I was confused how he knew we were from NY, but then I realized my big homie was wearing a Karl Anthony Towns Knicks jersey. We got our hands on the smoked meats sandwiches, and went to eat them on a bench nearby. While this thing was good, and the perfect meal to combat my major calorie deficit, it's just not Katz's. People who say this is better than Katz's have just simply never had Katz's. I honestly would've enjoyed it, and not even thought about the comparison, if bro in line didn't act like this was about to change my life. Comparison truly is a thief of joy. Everytime we call they take the time to answer and make sure what we want is in stock! We call ahead before driving since it's a lil drive but nonetheless they actually answer and call us back to make sure they have what we're looking for. The place is very clean and lots of delicious specialties. It's a mix they got a fresh bakery on one side and then ready to eat meals all over the store ans even packaged items in the middle and throughout the store. For lunch I ordered a chicken wrap and Pooh ordered the Moe's burger My wrap was warm; the chicken was tender and the mayonnaise aioli was delicious. Last time I was at Chez Benny was about 6 years ago and I'm still thinking about their Shawarma in a Laffa. I couldn't finish it and I sure as hell wanted to. Mind you, I did have a fantastic lunch for the next day. I'd put it on par with Doctor Laffa in Toronto. But it is delightful to know that there is a great option the next time I travel to Montreal (which I am severely due for). It seems from their website that they have upgraded since I have been there. Can't wait to go again!

Compared to other falafel I've had, it was pretty bad. It is overpriced for what it is but I was explained that this is the norm for kosher restaurants. I would not return to this restaurant.

That means prices are going to be higher. Part of that is the mechanics of supply and demand. Part of it is due to the structures of what qualifies as kosher meat. If you don't like it, eat treyf.

The staff is friendly, the food is great and overall, just a comfortable place to be!
