Really cool spot! We went for a 90'a vs. 00's party and it was amazing!!! Great drinks, good vibes, & pizza included a millennials dream lol We even got to check "dance battle" off our bucket list! overall we had an amazing time and would totally go back!

I saw Ceu perform at LPR a few weeks ago. It was a good show and very much you need to attribute that to how LPR is run. It gets crowded on the GA floor. Great show!

The show carries most of this review (the French cabaret, Madame Arthur). Le Poisson Rouge is described as a "barn-like" venue. Seems most often it's for concerts in "standing room only" format (no thanks, I'm middle aged and want a seat and to be able to see the stage). For Madame Arthur, there were cheaper standing room only tickets, but also premium table tickets, which are still first come, first serve for buyers. The tables were four chairs smashed together with wobbly tables. Very little room. We were lucky that only three people ended up sitting on each side of our table because that was tight enough . . . never mind shoving four people into that space. The guy across from me was a bigger guy, and clearly uncomfortable. It was a suboptimal setup, but the ticket was less than 50 dollars, so to me, it was worth it. There is a two item minimum. Basic cocktails and drafts, but I think the real value is in getting the carafes of wine. I also got a cheese board, which for a place like this, was pretty good! Service was a little spotty and slow, but not their fault. There were a ton of people there and not enough staff. Entry into the venue was smooth, staff efficient and professional. Overall, would go to this place again. They have all sorts of events--concerts, comedy shows, dance parties, raves, etc. And I'm trying to find more American shows for Madame Arthur as we speak!

Great sound system & I have seen some cool music here but the bathrooms badly need renovation. Not only are they kinda gross but they are old with big gaps on the doors. Not ideal for a gender neutral bathroom. It made me kind of uncomfortable.

Came for an emo night $20 ish dollars. I forgot how much I truly paid. The security was chill, all he did was look at my ID. Didn't check my purse. You get stamped on the wrist, you can also go in and out anytime you want- The bathrooms are gender neutral. The dance floor itself was small and it was really crowded! Drinks overpriced but tasty.

    update your bathroom sink please.....

not bad but not the best. the y2k party is kinda corny like an emonite type of event. the DJ played chris brown asking the crowd "who fks w/ chris brown???" umm.... no one. also the bathroom sink needs updating. attached is a photo. what is that rusty old pipe

I came here for a musical performance by Steve Mason, formerly the lead singer of the Beta Band from Scotland UK. I arrived here early. The ambience is decent. It's an absolutely fabulous place to see your fave bands up close and personal. If you want to get near the stage and literally be able to eat out of the palm of your rock-n-roll superstar hero, get there early, it's a win- win. Now service at the bar was prompt and seamless. The pain comes when you pay for your beverages. It's expensive, but then again, we are speaking of NYC. The island of concrete dreams and price tag screams. It's par for the course. They have gender neutral bathrooms. However, on this night, I think most people decided which bathroom was gonna be where the men relieve themselves and where the women go, separately. I had an enjoyable experience on the night I came here, it was a Tuesday. The place wasn't super crowded, the patrons were chill, and the music system as well as the acoustics, seemed to be flowing nicely.

Came here for a concert Thursday night and thought the space was decent, not too crowded and the sound system was good. Had a great experience and will come back again if there are other events happening here that I'd be interested in seeing.

A cozy place and staff was nice and professional. There was not a big selection of drinks. But I Understand as it's a Thursday and the group is compose of professionals. So I did not see anything wrong with it. I wish the coat check we was able to pay by card besides cash.

The fact that LPR can attract the talents of some of humanity's greats is it's greatest quality. The food is decidedly unattractive, drinks sufficiently boozy but uninspired mixes make them a clear meh, as for service-well that gets a paragraph of its own. We purchased "Premium Seats" for this show, arrived early to queue up for best choices pf the best options, got let in and made our way to our table. To say the location was awesome needs only a reference to the photo. We were the first to sit in the section others trickled in over the next 45 minutes. Soon they were having their orders taken and what's this?! Getting their mediocre fare. Note the pronouns here, they. Five minutes before show time we flag down our server who takes our order after having to go back to the bar with the other folks at our table (who had just landed) order first. Then he returns and can't figure out our order until he can scan and pocket my card. Now, he forgot ¾ of what we had said before the card so we repeat it all over again. Long story short, being early meant we got served last well into the first act. The show, as I alluded to was totally worth the discomfort of the s#%^^* chairs. But I have gone to High School gyms to see Mr. Elling. The seats at LPR rivaled those gyms in the contest for least comfortable venue seating. All-in-all Kurt Elling played a killer set after a smoking 40 by the Huntertones ahead of him. Nothing, not even the general sadness of the LPR offerings could diminish.

I went here for one of the Art Battle events, where sets of artists compete to see who can paint the best / most popular piece as voted by the audience. The event was well executed and this was a great venue for this! The staff were very helpful, there was a coat check, and a fully stocked bar. Four stars only because 1) I thought the drink prices were steep for what you get: $14 for a draft beer and 2) very limited seating options if you wanted to take a break from standing.

On Halloween night 10/31 are costumes allowed? Are people going to show up in costume?

    When days does Bingo Happen?

This might be a one-off or an occasional special event that is hosted by the venue as a search of their calendar finds limited results. In cases like these a phone call might not hurt. They are primarily known for holding concerts. Good luck.

What are their drink and food prices?

No food sine I have been going. Beer is about ten bucks!

    Is there a coat check?

Yes. It's usually right at the foot of the stairs, or inside the main dance hall.

How long does the band Jessie's Girl play for?

Hi Brittany, Thanks for reaching out. The band plays for, roughly, two hours. Hope to see you… Read more

New to the area and coming in from NJ for a Saturday night concert. Looking for advise as to where to find available parking?

I wouldnt attempt to park near LPR on a Saturday.. try to park your car in Jersey and jump on the train into the city.

I have been trying for weeks to make a reservation. No response on my many emails, and when I call they say they cannot help me over the phone and I must email. Has anyone had luck in making a reservation? Thank you.

As this is a music venue, you should just be buying a ticket for whichever event, online. They're not a restaurant so wouldn't take reservations, so I'm not sure how else to answer this. There's a list of events on their site and you can buy tickets!

    What is the dress code?

Jeans, t shirts, club wear. Very laid back (at least on the 80s and 90s nights). Not sure if they allow sports jerseys etc.

My Lourd it was good. If we had time I would have gotten an Oban they had, but we were off. But we will be back, maybe this year. After a long day of travel, we just needed something good. We arrived and they accommodated us in a back booth tucked behind the bar, perfect! Our waiter was a delight and very responsive. The martini was kick-ass and our waiter was kind enough to offer us many recommendations. We landed on Charbroiled Oysters, Steak Tartare, and French Onion Dip. The chicken cutlet and chicken dumplings were fine but I probably wouldn't order them again. The wait staff weren't super attentive nor super warm, but they were efficient when we asked for water refills, etc. There was ample standing room at the bar while we waited for our friends, but the table/booth that we sat at was super narrow, I was knocking knees with my friend all night and generally felt squished.
