The parking lot…read moreabsolutely fills up during the morning as there were people circling around when we departed at around 10am. The park spans both sides of the land with features on both the Intracoastal Waterway side of A1A and the ocean side with a narrow pedestrian walkway under the bridge on both sides of the inlet. A playground, restrooms, park space and then the "show" of watching boaters try to make their way. It's a tremendous thing to watch as these folks go too slow or too fast against the current and around the small bend to get between the Ocean and the Inlet. Sadly, I've only been able to see them on the Youtube channel as the two boats this morning both chickened out. Still, a fabulous spot to get near the water and beaches. During the COVID lockdown, walking the trails became my favorite pastime. Especially as a pregnant woman looking for peace and fresh air, lol. Years later, those same trails are still a favorite activity for my son and me. More recently, I've taken up disc golf and was excited to find out the group I joined regularly plays at the Okeeheelee course. It's been such a fun and engaging experience! Just yesterday, I attended a picnic at one of the park's pavilions, and it was wonderful. The swings and playground next to the pavilion made it perfect for a family-friendly event. The space provided plenty of seating and shade, so everyone could enjoy themselves without being overwhelmed by the heat. There's still so much of this park I haven't explored yet, and I genuinely look forward to continuing to visit for years to come.

After things slowed down he asked us if we wanted to try to catch a shark over a wreck before heading in. He predicted what he expected to happen and right on cue we get a hit. My 14 year old grandson landed a 10 foot bull shark that weighed around 500 pounds. A fishing day that will never be forgotten.

Blue Devil Fishing is the best there is! I highly recommend. Gary, Matt and Steve are the captains and they create such an amazing welcoming atmosphere to be in the best head space to slay fish. Fishing is fishing (not called catching) but we didn't get skunked, and any day of being on the water and fishing is better than any day working! I will definitely be out with them again to catch some more! And I got my dad (60yrs old) to go out with me and he had a blast, he was scared about it at first thinking he wouldn't be able to keep up and being on open water, but he wants to go out again he had such a fun time!

They supply the gear, the Kayak and the knowledge to put you on the pelagic fish! Caught a nice size king fish, Mahi, a mutton snapper (was a bit too small and we caught it on accident fishing for more blue runner bait) and even lost a fish that slammed my bait and made a huge splash. Unfortunately he cut my line. Kayak fishing is the ultimate experience in fishing. If you want to try it, these are the guys to go with. Thanks Deep Blue for the memories and the fun!
