We eat there regularly. Love the chili and the fish and chips! It has a "Cheers" atmosphere.

bucks Tavern is great. For being in kind of what is a strip mall the restaurant is cozy as a lively atmosphere always has sports on and it has a fireplace The service is always fantastic too. Great ambience and a great menu and great food. We went to he Great Wolf Lodge and this place was recommended by a few people on FB. We really enjoyed it and the Salads were fantastic! We will come back. My wife loved her Strawberry Salad! My son had the Chopped Salad and it was amazing as well! I had the Hot Ham and Cheese and it was good (especially the pretzel bun) but next time I will get the Salmon Salad. The soup of the day was Lobster Bisque and it was very good as well. read more

My in laws brought us to Bucks Tavern to show off one of their favorite spots in the area. They usually sit at the bar, but it was a busy Saturday night and with four of us, there just wasn't room. We ended up waiting about 20-30 minutes for a table and hung out in the little entrance room where they had a few seats. We realized most people were hanging out in their cars and that was probably a better and warmer idea. Our server was friendly and grabbed waters and our other drink orders right away. We ended up ordering their version of mozzarella sticks (half moon shaped pieces) and stuffed mushrooms (deep fried and stuffed) for appetizers and both were great. I loved the house made sauces that paired with them. I ended up ordering the Italian Beef sandwich with extra giardiniera and a side caesar. The beef was really flavorful, but the sandwich started falling apart when I tried to eat it so I ended up going knife and fork with it. I think next time I'd order it with cheese like another Yelper did and maybe some Italian dressing so pour over. The giardiniera was delicious! My husband got the chicken fingers and french fries (they don't come as one meal) and ranch and the portions are very generous. He didn't end up finishing everything, but really enjoyed it. My FIL got the pot roast sandwich with a side chopped salad and my MIL just got the chopped salad. THey love this spot and especially the chopped salad. The server made sure our waters were full and checked on us frequently. The whole space feels like someone's basement with the decor and the food definitely has a more personal touch. The portions on everything were great and the pricing seemed about right for the area and what you receive. Would come back again! read more

Loved this place. First time I've ever eaten there and it was great. The service was fantastic and the food even better. We had a long wait for a Sunday at 4:30 but once we were seated all went well. My husband and I wanted to try a restaurant that was new to us. We decided on Bucks Tavern because it was nearby and has a good rating on Yelp. We were seated right away and a server presented us with a menu and took our drink orders. The menu is small but everything sounded good. We ordered a soft pretzel as an appetizer and it was 3 soft pretzel sticks. It was very tasty. I ordered a cheeseburger with fries and my husband got a meatloaf with fries. We both really enjoyed our meals. The fries were excellent. The decor of the restaurant was very nice and welcoming. read more

Bucks was recommended to me by some friends who work there in the kitchen, they hyped up the burger, you know I hada try it. I sat at the bar, bartender was cool, not a crazy craft draft list tho so I went with the bells ipa (rating on untapped) Only 2 burgers on the menu, plus the burger of the month, so I went with the bucks burger. Only comes with 2 toppings, i added pickle and onion. Came out relatively quick after looking around and enjoying the atmosphere with my drink. The burger was pretty good. Fries crispy, and the chili hit the spot. I prefer smash patty style more but one patty can be done right, example bucks. I wasn't blown away by the food, but the hunting/ homey atmosphere and excitement of the new burger of the month would bring me back. read more

I've eaten here many times over the last ten years and for the most part find their food very good for a bar. The prices have definitely gotten way higher which is a shame. What really ticks me off is charging $12 for chips and salsa! I thought it was a mistake when I looked at my check. That's flat out theft for just tortilla chips and jar salsa. Tried this restaurant yesterday for the first time. The most outstanding feature of our dining experience was our server, Samantha. She's in the top 5 of any server I ever had the pleasure of meeting. Extremely personable & helpful. One thing she said that impressed us was that she has a college degree and still choose to work there because it's a great fit for her. She doesn't look old enough to have worked there as long as she has. It says a lot about the owners and place in general. They've got the largest chopped salad I've ever seen and the one I saw was considered the side salad. They even let you order off the children's menu! Most places won't let you do that. Will definitely be back. Not a fancy place by any means, but there is a welcoming energy to it. read more

Hate to praise too much because there's usually a long wait as too many people already know how good this place is. But I love it so I'll just say we go here frequently and the food is always terrific. Service is excellent. They have the beer I want and I alternate between getting a cheeseburger or reuben, but always the onion straws (which unfortunately my wife loves too so I have to share). Their meat is from the butcher and not the supermarket and is a big part of why everything tastes so good. If you go, please keep it a secret. The wait line is already long enough. read more

They use beef from Wassler's Meats on the Westside - and it is absolutely perfectly seasoned and cooked. It has a bar and a regular seating area for just food guests.
