Caught a Wahoo and was the species I was searching for at the time since in our local Texas offshore waters are so shallow making a long ride to be deep enough to try also few and far between to catch one. lemeaux was the best for the search and he came through as promised. Our captain Stan got us on to 2 sailfish. One was 7 feet long. His ability to spot them, anticipate their movement, and get them to take the bait was amazing. After things slowed down he asked us if we wanted to try to catch a shark over a wreck before heading in. He predicted what he expected to happen and right on cue we get a hit. My 14 year old grandson landed a 10 foot bull shark that weighed around 500 pounds. A fishing day that will never be forgotten. read more

Chris is awesome. I took my father in law out for his first fishing charter and it was amazing. He was a friend of a friend of a friend, so I wasn't sure what I was going to get. Chris was by far the best guide I have ever fished with. First, we went and caught bait fish for the day. Watching this dude do his thing was an awesome experience and saves you loads of money on buying bait! Worth the 15 mins trust me!! We then went on and caught dolphin fish, king fish, snappers, and Bonita untill my arms fell off!! When we got back to the marina it was incredible how many other boats came back empty handed!! If you are looking to do some fishing with some friends and have a great time then call Captain Chris of Le-Mieux Charters! I have been on other charters which were those big diesel engine boats with a crowd of people you don't know and you end up getting naucious from the fumes. Never again! Captain Chris offers a very personal, hands on fishing experience. He showed us how to throw a cast net to get some bait fish and then took us out. He asked us what we were interested in catching and then navigated out to his spots. We started fishing for bonita just to get the feel for the "fight." We bagged about 20 of those suckers before moving on to catching some "eatin" fish. He baited the hooks with some squid and we dropped the lines at his spots and we started landing the red snapper. At the end of the day, we walked away with 20 red snappers, a handful of trigger fish and a couple of others. The rate for a four hour excursion is more than reasonable and competetive with the other charters that go out from around here. The difference is the small group, hands on, personal experience you get from Capt Chris aboard his 27 foot tourney rigged Conch. We will definitely be booking our next excursion sooner rather than later. read more

Had a great "first fishing" experience with Captain Chris a few weekends ago and already looking forward to our next trip back. I chose Le-Mieux charters as a birthday fishing trip for my boyfriend- based only on my research and other reviews- and I am so glad I did! We began the trip by watching Chris work diligently to catch the live bait fish and it was clear he knew what he was doing as we saw a few other boats around us struggling and scaring the bait fish away. Captain Chris took us to two different spots to catch different fish and showed us exactly what to do. We ended up with some delish red snapper for dinner, as well as one other type (can't remember which!), and I don't think I've ever tasted fish so fresh!! We found Captain Chris from the great reviews and he did not disappoint. He is connected to the sea - he knows exactly what he's doing and where the fish are biting. Wow! This guy is legit! FISH ON all day. We have a freezer full of Dolphin and Tuna. He uses live bait and tray is key. He knows the water and a has a comfortable, safe boat. We come down to Fl every year and fishing is always on the itinerary. In the past, we've gone out on party boats with varying degrees of success and enjoyment, This year, we decided it might be worthwhile to try and charter a boat ourselves. That was the best decision I've made in a long time! Chris is an incredible, kind, fun and an amazing guide. I brought my 10 year-old twins out and Chris could not have been more patient and engaging with them. He made a point of explaining everything he was doing, showing them tips for casting and fishing in general and, most importantly, he kept looking for fish until he found them! It was an overcast day with rough waters so Chris kept us in the inlet and trolled around until he hit the jackpot. We landed in a spot where the kids were reeling in a fish every 3-5 minutes and loving it! When they caught smaller fish, Chris was just as excited as when they caught larger ones - it was awesome. He explained what each of the fish were, posed for photos and encouraged the boys to touch the fish and learn about them. When we got back to the dock, there were some pelicans there and he even encouraged the kids to feed them so they could see them up close. I fish a lot and have done on many party boats and charters in FL and NY and I can say without reservation, this was one of the best fishing experiences I've had! read more

If you are looking to charter a trip anywhere near Boynton Beach, or anywhere in South Florida for that matter, Capt. Chris Lemieux should be at the top of your list. Took one of my friends out for his bachelor party this past Saturday for a full, 8 hour trip, and we had a blast. Five guys were able to fish on his 27' Conch comfortably, and Capt. Chris put us on the fish as promised! We got started early, and fished nonstop for the full 8 hours. Chris worked his tail off to be sure that every guy on the boat had bait in the water, and he also gave great advice on some techniques that led to a couple nice wahoo! I would recommend Capt. Chris to beginners for sure, but also to people who may have a little more fishing experience. He is more than willing to cater to your target species, and knows his way around flying the kite for sailfish, offshore trolling, etc. When we got back to the ramp, he was more than happy to stay and clean the 30+ mahi we brought back. Fishing with Capt. Chris was like going out with one of your buddies, and his prices are competitive and affordable. I was referred to Capt. Chris from a good friend, and personally know several experienced fisherman who would choose Capt. Chris over any other captain in the Boynton area in a heartbeat. Captain Chris is very thorough and extremely knowledgeable about fishing. He is a great guy, very personable, and dedicated to safety. He is asking patient with those who don't know anything about fishing, and very eager to share knowledge. I brought my 80 year old stepdad, Dan, on his boat to go sail fishing because it was on his bucket list. Captain Chris was good at keeping him engaged so that he didn't feel left out even though he could not maneuver around the boat or reel in big fish by himself. Dan loved being on the boat and talking to Captain Chris about what fishing is like out here in FL. I also forgot to mention the my aunt, who just had foot surgery, was coming with us and captain Chris was very accepting and made our trip truly something to remember. Unfortunately we did not catch any sailfish when we went out, but we did reel in a big wahoo, which Captain Chris cut up for us so that we could cook it for dinner. It was delicious. Simply the best charter I've experienced in Southeast Florida. I should know I was a mate on a charter boat for eight years in Marco Island. Captain Chris goes out of his way to catch fish. He's a fisherman and loves it. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and experiences with his customers. Chris would be out there every day doing the same thing with his friends and not get paid. Go by yourself, take your wife, take your kids............everyone's going to love it. He's got great tackle; including kites and drogues and you'll catch fish. Chris talked me out of going out for a full day. I wondered why when he did. The reason was by the time four hours was up, I was ready to come home. My arm and back were tired. After catching live bait we were into the fish within 15 minutes and did not stop for the next 3 1/2 hours. We landed mahi, blackfin and bonito. My family and I had a great fishing experience thanks to Captain Chris. It had been a while since I had booked a private charter and I was really looking forward to it. Captain Chris was great. I think his boat was a 28 footer. He was waiting for us with a smile. At the dock and on time. We received his number from another captain who was busy that day. He is a younger captain in his 30's I suspect though I never asked him. We had our family of 5 on the boat and were not trophy hunting but looking for a fun day out on the water. It was perfect the ocean there just off shore is a beautiful blue. We went out till it was over 100 feet deep and drifted back toward the shallows and repeated this several times. Chris was very attentive to our 3 children. Making sure they each had a turn, even my 4 year old. When we were finished he didn't kick us off the boat like I have experienced in the past. He was very casual and relaxed and even showed my son some pointers on throwing our cast net. He fileted up some of our fish and recommended a great spot close by Hurricane Alley to cook up our catch. It felt like fishing with a friend, not someone who was just there for the paycheck great job Chris we will see you next time we are down in Fl.
