There were 6 more in the well we couldn't fit on deck.

Chris is awesome. I took my father in law out for his first fishing charter and it was amazing. He was a friend of a friend of a friend, so I wasn't sure what I was going to get. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! He is a master of the trade, and he was great explaining how to fish for everything we caught and tried for. His mate, Kohl, is fantastic as well. They were amazing all around, and I want to come back to vacation nearby just so I can go on another charter with him. 10/10 worth the money, and I can't say enough good things about my experience!

Chris was by far the best guide I have ever fished with. First, we went and caught bait fish for the day. Watching this dude do his thing was an awesome experience and saves you loads of money on buying bait! Worth the 15 mins trust me!! We then went on and caught dolphin fish, king fish, snappers, and Bonita untill my arms fell off!! When we got back to the marina it was incredible how many other boats came back empty handed!! That's when I knew I picked the right captain. Will definitely be using him again on our next trip to Florida!

If you are looking to do some fishing with some friends and have a great time then call Captain Chris of Le-Mieux Charters! I have been on other charters which were those big diesel engine boats with a crowd of people you don't know and you end up getting naucious from the fumes. Never again! Captain Chris offers a very personal, hands on fishing experience. He showed us how to throw a cast net to get some bait fish and then took us out. He asked us what we were interested in catching and then navigated out to his spots. We started fishing for bonita just to get the feel for the "fight." We bagged about 20 of those suckers before moving on to catching some "eatin" fish. He baited the hooks with some squid and we dropped the lines at his spots and we started landing the red snapper. At the end of the day, we walked away with 20 red snappers, a handful of trigger fish and a couple of others. The rate for a four hour excursion is more than reasonable and competetive with the other charters that go out from around here. The difference is the small group, hands on, personal experience you get from Capt Chris aboard his 27 foot tourney rigged Conch. We will definitely be booking our next excursion sooner rather than later.

Chris is fantastic. You will not be disappointed! We hooked 2 sailfish and a 22+ lb mahi mahi, plus dinner many times over. Bring a cooler, you'll need it. He is very knowledgable, knows where to float, helps you to bring your catch on board with proper technique. This is not the bells & whistles tour boat but a great charter for true sports fisherman.

    An awesome day

We had a fantastic time fishing with Captain Chris. We've done a few other local charter fishing trips, but Capt. Chris was the most knowledgeable (and genuinely friendly) that we've experienced - he knew exactly where to take us, and the kids had a fantastic time reeling in almost 20 fish (14 of which we were able to keep). The family is already clamoring for their next fishing trip with Capt. Chris.

Had a great "first fishing" experience with Captain Chris a few weekends ago and already looking forward to our next trip back. I chose Le-Mieux charters as a birthday fishing trip for my boyfriend- based only on my research and other reviews- and I am so glad I did! Captain Chris was super knowledgeable, patient, and a great hang! We began the trip by watching Chris work diligently to catch the live bait fish and it was clear he knew what he was doing as we saw a few other boats around us struggling and scaring the bait fish away. Captain Chris took us to two different spots to catch different fish and showed us exactly what to do. We ended up with some delish red snapper for dinner, as well as one other type (can't remember which!), and I don't think I've ever tasted fish so fresh!! Chris even cleaned and filleted the fish for us at the end of the trip. Captain Chris is super passionate about his craft and really knows the ins and outs of the area. Overall, such a great experience and we can't wait to take our family members with us next time.

I went out with this company earlier in the year. Had a nice morning on the water with Capt. Mati, a great guy who seemed to know what he was doing even though we didn't catch anything. I was looking forward to going back out with them, but now this. What is wrong with people? JC from Palm Beach

I booked this trip a month and a half in advance due to an Instagram post and their 5 star reviews. I talked to the owner on the phone and shared that we had four small children and four adults. I was told the boat held 10 people. We discussed going to peanut island and everything seemed great. I showed up on the day of departure (with all of our food and drinks)...was allowed to board the boat only to find out they booked us for a captain who was only allowed to charter six people. After several phone calls, we were told we had to get off the boat or leave two people behind. Obviously having two families - we didn't have the option of kicking two people off! They agreed to refund our money but ruined our Memorial Day weekend plans of enjoying a boat!! It might not seem like a big deal - but explaining this to four small kids....it's heartbreaking. I thought someone would at least reach out with an apology of some sorts....as this was beyond ridiculous and even sent a message hoping for some type of explanation- NOTHING! At this point, I just want to save another family from booking a charter with them - especially if they are here for a few days as you can't trust this company to be responsible enough to actually take you out on the boat! More importantly, the owner could care less about making things right or extending a simple apology. If I was able to give zero stars- I would! Again! Be very very careful in choosing this company - they are completely unreliable and more importantly, don't care at all to extend an apology or attempt to explain!

Sunblock - check, Hat - check, water bottles - check, small towel - check and now I am ready. I've never been on this boat before, Lady K. I have no idea what it will be like. But I planned to have the morning off and just the thought of being out on the ocean was enough to get me to go, fish or not, I am going to have a good morning. I arrive and to my delight, there are only about 8 people on the boat, it's a Tuesday morning, and I know I will feel safe with lots of "social distancing." My only small concern in the fee went from $40 to $60 and when asked why I was told; COVID 19. OK, I get it, the boat's at 1/2 capacity and it's not like I have to add a new expense item to my weekly budget, but after today, I may just do that! We take off and the sky is so beautiful, the sun is up and the cloud formations are majestic. We are about 15 minutes out from the doc and I feel so happy being on the ocean in the fresh air; the ocean scent, the sun and warmth (it's not too hot yet) and the smooth ride is making my think of a why I came to Florida in the first place. Captain Frank and his first mate Bobby are out helping us get set up with bait and in my case rod and reel. I asked about the cost of my loaner, Bobby responded it would cost about $300 to replace. I held on even tighter at that point. We find our first spot, I am told to let it out all the way and hit the bottom, we are "drift fishing" which is simply letting the natural drift of the ocean and light wind move us along. People are catching fish! I apparently am feeding fish! My bait keeps disappearing in bites as they eat around the hook. Smart little buggers. I am an hour in and I get a hit! It's a big one, feels like a whale, but it's actually much smaller and it finds a way to get free before I pull him up. This happens now several times and I am pretty sure there's a sign on my hook that says "beginner" and the fish know it. Finally, I catch a sweet little yellow tail and I am so happy! It was almost the end of the trip so the timing was perfect. A delightful ride back to shore and Captain Frank offers to filet my fish for me. A few others didn't want their yellow tail so it became part of my take home. Later that evening, a scrambled egg, a little breading, a fresh lemon and a hot iron skillet was all I needed to have a memorable dinner. A great way to end a delightful day on the ocean. I will be back!
