They have a nice variety on their menu and every worker I encountered was friendly. I ordered a salmon bagel and a side of hash browns. I was expecting the salmon to be raw and it was cooked, but it was fine. I also think the sandwich would have tasted better if it were on an everything bagel instead of a plain bagel. The atmosphere and food are great! The reason for the 3 stars is that the restaurant closes at 2:00 pm, but it's typically out of food selections or the kitchen begins shutting down at 1:00 pm even though it continues sitting past 1:00pm. In my party's case, we checked in for sitting around 12:45. By the time we made it to our table, the food selection was limited. My husband and I visited Le Peep for the first time this weekend and overall we enjoyed the experience. This site has only been open for maybe 2 weeks and you can tell that they are still working out some kinks (staff). However, I do feel like we will be back again. The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly and the food was served hot. They have some of the best pancakes I've had in a long time. I did notice that some prep work was being done out in the restaurant itself and that wasn't necessarily a good impression, but that could be related to it being new and working out the bugs. They do have outdoor umbrella seating which is a nice option. Nice neutral decor. EDITING TO UPDATE: We have continued to visit LePeep and have continued to be pretty happy customers. Noticed they started heating the plates which helps keep food hot longer, which may seem trivial but is a nice change. Some "Pancakes of the Month" are tastier than others so just experiment! One word of caution: my husband ordered the POTM, and we asked for one extra pancake so I could try one. It ended up costing $5.50 for ONE pancake. I could've gotten a whole stack of larger ones for almost 8$!. So confirm with your server about the cost of any extras or substitutions. Still a nice little place for breakfast. :) read more

Previously, this had been one of our go to for breakfast places on Saturday. However, this morning the service and the food was less than stellar. When my husband's breakfast came out, he asked for a second piece of toast, because the first tasted if a chemical. When we got our bill, we had been charged $2.50 for a single piece of toast. This place is awesome ! It's a family owned place and the service is amazing. Most of the time there is a wait because it's so popular but it's really easy to find a spot at the bar if you don't care to eat there. The menu caters to everyone, especially if you're on a diet. I've mostly sat at the bar and the experience has always been great. The bartenders are always attentive and the drinks always taste great. Well-known by most locals, this place is busy on weekend mornings. Even though the line was out the door, we only had a wait time of 20 minutes. We were excited by the buzz of the place, seeing waitstaff smiling, noticed the smooth operations, and commented that patrons seemed pleased. Ordering the eggnog waffle was disappointing, as was the specialty coffee drink. The waffle was fresh, but lacked an eggnog flavor like the beverage version. It tasted like a white flour, basic "run of the mill" waffle. Was eggnog used in the batter? If so, it was not apparent. Maybe it could be topped off with an eggnog whipped cream, a dash of vanilla, and dusted with a touch of cinnamon. The specialty coffee drink was served in a clear stemmed glass which was appealing, but it was lukewarm -- at best. Again, nothing special. Now the eggs, oh, the eggs. My guest was very satisfied with one of their popular omelets. Good portion, not huge, fit for one meal or easily divided for two. read more

Great location! Great fresh food with a lot of healthy options! Love the fact that we have a brunch place where you can get a mimosa or Bloody Mary. That's been missing from this area. It's a little pricey but not anymore than other similar restaurants. They do a great job of greeting their customers. My only complaint is that the service has definitely been slipping over the last few months. Everyone is really nice but some of the servers are just very slow and not attentive. We have been here twice in a few months and I am giving it 5 stars for both visits. It is nice the use the no wait app since they are always packed so we can get in line while we are driving there. We never have waited more than 5 minutes with the app. Our servers have always been amazing. Our waiter the first time was so outgoing and hilarious 10/10 for him. The second time our waitress was a 10/10 and was extremely hardworking and accommodating, we loved her!! Now to the food... 20/10. Amazing. You can't go wrong with anything you order here. It is just amazing. I am almost speechless writing this remembering how good the food is. We go here for birthdays sometimes because our family loves it so much. The manager is a crook. Asked for one small sized pancake to try with 2 full orders of breakfast combos. Every time we've done this it's been a buck or so, this time it was 7 dollars. I've been here twice and I have to say that everything is just kind of meh. The first time I visited a few months ago, the service was very slow and our food arrived at different times. There were four of us in my party. When I say the food came out at different times I don't mean they brought out a few dishes and then immediately brought out the rest. There was about a 10 minute wait between what I ordered, what my husband ordered, and what the other two people in my party ordered. The second time I visited, which was this past Sunday morning, my cousin put our names on the online waiting list and it told us to arrive at 11:45 AM. It was just the two of us. We arrived at about 11:35 AM, checked in at the host stand, and we were told it would be another 30 minutes. They are very busy and popular so we didn't think anything of it. About 20 minutes later, my cousin checked the app where she signed in for the online waitlist and it said that we were next in line. This was sooner than expected, so we were pleasantly surprised. However, we noticed that the host kept seating other parties in front of us. If I had to guess, I would say another 6 to 7 parties were sat. These were small parties of 2 to 4 people. After we had been waiting for 40 minutes I decided to approach the host stand and ask where we were in line because the app kept saying we were next. The host told me that we, in fact, were next to be seated. A few minutes later, the same host called another party of two and sat them. I then approached a manager that was standing at the cashier stand and asked him if there was a way he could check to see where our place in line was. miraculously, we were seated next. The host sat us at a dirty table, and my cousin actually got up and grabbed a spray bottle and some paper towels to clean off the table. A few minutes later a server approached to ask for our drinks. She was friendly. I noticed that the manager on duty, not the same one I approached earlier, walked around to every table to ask them how their food was. This is impressive. The only problem was he skipped our table every time he walked around the dining room. I drove from the Dayton area specifically to eat at this restaurant and I will not waste my time or money again. I can get better pancakes at First Watch and better mimosas at Lily's Dayton. read more

We finally got sat and waited on only to find out the food was significantly less than subpar. We were a party of 4 so we got four different plates and none of us could finish our meals. The only good item we got was a side of goetta. If I was leaving a review on food alone it would be zero stars. I'm giving two stars because the service was decent and everyone was nice.
