A charming and busy café near the station. The continental breakfast was 9€, which seemed like a pretty good deal. It included one hot drink, orange juice, a baguette, and a croissant. Everything arrived quickly and tasted good. The server seemed a bit rushed and not very friendly, possibly because we were just tourists. Overall, it's a convenient spot for a quick breakfast, but nothing particularly special or memorable.

Excellent experience. We came here for part of our 1st anniversary and we loved everything: the ambience, the food, the service. The steak and potatoes were definitely the quality we were hoping for. While everything was really good, the Brioche cinnamon French toast stole the show. It was so good I forgot to take a picture! We have tried replicating the recipe since we got back the U.S. unsuccessfully. Next time we're in Paris, at least one dessert here will be in our future!

Excellent service, great outdoor seating. The best dessert we have ever had was brioche French toast with salted caramel sauce and salted caramel ice cream!! Wow

    Onion soup and potato gratin

The onion soup was very ok....sort of bland. The steak skewer was decent....good sauce. Favorite items were the gratin potatoes and the desserts. The brioche French toast with the salted caramel ice cream was great. Atmosphere was pretty nice. Service was decent. Good restaurant to go to if you are in the area.

The setting and service alone sets this restaurant apart from others. Three of us diners, 1- chicken, and 2- short rib and all sides were superbly succulent and the béarnaise and curry sauce were out of this world! The sauces were made to a perfect savory, robust, and elegantly elevating experience, as well as extremely satisfying and happiness for the palate. I was wary of the potato mash having nutmeg in it, but the subtle addition made it so much better. We will definitely dabble in nutmeg for mash in the future. This is a do not miss this place. Would definitely recommend the food, setting, staff, and wine! Good work acts passion are all here!

Very, very friendly service, checked on me and made sure I was ok. Escargot was mostly good, one was strangely fatty (first time for me and I had to spit that part out. Fish was good but the rice caught me off guard with the curry flavor. Bread and butter on point.

service is super excellent, and escargot is really well made. careful attention to detail theoughout this whole restaurant in its food and customer service. however, food is mediocre (had the ribeye steak) but the quality of care and experience overall makes this place stand out.

When: Sunday at 10:30pm Party Size: 2 French Onion Soup: 9/10 Jam-packed with flavor compared to what I had at a different restaurant. Strong onion flavor which was heavenly. The bread inside must have been toasted before they added it because it still had a nice crunch to them. I recommend getting a bowl. Escargot: 8/10 It came with 6 snails, perfectly presented and pretty large. They were easy to get out and were covered in pesto which made these very tasty. I'd get these again. Foie Gras: 7/10 This was the first time I had foie gras cold and it was good. Very strong flavor when eating by itself. However, when you add a little bit of the peach chutney with greens on a slice of bread....it is a perfect bite. The chutney is very sweet but delicious and can overpower the liver so just put a dab. It was also a healthy portion of foie gras. Burger + Fries: 8/10 The burger was okay, nothing memorable. The sesame bun was a little dry but the aoilis on it help moisten up the bite. Fries were better than previous places in Paris, but similarly, nothing special. Service: 10/10 The place was empty since they close up at 12am I believe. With that said, both waiters were super attentive to us and put two tables together for us to accommodate what we ordered. It was a joy. Ambiance: 6/10 There was only one person there when we arrived late at night. I actually really enjoyed that it was quiet. We sat outside and it was so peaceful Sunday. Overall: 8/10 One of my favorite meals in Paris this trip. I'd come back for dinner.

On the other hand, it made me realize that my mother was a terrible cook. Bistro des Augustins is a small, cozy venue offering both indoor seating and terrace seating near Pont Neuf. It serves a small number of curated dishes, including a wonderfully traditional Bistro Gratin in a homey ceramic dish served piping hot with a brown crispy cheesy top, herbs, spices and chicken. You can also get it with salmon. My brothers and I only saw my mother use our gas range to light her cigarettes, sanitize needles to remove our splinters, and make s'mores during the summer months when she couldn't muster the energy to take us 'outside camping.' I mean, all she had to do was borrow a cookbook, which I'm sure were readily available from maybe a neighbor or in any local bookstore or the public library. How hard is that? I was the only kid who brought a can of tuna and his own monogrammed can opener to school every day. Every day. And mom convinced me that the tuna holster she got me for my birthday was cool and hip. I was a naive mercury-filled fool, although I did become a very fast runner in junior high school because of the tuna holster. The interior décor of Bistro des Augustins is informal and vintage bistro style - wooden tables, traditional chalkboard menus, and soft lighting - creating a relaxed and comfy ambiance. My eyes have been opened to what's possible. Thank you Bistro des Augustins for expanding my culinary horizons. Five stars.

THE FOOD ------------------…read more= Fermier - Cheese gratin with chicken was good. Didn't blow me away, but was solid with the creaminess of the sliced potatoes and emmental cheese combined together with mixed vegetables. The cheese was very strong though, so anything else was unfortunately pretty much overpowered by it. Arrived with bread, but it DEFINITELY could use other carb options to sop it all up (e.g., rice???)! = Landais - Cheese gratin with duck. Same comment as the above, except the Landais had egg and goat cheese also mixed in with almost the same ingredients as the Fermier. THE SERVICE ----------------------- + The lone waitress, who also worked the role as greeter, cashier and bartender was friendly. + Food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------------ = Small, tight restaurant. = Not many tables inside - 6 in total. + Located a few blocks away from the more touristy restaurants, towards the East, on a much quieter street. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Nada.
