With a Google Maps rating of 4.9, this French bakery is incredibly popular on Instagram, so I specifically took the Commuter Rail here. However, I didn't find it to live up to its reputation; perhaps my expectations were too high. Strawberry Tart: Recommended by the staff as a "sure thing," it was indeed the best. The strawberries were fresh, and the custard filling was rich, creamy, and smooth. Unfortunately, it was too sweet overall, the crust was a bit hard, and the shop even provided a plastic knife, making it a little difficult to cut. Peach Puff: To be fair, this dessert had layers. Two fluffy puffs, a dense, mashed potato-like filling with a rich peach aroma, topped with fresh peach pieces, and even some pickled peach pieces hidden inside--a delightful surprise that perfectly matched the New England summer theme. However, this dessert was simply too big and too dense, and everything was sweet. I started feeling full and bloated after eating half of it. Croissant: The puff pastry was excellent, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with a great sense of airiness. However, the aroma of flour and butter was very faint, even less than that of Costco's croissants. The store aims to sell 1 million croissants, and by the time I visited, they had already sold over 180,000, averaging over 300 per day. Maybe I just don't appreciate it... Mango Sticky Rice Matcha: Their signature drink, but it was really bizarre... Mango and matcha completely didn't match or mixed with each other, and the aroma of sticky rice was completely masked.

Pistachio, dark chocolate, raspberry croissant, can you say everything but the kitchen sink, this was incredible

Popped in on a Saturday a bit after lunchtime, BEST TIME TO GO, only 2 people in line before us. Service was great, needed help figuring out what to try. Of course wanted to try the creme brulee latte and I havee n dreaming about it since. My caprese was delicious and the baked good DELICIOUS. Location has parking making that convenient but seating is tiny so had to get to go and no outside parking, they need to expand fo sho!!!

Parking lot so we didn't have any issues with finding a spot. Got here maybe an hour after they opened and they were already very busy. We came here for their Creme Brulee latte and we also ordered a Strawberry Matcha Latte. For food we ordered the Passion Fruit & Pineapple Danish and a Bacon, Egg & Cheese Croissant. I loved the Danish and the Croissant was very flaky and good. The Creme Brulee Latte came with a little hammer and it was a cute concept. The Lattes were good but both were pretty sweet. Overall, a very cute bakery with cute decor. Decent service. Gets busy though so getting here early was a good idea.

This would've easily been 5 stars if it wasn't for the stone cold quiche :') the main reason we ordered a quiche was to have a hot breakfast item on a cold day. I had no idea it would actually be served straight from the refrigerator. I wish they would have a nice large sign by the window case to say that they don't warm them up on the weekends before noon. No one said anything when I ordered it either, I only found out when I went back to ask after ordering. We ended up eating it cold but I can say confidently that a quiche is not a quiche when you eat it cold.. Disappointing. But the three stars are for everything else. The tiramisu latte (you could actually taste the coffee and it wasn't like liquid dessert!), tomato pesto danish, pistachio raspberry croissant, and the quiet star - the strawberry Charlotte, were all pretty amazing. I would love to visit again but I like me a hot savory breakfast (along with a delicious pastry!) and that seems unlikely at Le Petit Four on the weekends.

If you're looking for an authentic French bakery, La Petit Four is a place you don't want to miss. Everything they make is exceptional. The pastries, croissants, breads, sandwiches, and desserts are always fresh and absolutely delicious. What makes this bakery even more special is the people. The young team is always smiling, friendly, welcoming, and full of positive energy. They genuinely make every customer feel appreciated. I used to stop by a couple of times a week, but now I find myself coming almost every day--before work, after work, or anytime I'm nearby. Great food keeps you coming back, but the wonderful people are what make this place unforgettable. A special thank you to Angie, Stephanie, Trevor, George and the entire team. You all do an amazing job. I highly recommend La Petit Four to anyone looking for outstanding French pastries and wonderful service.

After all the hype, I finally came to try this bakery out on a weekday when it wasn't super busy. There was a short line so I had to quickly decide what I wanted to get. I ended up with passionfruit pineapple danish, passionfruit eclair, peanut butter cookie, Apple turnover, and pistachio almond chocolate croissant. My favorites were definitely the danish and croissant. It's a fairly small cafe, but there are a few tables and couch area if you want to enjoy your pastries and drinks inside. The passionfruit danish is a great summertime pastry with the juicy pineapple pieces in it. I absolutely loved the passion fruit filling in the eclair, but the pastry of the eclair was pretty dry . The pistachio croissant had a lot to it, very heavy and thick. Between the pistachio and raspberry jam filling it packed a punch. The apple turnover was okay, but had very little filling. The peanut butter cookie was great a few days after being bought. I hope to be back to try their other pastries and drinks next time.

This place is impressive! That's why it's wildly busy. Drove by a couple of times and didn't take the plunge as the lines were long, but one time was not as crazy so gave it a go. So glad I did... I love it here. The place is smallish, but the flow of customers works well, and it moves quickly.... as they have a good staff, very friendly and accomodating too. As you pass the display cases on your way down to the rear of the store to order, you see all the beautiful looking pastries, cakes, sandwiches, etc... so much goodness! Everything looks so good it's hard to figure what to get. OMG!! Loved everything we ordered... my favorite was the Almond Croissant. Coffee drinks properly made and excellent. Enjoyed it so much, I came back the next day to try more things, but wasn't aware they are closed on Monday. Don't let that happen to you!! It's the kind of place you wish you had in your neighborhood... you could visit every day. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Le Petit Four Bakery is the kind of neighborhood spot that genuinely earns the reputation it has built. Walking in, the space itself made an impression before I even got to the pastry case. The decor felt warm and inviting, and the display of breads and pastries made the ordering process genuinely difficult because everything looked exactly as good as it should. I worked through a solid spread across my visit. The croissant is exceptional, with a proper lamination and a buttery, flaky exterior that holds up on its own without needing anything added to it. The almond croissant takes that foundation and builds on it well, with a generous amount of almond filling and a finish that does not lean too sweet. The pain au chocolat follows the same standard, the chocolate inside is good quality and the pastry around it has the right amount of crispness without being dry. The canele is a smaller order but worth including, with that characteristic caramelized exterior giving way to a soft, custardy center that is easy to underestimate until you are halfway through it. The creme brulee latte rounded out the order nicely and was a good match for everything on the pastry side of the table. It is rich without being overwhelming and complements the food rather than competing with it. The line moved well even when the place was busy, and the staff were friendly and engaged throughout. This is one of the better French style bakeries I have found in the area, and it holds up to that comparison without much debate.

Phenomenal! I over order every time I come here, and I never regret it. All of the pastries are fresh and flavorful, and the laminated ones shatter and flake perfectly. The space is really small, so be prepared to wait a bit if you're looking to sit. Luckily there's plenty of parking and outdoor seating in the warmer weather. The ube latte is so unique and delicious, it's a sweet treat in itself. Apricot danish and kouign amann were the fan favorites. Millefeuille and mushroom danish were my personal favorites. But seriously you can't go wrong with anything here. Least favorites (but still very good!) were the sandwiches. Our filled brioche came unfilled, but after contacting them they handled it so professionally and the refund was seamless.

With several more visits under my belt -- literally and figuratively -- I'm appreciating them more and more. All the observations from my first review remain true, except I discovered they DO have a restroom. The croissants and other pastries keep getting better and better. A few specifics: -- Chocolate Croissant: Haven't had a warm one, but they're always fresh, buttery, crackly, and fluffy. Decent chocolate too. -- Blueberry Danish: Both key components shine here. The blueberries are fresh, sweet, and have a good bite, plus enough compote between them to keep things moist. The vessel is very crunchy, very buttery, and very fresh. Worth getting often. -- Kouign Amann: Theirs is superior to all others I've ha, which can lean toward the plain side, but at Le Petit Four they deftly combine crunchy, flaky, doughy, airy, buttery, and syrupy-- in all the right places. Even slightly warm at opening. -- Sugar Brioche: This one DOES lean toward the plain side, with the large crystals of sugar elevating it past mere bread. For those who like subtle. Likable, but I like everything else more enough to probably not get it again. -- Almond Croissant: Good size, good crunch, and plenty of filling that tastes natural, not like chemicals. -- Pain au Raisin: Swirly, with lively raisins, soft dough and just a bit of crunch. One try was warm. A good rendition. Coffee is pretty solid too. Service still friendly and efficient. Plenty of free and easy parking. Reasonable pricing compared with the competition of similar quality. Best time to come for both quality and seating is weekday mornings, when most customers are taking their bounty to work.

Came here on a Saturday and there was a line that extended to outside of the door. However, it did go by fast. Their bakery items were nicely detailed and there were many options! Unfortunately the seasonal crème brûlée latte was out of stock. I ordered an ice tiramisu latte and ice strawberry matcha latte. Both drinks were delicious and beautifully made. I wanted to especially point out the kindness of the staff there. I had spilled my tiramisu latte all over the floor while adding sugar to my matcha drink- big womp :(! However, the staff was SO nice and accommodating about it. She quickly made me a replacement and someone came to help clean up the mess. I felt so so bad and everyone there was so friendly about the situation. A would've-been sad day was turned upside down. I forgot to ask for her name but it was the hard-working lady with blue hair!! She's a keeper! Of course I gave a decent tip for their thoughtfulness. Would highly recommend and come back!

Amazing latte! Loved it. My only complaint is I wish they would get those bigger dome lids for their specialty lattes, cause it takes a very long time to fit the lid on to take them to-go, and a lot of spilled coffee

They even have a coffee bar with hot breakfast & snacks like oatmeal, waffles, croissant and egg sandwiches, etc. I went into their Feature Flavors menu and was delighted to find a personal favorite - Orange Chocolate Chip "Creamy orange ice cream with soft, dark chocolate chips". It was outstanding. My wife went with a dish of Coconut Almond Chip - "Ultra coconut creamy ice cream with sweet, shredded coconut, roasted salted almonds, and semisweet chocolate chips in this chewy-crunchy textural delight". I know the staff well at this store and loved shopping here for not only the convenience but the small town/local market type of environment. The Assistant Store Manager Jose completely shattered my trust. In July, Assistant Manager Jose stepped in to address an incident I had with a cashier on store policy (after I had already connected with corporate about it). He vehemently apologized and even purchased me a bottle of wine as an apology. He reassured me that he would speak to the cashiers about it going forward. On Friday, he denied it all and implied it was a one time exception. What upset me most isn't the store policy - I understand and respect that. It was the dishonesty and lack of clear communication. Had management politely communicated in July that this was an exception instead of providing me with a gift and false sense of reassurance it would have drastically changed the circumstances. A manager should stand behind his word or at least address discrepancies with respect. Instead, he denied our conversation happened and he did it in front of staff members I've built relationships with over years. After 6 years of loyalty, I feel completely disrespected. I'm heartbroken because this store meant something to me - it felt like home. I can't trust a business where management lacks integrity.
