't eat gluten and the chef knew to prepare my food separately with gluten free soy sauce, and gave me gluten free white rice instead of the fried rice and noodles everyone else was eating. I have been to this place for the Sunday Brunch, for the Murder Mystery Dinner and a corporate event. The food is nothing short of amazing. The Sunday Brunch has a HUGE selection of food including a carving station, sushi, omelette and waffle station plus at least another 10 dishes and desserts. The views are absolutely fabulous and the service was great! The Murder Mystery Dinners are also great! You become part of the show and is done very tastefully and in a comical way - who would have thought you could laugh during a Murder Mystery Show. The food was amazing once again. Same with the corporate event I was at here. We continue to go here for the Sunday Brunch and Murder Mystery Dinners. We make sure we go the Sunday Brunch for all special occasions.
