Chef Kay and her amazing staff hosted an amazing 40th anniversary party for my dear parents. The entire party planning process was seamless. Chef Kay allowed me to drop off the decorations for the party the night before, when I arrived for the party everything was set up. We had appetizers passed throughout the party. My guest were able to pay for their drinks individually and there was no confusion. The food was hot and fresh. Chef Kay and staff kept up with keeping my guest fed and comfortable. The best hookah lounge in Western Mass by far. Warning: the joint is on the classy side and with that comes a price tag, but overall a great experience. The decor is fantastic and it is in a rapidly developing part of downtown. They clearly spent a lot of money on the inside and it creates a modern Middle Eastern atmosphere that is both lounge and club. Service and staff were all friendly and helpful. No complaints on that front. For food we got the hummus plate and curly fries. It was all delicious and reasonably priced. I'm looking forward to returning to try some kabobs! Drink wise we had a ginger martini, mango smoothie and waters. It's annoying they force you to pay for $4 bottles of water if you want water. It's bad for both the environment and your wallet. In fact, it's my least favorite thing about this place. It just seems like they are concerned about making money at every turn. This is why I'd give them 4.5 stars if I could.... Hookah was delicious. Coal service was on point and fast. Get the grapefruit or pineapple bowl. It lasts so much longer than the regular heads that it's worth the cost. Great flavor selection. The VIP section is a nice touch but seems out of place for me in a place like Springfield. Not a lot of people with $500 to drop on bottle service. It'd be cool if they had a more reasonable VIP section, they'd probably attract more locals that way. Overall great experience. So at first look, this place is beautiful. Great decor, great ambiance, good location. Until, you get the service. This might be the WORST service I have had in a while. It took 2 hours to get a fried shrimp plate. After everyone in my party was already served, and the three people in my group who came 2 hours after me were also served before me. And I had to address the waitress to ask where my food was before she told me "it takes a while to make the shrimp" smh. You first get amazed when you enter with how beautiful and thought out the interior and exterior design is. The chandeliers if you're inside, the beautiful flowers dangling from the ceiling if you are on the outside. The shisha. I've been to many places where hookah lounge tries to rip you off by you having to buy more refills, but Le Souk makes sure that it is a set price once you purchase your hookah. The food! Souk is a welcome addition to downtown Springfield. As not only one of the (very) few hookah options it doesn't have a lot of competition, but that doesn't matter because it stands quite well on its own. I'm addition to having alcohol (a lot of cocktails, $6ish beers) they have a wide array of teas that come with a rock candy stick as your sweetener. This simple but fun twist is a great example of how Le Souk really nails the details. I wasn't expecting much from the food, but the hummus platter was delicious and the beet hummus had a great mix of sweet and earthy flavors. My sister ordered the gluten free pizza and that, too, was quite good. After having all of the above I decided to try one of their pricier, novelty cocktails, the Red Millionaire ($24) and was not disappointed. This behemoth had liquor, red bull, and wine in it. Not to mention gummy bears, dry ice and candy adorned straws. While the logistics of drinking something with dry ice in the bottom get a little complicated when your drink freezes over, it was still a very fun and tasty drink if you don't mind the sweetness. A good size for two people, at least. One of my favorite parts was the decor - the lamps they have are just really beautiful and truly help to set the mood, along with the plentiful pillows and padded stools for seating. The space accommodates groups really well in addition to having smaller tables for just a few people. The best part of Le Souk was probably the service. Our server, Larissa, checked on us really often and put up with our chronic indecisiveness on many of our orders. Couldn't ask for a better server! read more

(wtf?) -I couldnt get a cup of water! (isn't this illegal!?!) I had to pay for a bottle. -after 1 solid drink a friend of mind could no longer be served without reasoning! (I'm from NJ, maybe that makes me self righteous but I don't understand! He works for the state of MA!) -obviously they're unorganized. When we first arrived, the tables were full. A hidden gem in downtown Springfield with a beautifully decorated interior and great food / tea / dessert options. We came here in the middle of the day, and it was almost completely empty. We ordered lunch and had a fun double date with hookah, dessert and tea at the end. All of the food was delicious and they offer great sauces with the meal. Good quality ingredients and satisfying portion sizes. It was a bit disappointing that they don't offer guests water (you have to buy it and it's bottled / served with no glass)... Also, when we ordered two kebab meals they said the wait for rice would be 30 minutes so they offered us to wait or have fries instead (we chose the fries)... but overall everything else was good. The hookah man changed the coals regularly and the flavor of it was smooth and non-harsh. Would recommend this spot for food and hookah. read more

Came into this place on a Friday night for my best friends birthday. PROS - The DJs are SOOOOO good. The place gets just as good as any club downtown. The belly dancer was awesome. I came here in a group of 4 people on Saturday night, and we had an amazing time. We had two hookahs (watermelon/mint and sex on the beach). We also had a Wanderlust drink, shots and a few other drinks, everything was reasonably priced and really good. The decor is really beautiful inside (especially the VIP section, even though we weren't sitting there lol). Everything from the fluffy pillows, the tables, and even the drinks, everything was beautiful. My favorite part was the music; earlier in the night there was a mixture of Middle Eastern music and top 40. After that, it was all party from there with reggaeton and bachata, and everyone was dancing. We didn't try any food this time, but I'd like to next time. We will be back!!! read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Although the environment indeed contained a beautiful atmosphere, I am utterly disgusted with the poor level of customer service and how much of a RIP OFF this place actually is. According to Springfield Massachusetts Law, it is still LEGAL for an 18 year old to be a patron at a hookah lounge, just because they serve alcohol does not prohibit someone from going there just to smoke hookah. That is the same thing as saying you can't sit at a restaurant because they serve wine! The owner KAY does not know proper etiquette or how to show class with patrons, very appalled at such poor management led by her, she did not seemed to be concerned with how her customers felt or have the slightest idea of how to handle a conflict. What is most shocking is how every time you come here there is always a "hidden fee" or cover charge, HOWEVER such fee is considered unethical and illegal, as a business needs to prominently post that, such as a sign, that it levies a cover charge and also list the amount. What is most appalling is how this establishment OVERCHARGES on receipts and exploits from unaware customers. There have been several times that I have been here as a patron, they have charged me for more than one hookah. But the worst experience of all came from the black bouncer in the front. Never have I ever have been that disrespected by a human being. For some reason he always picked on me and does not know how to mind his own business. Did not let me in with my family on their wedding day but let's skimpy little girls go in freely without checking ids and have caught him several times getting paid in cash to let people in. How revolting. This place is by far utterly disgusting in terms of managing their establishment, and I will pursue further legal action for the damages they have caused to me and my friends and family. There are so many other hookah bars out there who won't give you such a hectic experience, but indeed know how to provide a lovely experience for you and your friends and family. They are losing more and more valuable customers who used to come religiously every week from different states. Shame on you guys, you are an embarrassment.
